Lasting Love (Chapter Eighteen)

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN: UNEXPECTED NEWS

Elizabeth thanked Tyler and his parents for everything but she told him that she needed to go home alone to face her family because she couldn’t let their family to protect her excessively. By the way, she sneaked out to Tyler’s backyard slowly, but then she ran to the backdoor. Of course, Tyler was still watching what Elizabeth do outside, and thought, she is always beautiful. Wait…why is she coming back? Tyler opened the backdoor and allowed Elizabeth wrap her arms around his neck, pressing her lips against his for few seconds. She almost backed off and got off the deck to the backyard, but Tyler grabbed her and kissed her more. “Hey, I gotta go, Tyler.” She breathed through a kiss, backing off to go home. She waved at Tyler and said, “I love you!” Tyler was surprised for the first time from a girl whose loved him.

Elizabeth walked home to her backyard from walking across Tyler’s backyard. She sneaked the basement, so her parents thought she was not sneaking out at all. She walked into the basement, seeing her brother, Ethan. He snored noisily as much as necessary on the couch with his eyes closed to the dead world, dreaming of something strange. Like a bad dream, he shouted Elizabeth’s name but their parents couldn’t hear him shouting! Elizabeth stopped from walking upstairs to the first floor, walked toward Ethan, and arouse him with her hands on Ethan’s strong chest, shaking him. He didn’t wake up at all.

“Ethan, wake up!” Elizabeth tried to wake him up, but then she decided to go to the bathroom right near the guest’s room. She looked for the glass to fill the water in it, and walked on the way to him with her smile over her face. This perfect plan I’ve always wanted. Elizabeth thoughts, with a childish smile, pouring a cold water on Ethan. He jumped out of the couch, and cursed himself, “Oh my god, why?!? YOU ARE HERE, LIZ!!” As he ran to Elizabeth and tackled her down on the floor, hugging her snugly. Elizabeth hushed him, “Mom and Dad can’t know that I sneaked out, okay?” As she hugged him back, but then she backed off Ethan, pushing him off to the floor. He expressed happy into gloomy, saying, “Bad news is that Dad is depressed because of you. He thoughts…you are dead.” Elizabeth puzzled herself, weighting her thoughts down, What the heck is Dad thinking just like that!?! Oh my god! It turned out that she thought out loud, and Ethan heard every of her anger words. “Do you know?! I am going upstairs! I hate it for God’s sake!” As she walked upstairs, angering herself until she peeked the door open, and saw her mom crying lots of tears into the flood. Her mom collapsed her knees on the floor, and screamed herself, “WHY!? WHY?!”

Elizabeth walked downstairs back in the basement, letting her tears slip away from her eyes. “Why are they thinking I am dead? It’s been 1 day and half I’ve been missing.” She muttered as she walked to the couch, sitting on it. She pulled her legs closer to her breasts and chest, and hugged them, placing her face on the knees. She cried, but Ethan comforted her. Ethan said, “I will explain everything when you are done crying. Don’t cry, my baby sister.”
