CHAPTER THREE: A Hours of Darkness

Jason grabbed my arm quickly toward his face, scaring for what would happen the next. I wanted a kiss from him, but at the same time, I didn’t wish for it. “Let me go, you! I asked you once and you didn’t answer me!” I hissed, suggesting to pull his soft, strong hand off my arm. He grabbed my waist, and whispered my right ear, “I heard everything. Oh yes, you are right. You are right about everything. I still…” He said, but then he cut his own words, hurting my heart into two pieces. “Yeah what? You still? What? I know you still have a girlfriend, so let me go.” I hissed irately, seeing his sad eyes with fill of the tears. “Just leave me alone, so you can have your own girlfriend.” I choked myself into a tears, but I stubbornly refused to let the tears in front of Jason I loved.

He finally let me go and I walked toward to get a popcorns. Putting it in a microwave, I stood to watch a popcorn popped noisily. I heard Jason pull the chair and allow himself to sit on the chair. I could feel that he was watching me.

When the popcorns were done, I got them out of the microwave. I could see that Jason left to a living room. I brought the popcorns with my false, big smile more on my face. I gave each popcorn bags to each of them, but I shared a popcorn bag with Jason. Not so great. Ash sat with Kath on the same couch, but I had to sit with Jason on the floor. Even though I chose to sit a little far away from him enough, but suddenly I forgot that we actually shared popcorns. Ugh, I moved myself closer to Jason. Ash played the movie with her remotes. We watched a horror movie. I loved a terror movie, but sometimes I needed someone to hold me that I wouldn’t able to be afraid anymore.

We watched a creepy movie all night until someone made a big noise outside. It was raining outside heavily, so Ash decided to let Kath and Jason to stay over her house for a night. Dripping on the roof, it wasn’t comfortable for me at all. I hate thunderstorm outside. It made me scared more than ever. I still watched the movie together with my girls and Jason. I wasn’t sure at all about calling him a crush, or just a friend. Until someone opened the door in the darkness, I heard a creepy footsteps on the stairs. I could feel that he was coming toward us. Ah, it was just a movie, hopefully. I still heard the stillness. Someone shouted, “BOO!” I jumped on Jason, holding around his neck with my loud scream. Ash, Kath, and Aaron laughed out loud, giving Aaron a high five. Ash said, “Now you got it. You don’t need to own me anything because you freaked me out this morning!” Aaron still laughed on the floor and rolled with his hands on his tummy.

I looked at Ash with my nasty expression, with a smile, and then I finally let myself laughing. I realized I still sat on Jason’s laps. I felt him to wrap his arms around my waist. “I am sorry, Jason. I didn’t mean to.” I said quietly, as I tried to move off his laps. He rejected to let me go. I questioned confusedly, “Why are you not letting me go?” As my heart beat immediately that made me to feel a jumpy. “Because I want you to let me say something.”
