more than just lust 21 *part 2* FINALE!!

Lexi was speechless. Not even a thousands words could explain how she felt. But Josh’s soft smile made it easier. Tears starting streaming down her face as she ran to hug him.

She hugged him tight. Never wanting to let him go.

“I’m so sorry.” he said as he kissed her forehead. “I should have never let you off like that.”

Lexi didn’t say anything. She didn’t need to. She just cried into his warm chest and hoped everything would be alright.

Lexi came home with a big smile plastered on her face. Her mom looked at her suspiciously.

“Is everything alright?” she asked.

Lexi nodded her head, still smiling. “I saw Josh today.”

Her mom smiled. She was truly happy to see her daughter happy. And was glad that she had helped save their relationship. “Well, I hope it was something good.”

“Definitely!” she exclaimed. “I have a feeling that things are going to be good.”

Her little sister, Lauren ,also smiled. She was glad to know that her older sister was happy. It made her feel better. Although she was kind of in the middle of the situation when they were back at Hawaii.

“Hey mom,” Lauren said. “Can I spend the night at Teri’s tonight. She wanted me to come over to have a ‘Girls Night’” she air-quoted.

“Sure that sounds like a good idea, just don’t get yourself into any trouble!” Janese warned.

“Got it!” Lauren answered. Getting up off the kitchen table and running up the stairs. “I’ll be packing!”

Janese laughed and Lexi let out a small smile. “What about you?” she asked Lexi. “Got any plans tonight?”

“Nah, I’ll just stay here. Let the night pass me by.”

“Ok, well I work night shift this week so if you need anything, just call me at work. I’ll be in my office the whole night.”

“Okay, mom.”

Lexi sat on a small couch on her balcony. She cried silently washing the waves of the beach crash peacefully onto the shore. No, they weren’t tears of sorrow. But tears of joy.

She heard a faint knock on the glass door that led to the inside of her room. Her mom opened the door and stuck her head out, “Lexi, Josh is here. He wants to talk to you.” She smiled a small smile.

Lexi smiled back at her and said, “Send him up.”

Her mom left and Lexi sat there wondering what to say to Josh. Wondering what he would do. It past two minutes before he finally came up.

“Knock, knock!” he teased as he opened the door.

She smiled at him and patted the spot on the couch next to her, motioning for him to sit down. He did and breathed heavily.

“Wanted to talk.” he shrugged. “I didn’t mean to worry you that night when I called. I just didn’t know what to say so I panicked and hung up. Everything else, was just time I needed on my own. To think.”

“About?”

“Like what I am going to do now that I don’t have no parents. Where I’m going to live.”

“I can help, if you want. I’m sure my mom can do something.”

He smiled. “Thanks. But I don’t think there is much your mom can do.”

“Yea, you’re probably right.” she giggled. They sat in silence for a couple of moments. But it wasn’t an awkward silence or anything. It was a peaceful one. After a couple of moments Lexi took Josh’s hand and held it firmly in hers.

He looked at her calmly. A look of sincerity. Lexi rested her head on his shoulder and lifted his hand to her lips. She gently kissed each of his fingers and Josh knew exactly what she wanted from him.

“Your moms downstairs.” he whispered into her soft hair.

“She leaves to work in ten minutes.” she whispered back, seductively. “And Lauren in spending the night at her friends. We have the house to ourselves.”

Before Josh could say anything else, Janese yelled from downstairs, “I’m leaving for work kids! Josh, make it home safe!”

Josh smiled sarcastically. “I will!”

They listened as Janese exited the driveway and drove off to work. Josh then pulled Lexi into a deep passionate kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he did the same to her waist.

He stood her up and led her to her bed and trailed small kisses along her jaw line. Turning off the bright lamp that stood besides her bed.

It was a long night…

But just a mile away, on a bench that ran along a small river… Was Herman. Smiling at herself.

“I knew they would get back together.” she said to herself, smiling.
