Chapter Two: A Bad Joke
Ten years later, Jake and I walked toward the beach. I was wearing deep, dark wine bikini with my black flip flop. The hot sun sparkled on my long, wavy black hair. I didn’t mean to sound like I was Goth or Emo which I was not. Anyways, the sands continued pressing against my feet while I was walking to head for the ocean, and I was ready to swim in it. Jake was sitting on the sand, watching me on the way to the deep. He was wearing light blue short with his brown flip flop, shoving the sands over his toes. I chuckled with a grin on my face, watching Jake sit all alone. I, without warning, shouted, "Come on, Jake!! Stop sitting there isolated!" As I was waving my hands in an air, still bawling, and finally, I had an idea to trick him. I decided to swim backward on my back on my back, and started to float on the water. I started to pretend that I was drowning in the ocean. I swam farther and farther until I begun to act sinking under the water. Gasping, I started to scream for a help, "Jake, Jake! Help me! Help me!" I was chuckling.
I knew I was bad, even though I loved joking around my dear best friend, Jake.
I started to sink under the water, and held my breathe in a minute. I stopped moving my body, and let it go floating on the water. I heard Jake swim toward me, and I smiled inside my self. I couldn't believe how much I was selfish but I loved every time he was my hero. Jake grasped my wrist toward him, and I felt against his strong body. His words hollered at me, "Lynn! Lynn! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!" I was still closing my eyes, and I started to smile. I sluggishly opened my eyes, and then I began to startle him. "Boo-o-o-o!" He shoved me off gently, and said in anger, "Jeez, you scared me to the death! God, don't ever do that again! Please!" As he sighed, and hugged me around my waist tight against his chest toward my breasts. I putted myself around his neck, and whispered to his right ear, "I am sorry but I had to make you come here, so you won't able to be alone on the sand." Oh my god, how stupid I was! I shouldn't ever do that again to him! I scared him to the death! Not again! Never again! Even though I thought I liked to see that someone cherished me. We had been best friends for ten years.
Jake cut off our long, sweet hug, and said, "Let's go back home. I have long day. But come with me in my room. I have to show you something." My thought whispered heavily in my mind, Is something wrong with him? I don't really get it, but okay, I will find out then! We swam back to the sands, and I picked up the towel.
I continued to wonder why he wanted to show me something. What was it? Why did he want to? I mean he told me every of his secrets. Hmm, I didn't understand.
