 This is the intro. Hope you enjoy. Killing Noah is my new start of a book, it will be a series of at least two novels. There’s a certain point in a relationship where kisses and hugs just don’t cut it anymore. Julia had reached that point in hers. Now when she looked into Noah’s eyes, she didn’t see the sparkle that had caught her eyes months before. She didn’t see the mix of colors that made his eyes different than everyone else’s. In fact most times Julia didn’t even look into Noah’s eyes anymore. She didn’t touch his hands and feel the warmth and the softness that she used to love.


But it was then, standing on her front porch in the middle of the night, in the dead of winter, and thinking these thoughts that she realized what she was supposed to do. She was supposed to kill Noah.


Suddenly she heard a noise behind her and someone touched her bare shoulder. She jumped quickly and turned to see the face of her best friend Alice staring back at her.


“Jeez, what are you doing?” Julia shouted and jumped back, almost falling backwards down the stairs.


“Hey, settle down Julez. I’m supposed to be here to hang out remember?” She smiled and Julia smiled back.


“Oh like you need to be entertained.” She said back, a sarcastic edge to her tone. Alice rolled her eyes and threw herself onto the couch in the living room.


“What’s up with you tonight?” She asked as she put her feet up on the top cushion and her head on the armrest.


“What do you mean?” Julia asked in a confused expression that she was working hard to fake. Alice rolled her eyes again and crossed her arms across her chest. Julia sat on the recliner across the room.


“You know what I mean. You wouldn’t have been standing alone in the freezing cold if there wasn’t something wrong.

Is it Noah again?”
“You know it is. It always is.” Julia responded dully. Alice propped herself up on her elbows and looked Julia square in the eyes.


“What did he do this time?” She asked.


“It started out that I just didn’t like him as much anymore. And then I started thinking that he wasn’t special anymore. I stopped loving him. I stopped trying to look at him. And then I left him and when I left him he started to do stupid things.” Julia stopped. She didn’t want to go on, not right now.


“Harley’s mom,” Alice paused momentarily, “was his fault wasn’t it? He killed her?” She sat up quickly and stared at Julia whose eyes were filled with tears already. She nodded.


“He told me it was my fault that she died.” She looked at Alice. “He said if it weren’t for me she’d still be alive.” Julia buried her face in her hands and began sobbing so loudly she thought her parents would hear her and come downstairs.


“You need to tell the police. If you won’t I will!” Alice shot the words at her like bullets and made Julia sob even harder.


“You can’t! What if he comes after me? What if he hurts me? Or even you?” She cried out and lifted her face momentarily to look at Alice’s expression which was more confused than anything.


“We have to though, what if he hurts more people? Didn’t you see Harley at school yesterday? He was so depressed. He hasn’t talked since you know.” She stared down at the ground. “It’s been nearly two months and he hasn’t said a word, not even to his dad.

”
“He hasn’t?” Julia asked, more to herself than to Alice. She sighed and wiped her eyes. “But I know that if I turn him in he will try to come after me. He told me not to tell the police.

”
“We can’t just sit here and do nothing Julia! Don’t you get it? He’s a murderer! He’s psycho!” She shouted and then Julia’s parents did wake up. There was a loud stomp upstairs and Julia and Alice quickly looked up at the ceiling and then back at each other with a worried expression. Even though they were both seventeen they still had to obey their parents’ orders for another year.


“Don’t tell anyone! You got it? We can’t! I’ll figure out something.” Julia whispered to her loudly before she heard her dad stomping down the stairs. She knew in her head that she already had the solution but planning it out would be the hard part. Especially without letting Alice notice that she was up to anything suspicious.


“Fine!” She whispered back and stood up just as Julia’s dad, Michael, entered the room.


“What is your girls’ problem? It’s one in the morning and you guys are screaming!” He shouted and pointed to the ceiling, “Your mother has a test in psychology tomorrow and she needs her sleep. If you guys don’t quiet down Alice is going to have to leave!” He turned around as they both silently apologized and stomped back up the stairs and to his room.


“You better have something figured out Julia. We can’t let him keep doing that.” Alice said to her angrily. She turned her back and walked into Julia’s room leaving her to stand alone in the middle of the living room.


“I have to do it soon. I can’t let him keep doing this, she is right. But is killing him doing the same as he is doing to other people?” She thought to herself, the question rang in her mind repeatedly as she finally started to walk back to her room.


Alice was sitting on her bed, staring at the wall in front of her. Julia came and sat next to her quietly. Neither of them could talk, all they could do was stare into the emptiness.


“I guess we should get some sleep.” Alice said after over twenty minutes of silence. Julia nodded and they both lay down and tried to go to sleep, even though Julia couldn’t sleep, her mind was reeling with plans on how to kill Noah.
