CHAPTER 3

Once we got to the beach everyone hopped out of the car. All the people there were jumping and dancing to the music, with some of the girls chasing guys for their sandals back. I looked towards the water and it was calm with a few couples here and there. Me and Cody walked over to a small campfire that a few people had started while Becky and John got a drink.

"Do you want a smore?" Cody asked.

"Sure" I said reaching for the bag of marshmellows.

As we were roasting the marshmellows mine caught on fire and when I blew it out it was pitch black, and there Cody is sitting next to me trying to hold back his laugh while i stuck my tongue out at it.

"Here, do you want mine?"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah" Cody said while putting chocolate and graham crackers inbetween the marshmellow. Then Cody got chocolate and graham crackers out for himself and i made a face.

"what?" he said

"Your actually going to eat that" i said while pointing at the marshmellow with black stuff chipping off of it.

"Yeah" He said while taking a big bite out of it.

After we were finished and were just sitting there for a bit talking about little things Cody asked me if he wanted to go back to my house to watch a movie. So we told Becky and John we were leaving, and we got a taxi. They were dancing and were about to go sit by the fire where we were but they didn't mind that we left.

"So, what movie do you wanna watch?" (Cody).

"Um, how about a scary movie." I suggested.

"K."

Half way during the movie Cody was holding a bowl of popcorn and that music came on. You know when someone or something is going to pop out at you, but you dont know when. Right then Becky and John burst through the door without warning and Cody's popcorn flew into the air landing all over on top of us and i hopped into Cody's lap with my arms around his neck, along with a scream. Becky and John started laughing hysterically.

"Sorry, if we interupted" Becky said through her laughs as her and John made there way upstairs. I hopped off Cody's lap, blushing a little.

"We didn't do anything, and what are YOU guys going to do up there?" I retorted. John put his arm around Becky's waist and she giggled.

"nothing" she said.

"mhmm".

"Hey, since John's my ride and i don't think he plans on going home tonight do you mind if i stay?" Cody asked.

"No, that's fine" i said "I have a futon in my room"

"great"

And then we finished watching the movie, but i think Cody got bored a few times because i saw him glancing over at me smiling.
