    "So, what does this mean?" Josh asked, looking deeply into Lexi's eyes.

   "I dont know." They sat in silence for the next couple of minutes, thinking of what to say that would make the other feel better.

   "Maybe we should tell our parents." Josh told her.

   "Tell them what? That we love eachother? Yea, my mom's gunna get a heart attack when she hears that."

   "Well it's not like we meant to bring this on them but it's the truth and they need to know." Josh grabbed Lexi's hand and held it in his.

   "I just dont want my mom to freak. For the first time in a long time, she's happy."

   He took a deep breath. "Okay, well I'll think of something but till then, I dont want you freaking out."

   She nodded. "I'll try." Then she let out a soft giggle and kissed Josh.

Lexi sat on her bed replaying the conversation that she just had with Josh over and over again. Just when a smile seemed to form on her face, she felt guilt. It wasnt right to be with Josh, especially now that he was her stepbrother. But what could Lexi do? She was too in love with him.

   "Um, Lexi?" Lexi looked up only to see her little sister, Lauren, in her doorway. "Can I talk to you?"

   "Yea, sure, whats up?!"

   Lauren slowly walked over to Lexi's bed. "It's kinda personal, but I'll just go right ahead and say it,... I know your secret."

   Lexi shrugged. "What secret?"

   Taking a deep breath, Lauren confessed, "About how you and Josh used to be dating before mom and Ben got married!"

   Lexi's eyes grew open. She could not believe the words that were coming out of her little sisters mouth. "How do you know about all of that?"

   "I overheard you and Josh talking when you guys went to go get your sunscreen lotion."

   "You were spying on us?!!"

   "Yes, but it was wrong! Please dont be mad!" she yelped.

   Lexi calmly walked to the door and closed it. "Okay, everything you heard is true, but you cant let anyone know about it. Not even Josh, he'll freak!"

   "I just dont know why you didnt tell mom, yea she would be mad but she'd have to deal with it sooner or later."

   "I was, but then she told me that she was engaged with Ben. I couldnt tell her after that, it would've just made things worse than what they were."

   "What about now? I mean, after that conversation you had with Josh?"

   "I dont know." Lexi shook her head. "I still love him, but I dont know what we are anymore..."
