CHAPTER 4
The next morning Cody awoke on Amanda's futon with one of her Tinkerbell blankets wrapped around him and a fluffy pink pillow. He chuckled at the thought of one of his friends seeing him like that. Then Cody noticed that Amanda was gone and he checked the clock: 11:30. Cody reached for his pirized possession, though all he caught was the air. He looked towards Amanda's nightstand where he had left his necklace and it was gone. Cody had gotten that necklace three years ago from his dad. It had a sharks tooth on it, his dad got it when he was in the ocean and a shark was about to bite but he punched it and accidently knocked out a tooth (Cody thought the best of his dad), and what was holding it was one of those thin ropes.(i dont know what its called).Cody's eyes opened wide, all of the sleepiness gone. As he was rushing down stares he heard giggles coming from outside and snoring coming from Becky's room. He slowed down. 'Jeez we really should get john something to help with that snoring'. (Cody, with a slight snicker).
"Where is it?" Cody said with a smile on his face. Becky and Amanda were on the porch sitting in rocking chairs. Becky was trying to hold back a smile, as Amanda got up and walked down the porch steps. Cody eyeing her curiously. She started to walk backwards across the lawn.
"I dont know what your talking about" Becky said trying to distract Cody from Amanda who was almost to the back yard. (Cody -> 'If she hides that necklace I'll never find it').
"Hold on a sec. Becky" Cody said running to the backyard. For some reason Amanda still felt the need to walk backwards, maybe she was just enjoying herself. Cody turned turned the corner and landed right on top of Amanda their lips accidently touching, 'this might be my only chance' Cody thought while deepening the kiss. Amanda slowly but surely went along with it. They both stopped and got up, dusting themselves off, when they heard Becky coming, she had screamed when she heard a big thud, which was why John was standing there too in just his boxers and his light blue shirt from the night before, accompanied with bed head, seriously his hair was going in all directions possible.
"Are you guys alright?" Becky asked concerned. Cody saw Amanda holding his necklace behind her back still. He went to give her a hug and when she hugged back, he let go and took his necklace.
"Hey!" (Amanda)
"I'm fine now" He said a smile on his face, while he was putting his necklace on. Becky giggled.
"Well, now that Im up after I get dressed lets go out to eat for breakfast, you guys can choose." John said nodding to the three as he walked back to the front yard to get ready.
"I'll let you guys decide, I have to get ready too." Becky said while winking at Amanda knowing she was leaving her alone again with Cody, but this time Amanda WANTED to be alone with Cody and not with everyone else.
"So, where do you wanna go?" Cody asked while wrapping his arm around Amanda's waist. They started heading for the front yard. Amanda looked up at him and smiled.
"How about IHOP." She suggested.
"sounds good to me."
Cody and Amanda hopped in the car. (Amanda ->) 'I wonder what i should say to him. I really like him and I think he likes me, but I dont want to be "friends with benefits". Well i guess I'll just wait until he says something'.
