The next few days was full of teasing Nick. Later on, Nick got used to it and started to laugh along. I knew this boy couldn’t stay mad for long. Me and Angela became closer, but not by much. If this was school, we would be the kind of friends that would say hi to each other in the hallways. Nothing more. We have our arguments, that are kind of huge. It seems like sometimes she would get mad at me for no reasons. She would ignore me and get a small attitude. Angela became instantly popular. Something I don’t get is that if Angela knows everybody at camp but why does she still chooses to hang out with Mark and the others. Not that they’re bad friends or anything but she’s always with them.

Today we went swimming. All the guys just jumped into the water. They made a huge splash and it drenched Angela. I couldn’t help but start snickering. Being the clumsy person I am, I accidentally slip and fell into the water. The water was insanely cold, but the guys act like it was nothing.

“Damn! Why is it so cold?” I complained shivering like an idiot. Everybody laughed at me and I just frown at them. I saw that Angela was sitting on the edge of the lake, trying to dry herself.

“Suck it up.” Nick said splashing water in my face, making me scream in surprise. I try getting the water out of my eyes. I jump a little when I felt somebody wrap their arms around me.

“Are you cold now?” Jerry whispered in my ear. I could sense him smiling. I really didn’t have to see it.

“Uh…” I shuddered. what is he doing?! I saw everybody’s expression of their face. Mark’s furious face. Angela’s jealousy. David and Nick’s are-you-for-real?-not-this-again expression. And Seth just looked at us with amusement. My face turn into a dark shade of red for awhile.

“Not again! You guys always flirt when you go swimming or something?” David said. My face turned so much redder. I looked up and saw Jerry frowning. what’s up with Jerry today? I try  gettin out of his grip as nicely as possible. I didn’t dare look at his face, for the guilt that follows.

“Jerry just got rejected!” I heard Nick blurt out, and I atomically felt bad. David and Nick started to laugh. Their laughter faded away as soon as they realize that nobody else thought it was funny. There was a huge moment of silence that made me feel so awkward. I cross my arms across my chest. I could feel the temperature increasing by the second.

“Say something damn it!” Nick screamed out breaking the silence. All eyes went from me to Nick. I laughed a little. I made my way over to Mark hoping he wasn’t mad. I smile weakly at him and it took a while but he like half-smile back. I look back and saw Jerry now accompany by Angela. No duh, she would jump at her chance to go flirt with Jerry. And Seth and David were trying to drown Nick.

“You’re not mad at me… are you?” I asked trying to sound as innocent as possible.

“Of course not.” he fully smile this time giving me a quick kiss on the cheek. I gave him a tight hug. I see a bit of happiness in his eyes. I love hugging him. I can feel his strong abs, flawless smooth skin. His strong arms wrap around me making me feel like everything is suppose to be where it is right now. And I can hear his heartbeat, a sound I would never get tired of hearing.

“I love you.” I softly whispered.

“This macaroni and cheese crap looks like all cheese.” stated Nick as he use his fork to examine his food. He had his tongue stuck out, like he was trying to think hard about something. I smiled at his childish ways.

“Don’t eat it than.” I suggested.

“well… what if I want to?” he replied. I giggled a little. I looked around the room, but couldn’t find sight of the others. It was just me, Mark, and Nick.

“I’m going to try to find everybody else.” I said getting out of my seat. Mark smiled at me and nodded. I smile back and gave him a kiss on his right cheek. I can tell that they weren’t in here because I had a pretty good view of everybody from where I was sitting. So, I’ll try looking outside. The second I open the door, I saw Jerry. His back was against a tree. His hands in his pockets. His face facing down. He looked really emo.

“Jerry!” I shouted his name. He immediately saw me and smile. I walk over to where he was.

“What are you doing out here?” Jerry asked.

“Looking for everybody.” I simply answered.

“Oh, well. Can I ask you something?” Jerry’s tone got tense and nervous.

“Um sure, what is it? You know you can tell me anything.” I smiled giving him a hug. I just hope there wasn’t death involve in it.

“Not here, follow me.” his eyes avoided mines. He took my hand and started to walk into the forest.

“Where are we going ?” I asked looking behind me every 5 seconds. I just hope we don’t get lost. The further we go the darker it seems to get.

“Okay, we can stop now.” Jerry said letting go of my hand.

“Now can you ask me what you wanted to ask me?” I sat on the ground since my feet were getting sore.

“Um, never mind.” Jerry try avoid looking me in the eyes.

“No! Tell me now.” I said trying to get up. I got a good grip on his wrist so he wouldn’t be able to get away.

“Okay, but please don’t hate me.” he said finally looking at me.

why would I hate him?
