The rest of the day was finally over; everyone went home after the funeral except for Ryan, Emma, and My Chemical Romance. They were standing right near the van, as they said goodbyes to each other. The rain was still pouring as hard as they still cried over the ground from the dark grayish-blue sky with million clouds to block the sunny once. The winds still roared and wrapped around everything and everybody. They whispered with an angry tone. Nobody knew why and how Jonathan killed himself in a jail. Not even Emma does, either does Ryan.
My Chemical Romance (MCR) finally left the grave land in their tour bus. Leaving Emma and Ryan near the van, they stood and watched them disappearing to hit on the road where they belonged to.
Emma stood in the rain with her empty, emotionless face in a silence, as she walked to the tree. She leaned against the hard, rough bark. She watched the rain to continue crying and smiled. A smile on a sad day was something special that she supposed not to. It was not because of MCR. Her smile continued to grow far and wide on her beautiful face and felt like her father, Jonathan, still stood right beside her. She knew it. He was still inside her heart that couldn’t be never leaving.
Ryan was watching at her and wondering how to tell her the whole truth. She never knew the truth since he fell in love with her. He wished, he wished to tell her, but he was, even now, waiting for the right moment after every pain would be gone farther away from Emma. He only wished a happiness for her. Just joyfulness.
Emma was still keeping an eye on the warm raining cats and dogs with deep thoughts of her memories with her dad. She loved the moment when he made her laugh, smile, and live with a beautiful love. She was finally done to have her moment, as she went back to the van. She smiled at Ryan about how cute he worried and took care of her.
Ryan looked at the right mirror in the van, as he watched at Emma to walk toward the van. He smiled when she smiled once again. He was still sitting on the driver’s seat patiently and waited for Emma to get on seat in the van.
Emma’s mother, Chelsea, left Ryan to drive responsibly because she knew she couldn’t drive herself when she was incredibly upset after a funeral. She decided to go with her best friends and brought Greg to be with her also. She just realized that Emma needed to be alone.
Emma got in the van with Ryan in the front seats. She looked away from him to watch the funeral as it went to fade to white. She finally fell asleep with no tears left on her look. Ryan kept going on to drive until they arrived in her driveway in a long silence without a music on the radio.
“Wake up, Emma.” Ryan was shaking her very gently on her shoulder, as he leaned her to kiss her warm, bright pink cheek. “I wish you knew only if I were not afraid to say.” He breathed through his soft words in low voice. Emma was opening her bewildered, chocolate eyes little by little, as she heard every word he whispered in a van. She straightened her back and sat back on the seat with her bemused, beautiful face. She looked over her shoulder to gaze at Ryan and asked, “What did you say?” She pulled her hand toward his lap to reach his hand. Ryan shook his head, whispering, “I can’t. This is not right moment for me to tell you the truth. Not this time.” As he still held her hand until he looked away to fix his eyes on outside through the window. Emma grabbed his chin to look at her so kindly, as she looked at him with her puppy eyes--one of her favorite tricks--to make him say anything out of his mouth. It didn’t work at this time, she thoughts.
Ryan stubbornly refused to tell her the truth about loving her as more than just friends but he didn’t know what to do. For few minutes, he kept thinking but he gave up. “Fine, I will tell you the entire truth. It is never a joke. This…time…” As he looked down at his hand with her hand. He loved her.
Emma wondered heavily as much as she could. She wanted to know the truth but she felt something different this time. It was never same feelings around Ryan before. It was something… special. She chuckled nervously and begged him to tell her.
Ryan nodded. “I love you since I’ve fallen in love. One and only you.”
Emma gasped softly as she rushed out of the van to enter the house with her tears out of her eyes.
Ryan whispered, “I knew it.”
