I am a 40 year-old mother of 5. I homeschool. I love to read, write, and listen. I am a Christian, but my husband says I am a mystic, and I think most of my brothers and sisters would call me a heretic. I am an avid Harry Potter fan. I have learned much from the spiritual parallels I see in the books. I also like Tolkein and CS Lewis, Anne Rice, Richard Wurmbrand... I listen to a wide variety of music: Evanescence, Pink Floyd, Beatles, 80s, etc. I also like praise and worship and some classical. I think the old hymns hold great meaning because they were written by people who understood that the world did not revolve around them ... they had a purpose for being here that was beyond themselves. I have written two children's books, one of which I believe is publishable. I just need to get the gumption to look into it. Otherwise, I write fan fiction under the penname of hermionestargazer on fanfiction.net. I also write for the SS/HG Gift Exchange twice a year. My children are a joy and a treasure. They make me laugh, cry, and ache. I am not mom of the year, but we get along. We learn together, grow together, and get excited when God takes us to a new place together. Amen.
