             I kept backing up as he talked to me in a low threatening voice. Before I knew it, he had me backed against the kitchen counter. He put his hands on my hips, making my body shiver.
             "I'm Leam's family Miranda. If you tell him, he won't believe you anyways," Mike went on. "So it would be easier for both of us if you just let this happen." He slipped his hand under my sweat pants, and pressed his body even closer to mine. I looked beside me, at the pan filled with left over macaroni sitting on the counter. I grabbed it quickly and swung it as hard as I could, until I heard a loud crack as it connected with Mike's face.
             He cried out in pain and I ran into the other room, searching wildly for the phone. I dialed Leam's work, calling again and again until I heard his voice, sounding slightly annoyed on the other line. "Leam I need you to come home now," I cried into the phone.
             "What's wrong Randy?" he asked. Then the phone went dead. I looked over as Mike held the phone cord in his hand; he had disconnected it. He held a dishrag to the side of his face, and I could already see a faint shade of red as the blood soaked through.
             I turned to run out the door, but he caught my arm, and spun me around to face him. "You're not going anywhere. I didn't want things to be like this," he hissed in my ear as he forced me to the ground.
             I slapped him in the face, causing him more amusement than actual pain. "You're just begging to be tied up again, aren't you girl?" he asked as he threw the rag aside and pinned my hands to the ground.
             I tried desperately to see the clock, hoping Leam would hurry home. Tears fell from my eyes as Mike began sucking on my neck, and I tried to conceal them; not wanting to show him how weak I was.
             "If you just set still, I'll try to be gentle this time," he said laughing a little to himself. I could feel bruises forming on my small wrists as I struggled hard to free them from his grasp. He released one, to smack me in the mouth. He hit me so hard, I thought for a second I would black out, but as I felt him tugging at the top of my pants, I knew I had to keep myself conscious.
             I looked up at the clock. Leam would be here any second, if I was lucky. I needed to stall him. "Please don't do this Mike," I begged. "Just give me ten minutes to get ready, I'll have sex with you I swear. Without all this trouble."
             He thought about it for a second, and I thought he was going to let me up. "The battle is half the fun," he replied, as he pulled my shirt roughly over my head. "But I can make it so much better, if you will just let me up," I said, trying to convince myself that he might buy it.
             Both of our heads turned toward the front door, as we heard footsteps hurrying up the path. "Shit!" Mike said, hopping up.  "Get up!"  I scooted away, trying to get my shirt on, as Leam burst through the door. He had a very confused look on his face as he looked from me, to Mike, then back to me.
             "What's going on?" he asked as he set his keys on the counter.
             Mike rushed over to him. "I don't know man. As soon as I got here she jumped me, telling me she wanted me. When I said no she got mad, and cracked me in the skull with a pan. She was trying to attack me so I couldn't tell you, so I had to pin her to the ground, hoping she'd cool off a little," Mike lied.
             Tears poured from my eyes as Leam looked at me with a hurt look on his face. "Randy, that isn't true?" he asked. I shook my head no, and buried my face in my hands, more shook up than I thought I'd be.
             Leam kneeled beside me on the floor. "What happened baby?" he asked softly.
            "That's the guy that raped me Leam. That night we met at Mark's party," I sobbed. "He was going to do it again. He said I might as well do it, because you'd never believe me over him."
             Leam looked at Mike, his face reddening with anger. "You're gonna believe some whore over your own cousin?" Mike asked, looking falsely offended.
             "Get out of here Mike. I better never see you around her again, do you hear me?" Leam said, in a tone I had never heard him use before.
             "You can't be serious?" Mike said stepping forward.
             "I swear to you Mike, if either of us ever see you again, I will hunt you down, and kill you," Leam said. Mike looked like he wanted to argue some more, but decided to just count his losses and get out of there.
