Okay...still didn't show me any contradictions. You showed me the original law of the old Testament. Since Christ died to make atonement for us, we are no longer bound by this. Romans chapter 4 is a good place to read. Romans 4:5- But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness. Romans 4:7- "Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered;(8) Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin." Romans 4:16- Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all. Romans 5:18-Therefore, as through one man's offense judgement came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in the justification of life. So that verse says we were condemned because of Adam's sin, but justified because of Jesus's sacrifice on our behalf. Notice the words "free gift," meaning we don't have to do anything more than accept it. We don't and can't earn it. We are saved by grace through faith! That's good news! We are freed from the law that the Jews (God's chosen people) had to uphold. So Leviticus really just gives us more to be grateful for because we were made free (if you accept Jesus as your personal saviour). Before you write back and say "what about homosexuality," let me address that right now. If God says something is an abomination...that holds yesterday, today, and forever. Something being an abomination has nothing to do with the law. An abomination is something that is contrary to God, and something that you will be damned for, unless you turn to Jesus and repent. You will see that this is repeated in the New Testament, meaning it still applies. Check out 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, and Romans 1:26-28. You will find that in the Bible, God repeats Himself when He really wants to drive a point home. You can bet that since it is said both in the old and new testaments, that God means business! I hope that this answers your questions, and I pray that you will seek Him. He wants to share a relationship with you. He's a personal God, and He offers you freedom. God bless you!
