  When it comes to facing the world head on, living in fast forward and hanging by a moment, Karen is no exception. This wide eyed full of spunk and spark girl is a true example of living life for the moment not for the future. Though through the years I have grown accustom to her loud, sarcastic, loving, wild, tell it like it is personality, I wouldn’t have her any other way. Karen, is the girl that when you’re down and out, she’s right there beside you telling you “let go,” “it wasn’t your fault,” and “the what ifs don’t count.”. She’s there reminding you that life goes on even if you want it to STOP…! She will hold your hair back when you puke, take you to dinner when your sad, sing out loud in the car to make you laugh.. She will remind you on a daily basis to let go of regrets, to make sure you tell everyone how you feel, even if it hurts to.. She reminds you to BE the person you are and truly KNOW the person you are. She’s the friend who rolls out of bed with one phone call, comes to your rescue, and lets you yell at her when she is there to help and you’re totally in the wrong…. She’s the friend that won’t let you walk away with un-fished business or hold on to regrets. She is the girl that when your heart is broken and you miss the love of your life, that sits there and cries with you, holds your hand and tell you its not fair that you got hurt. She always makes you feel better when she is around. Karen is the girl that when someone is hurt or hurting especially family and or friends she is there telling the person who hurt them how it is... You know like “BACK OFF”, “What a mistake you made when you…” and “Oh it’s on now”…She stands up against those who push people down and she doesn’t tolerate back stabbing or deceitful people. She can’t stand those who lie about things to make themselves feel better. She is all about getting the truth in the open and making things right in the world. She’s the friend that knows you’re darkest secret but doesn’t judge you. She is the one that you can lay down at night with and cry and she won’t laugh at you, she may even cry with you.. She is the girl that you can wake up at 4:00am for no other reason then just to talk and she won’t be mad at you. You can wake her up in the middle of the night, make her scoot over at night and laugh until the sun comes up and she won’t even say a word to next day about waking her up. Karen is the type of person who would go out of her way to make sure your okay, even if it means sacrificing something she wants. She is the friend that when she sees you making a mistake, she warns you and reminds you that she just doesn’t want to see you get hurt.. She is the one who when you make the mistake she warned against, she still never says “I told you so!!” even if she wants to.. She is the girl that when your broken hearted she will eat Doritos and ice cream with you til you fell better… Karen is the best big sister in every sense of the word… I advise you not to mess with her sister or brothers. She is quite protective. She is the one teaching and advising them “that life is not perfect, we all fall down and that one day you will look back and hopefully you will have no regrets in your life!!” She is the sister that is excited when her siblings do well, has a new boyfriend or girlfriend, and or when one brother is bringing a new life into the world… Karen is dedicated to her task. Whatever they might be! Karen is who she is… And lord knows that’s all I want her to be Karen thanks for being the person you are and for being my best friend. I wouldn’t know what to do without you.. Especially these last two years.. For the past years I knew that you were the person I would laugh with cry with and yell at.. I knew that you were going to be a big influence as well as a great shoulder to cry on. I love you for the person you are and the person you are not. Through the thick and the thin you’re my best friend. Thanks for being my strength, my roommate, my BEST FRIEND.
