Lexi rested her head against the wall as she sat on her bed and listened to the arguement between Josh and his father. Janese didnt want the younger kids to listen in on the fight so she took them for a night walk.

   "It's not my fault that you had to marry her mom and ruin our relationship!" she heard Josh yell.

   "And you think that its my fault that you two kept your relationship a secret. If you would have told us then this whole thing could have been avoided!"

   "I couldnt tell you!!"

   Lexi cried as she heard them yell. This vacation was a nightmare and she still had a whole week left of it. She started to regret ever writing that note. It just created a big mess.

  She took a deep breath and tried to relax all the muscles in her body. But it only made her more tense. She opened the suitcase that sat besides her and pulled out an envelope.

   She opened it and pulled out some pictures of her and Josh from when they were dating. They took so many pictures together, Lexi remembered how she was always broke from buying batteries for her camera. Flipping through the pictures, she smiled at the memories that she held before her.

   There was one of them swimming in the ocean, another at her best friends sweet sixteen, and another one of them riding a motorcycle. She tried to avoid all the yelling and argueing that was taking place next door but it was unevitable.

   Suddenly everything was quiet. She hugged her knees at the thought of her mom bashing through the door and giving her the biggest lecture of her life. But nothing happened. Everything just stayed quiet.

   Then she heard a small knock on her door. Lexi quickly put the pictures back in the envelope and shoved it into her suitcase.

   "C-Come in." she stuttered. The door opened and Josh walked in with a blank stare. His jaw bone was bruised and swollen. "Oh God, what happened?!"

  He sat down on the edge of her bed and looked down at the ground. "He hit me. Told me that I made the biggest mistake of my life although he didnt even listen to my story."

   "I cant even imagine what my mom's going to say to me."

   Josh looked up at her. "She wont be able to say much...My dad's getting a divorce."
