"What's wrong?" Josh asked. He noticed Lexi holding a note and his curiousity rose.
"Just sit down." Ben spoke as he pointed to the couch besides him. Once Josh and Lexi were seated, the parents took a deep breath and wondered how they were going to start this conversation.
"Lexi," Janese started. "Do you want to tell Josh what that note says or should we?"
Lexi looked up at her mom with disbelief and then back at the note, not knowing if she should read the note herself. She could feel Josh's eyeing her and the note.
"I'll do it." she said quietly. "It talks about the relationship that we used to have."
Josh was confused at first, but then he finally understood and his eyes widened with fear. He looked up only to see two anrgy adults glaring down at him.
"I just dont understand how you two could have done such a thing!" Janese yelled and her voice filled with rage.
"Mom, if you would just let me explain," Lexi began.
"Explain what Lexi! That you lied to me and did something so absurd! I thought I taught you better than that."
"Mom, you did. But there is so much more to this that you dont know. If you would just please let me explain!"
"Lexi, the note explains it all! Go to your room, I'll be there in a couple minutes."
A tear slid from Lexi's eye as she slowly exited the living room and went upstairs to her bedroom. This was going to be a REALLY long night....
