Elizabeth quietly sat down and tried to listen the truth of Ethan, telling her everything. She didn’t understand why their parents have done to everything they ruined.
The voice of Ethan repeatedly reviewed the past in Elizabeth’s head, "It is so true. I am not lying anymore, because this time I found you in here. Well, your parents thought you were in car accident with a boy. Cops arrived in front of our door, and explained well about you and that boy. Maybe I guess they were wrong. Just go and see Mom and Dad. They will feel a happiness once again. Just be brave, sis, and go on." As Elizabeth felt like he really inspired her to be braver than before. She was going upstairs but she still stood there near the stairs, taking breaths.
Elizabeth was ready as well as she was going to face her parents because she was sick and tired of a simple rule and another lie that flew around in this crap house. She shook her head, and felt the great pain inside her heart. It was squeezing it tight, making the tears form in her eyes. Slowly, she sauntered upstairs and stood near the door. She was prepared to open the door little by little, and entered the kitchen. Empty kitchen. There were no dirty plates, spreading over the sinks, it usually were before since Elizabeth had gone. Letting the tears fall down her cheeks, she whispered, "It is unreal. Why me? Why them?" As she collapsed the knees on the floors.
Someone tapped her shoulder behind her. She slowly turned her head at the back, and she rapidly stood up, staring in her mother’s cheerless blue eyes. "Why did you believe that I was dead? Huh, I can’t believe you guys!! You didn’t hope at all for me to be alive! Well! Wow, it is so… sad." Elizabeth spoke loudly in so far as everyone could hear each of her anger words. "Why did you think I was dead?! Why? Huh?! If you don’t know the answer, why should I bother to be here?" She unhurriedly left out of the door, but her mother, Rebecca, grasped Elizabeth’s arm. She stopped and stood, refusing to turn around to face her mother. "Well, I was surprised to see you here. I was heck worrying about you because you were mad at us for not giving you enough freedom!" She cried but choked in the tears. "Mom, if you give me more freedom, why were you not polite to see my bo--friend, Tyler? I am seventeen years old now. I know what to do. Look at me? I had no friends until now. You don’t need to be pitiful for me. I am fine only if we could go along without that stupid, simple rule. I am fine! Jeremy was jerk but he was only the one whose hurt me. One time. One guy. It was fair enough. That’s it. Simple." Elizabeth spoke everything out of her heart, as she shook her mother’s hand off her shoulder, leaving out of the door.
She walked down the short stairs, and prepared to sit down on the front porch, letting one of the tears fall down. "It doesn’t matter to me anymore. I am tired of staying here any longer." She whispered, as somebody stood behind her, gasping in an air. Someone patted her shoulder again, and Elizabeth said wretchedly, "Just leave me alone, Mom."
"No, I am not going to leave you alone until we solve something." The deep voice spoke that makes Elizabeth realized who it was.
