One More Goodbye
|
Aiden had just gotten use to his little suburban town outside of Houston. He had just started to at least make a few friends. He had even scored a girlfriend in the process. He had never had a girlfriend before, he'd tried but was never successful no one ever liked him back. There was nothing wrong with him he just didnt know what to say around girls. But his new girlfriend is different he actually felt comfortable around her and knew she felt the same. He always knew the way she thought. Her name was Annie. Long blond hair, beautiful blue eyes, and a little on the plus side. But it was who she was that attracted him her, not what she was. It was going to be there month anniversary and they had plans to go out, but little did he know those plans were going to be rejected.
He had just left school and was on his way home. Annie and him had just departed down their desired streets and he was just about to arrive home. Once he arrived he saw what he thought was a For Sale sign on his front lawn. He rushed inside to see if it was a mistake, it wasnt. There were boxes everywhere and everything was packed and Aiden panicked.
"Whats going on, whys all are stuff packed??" he said with a worried look on his face.
"Well you see your dad was offered a new job in Los angeles and we'll be moving tomorrow." his mom said with a grin on her face which showed she took pity him.
"Your kidding right I just started to like it here and now your telling me we have to leave again!!" he started to get angry
"Im sorry honey, buts it her only option we dont make enough money here."her grin was now a frown
Now enraged with so much anger and hatred he sprinted out of the room and knocked over a stack of packed boxes with force on his way out. He rushed upstairs and into his room and slammed the door to see nothing in his room except the markings in his floor where his bed use to be. He thought "how could they do this to me again?" he began to sob. He punched the wall so hard that it even left a mark. He was so tired of moving it was his third time this year and that meant one more goodbye to his best friend/girlfriend and he didnt want to but had to. He climbed out his bedroom window on to the lower roof and leapt off on to the grass. With a small stumble he dashed off into the direction of Annies house. Once he arrived he noticed she was already outside on her porch swing just staring off into space. He loved the way she did that he thought it was cute. As he began up her porch steps she finally took notice of him.
"oh hey whats up?" she said as she got up to hug him, he backed away
"I just came to say good bye"
"where are you going" she started to look worried
"Umm...we're moving to Los Angeles tomorrow and I just wanted to see you one last time"
"No no you...you" she stopped and started to cry.
"I'll miss you" he grabbed her hand and with one last kiss he turned, left and never looked back.

I love your stories. They're really great.
I have only one critique, and it's that when you say stuff like "but little did he know those plans were going to be rejected." it gives too much away about what's going to happen.
but you're really talented and creative. |
