            “Matt, I can’t go with you,” I said boldly. “Yes you can Myra. You can. Things will get better you’ll see,” he said stepping toward me. I saw Luke get tense, and he stepped forward as Matt did. “Please Myra. I love you,” Matt begged. I shook my head slowly. “I think you better leave Matt,” Luke said quietly, but firm. Matt spun around to face Luke, his eyes blazing with anger and betrayal.
             "This was your plan all along, wasn't it Luke?" Matt accused. Luke looked down, with a shamed expression on his face. "You wanted her from the beginning," he continued, stepping toward Luke. He lowered his voice. "You think she'll still want you when she finds out what you did?" Luke's eyes filled with tears.
            "Sooner or later someone's going to tell her," Matt said as he looked back at me one last time. "You're making a mistake Myra." And with that he walked out, leaving me with a confused look across my face and Luke with a tear running down his cheek.
             I walked over to Luke and wiped away his tear. "What did he mean Luke?" I asked. Luke looked away, avoiding eye contact with me. "I'm sorry Myra, I don't think I can tell you yet."
             "Don't worry about it," I said, wrapping my arms around him. "Everything is going to be alright." He hugged me back, and I could feel his body tremble a little as he said, "He's right. I've liked you for a very long time." I looked up at him and smiled, causing him to force a smile back. "I'm sorry it took so long to tell you, I just couldn't do that to my best friend."
             I just stood there in his arms, not really knowing what to say, but wishing I could think of something as the silence began to build.
             "Hey, do you wanna watch a movie?" he asked me. I shook my head, thankful we were talking again. I followed to his bedroom as he went through his shelf, looking for something to watch.
             How wierd... I thought as I watched him. I never thought I'd end up with Luke, even thought we were not technically together.
