New Year's Eve

There is tons of people here at Freeze and Frizz. Basically, it was the whole eight hundred residents who lived here in Waverly, but it was still a lot. My entire family was here. My dad's side of the family is huge. He has 3 sisters and 4 brothers, so I have like 20 different cousins just on his side of the family. It's crazy, but it's nice.

"Kay!" a voice shouted to me from across the room. I jerked my head and smiled at Travis and Jesse making there way over to me.

"Hey, I thought you were never going to show." I laughed.

"Well, since I still don't have a car, we had to wait on our mother." Jesse stated.

"And you know how long she takes," Travis snickered.

That's right. I never mentioned what had happened to Jesse's car after Tanner ran off with it. Well about a week after we had come back from Vegas, we found his car totalled ten miles from town, but no one was in it. I don't know if Tanner just ran off and let the car go until it ran into something, or he died and his body is no where. I feel kind of bad, but I'm still a bit worried and freaked out.

The night rolls by and it's only a few minutes until midnight. Every time at midnight, people always get a New Year's kiss, right? I am the one that normally doesn't. It's bumming, but this year had changed.

"One minute 'til the New year everyone." Joliet announced through the microphone up on stage.

Some people had already started counting, but I didn't. I just sat down at the bar stool drinking a cherry coke. Jesse and Travis were no where to be seen, not even my parents.

Suddenly, someone come ups from behind me and gives me a peck on the cheek, but by the time I realized what had happened, they were already gone, which was very strange.

"10... 9... 8..." they abruptly another man, but had his hood up and I couldn't see his face, spins me around and kisses me on the lips and runs off.

I was getting really pissed off because I didn't know if someone was playing a game on me or what.

"5... 4... 3... 2... 1... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!"

Everyone screamed and shouted over each other as they threw their hats and streamers fell from the ceiling. Then he come up from behind me and gives me one of the most romantic kisses I had ever gotten from a man. And the weird thing of it all, I had no idea who he was. I'm sure he was in his mid-twenties too. A couple years older than me. I was too stunned to say anything or to ask him who he was, why he kissed me, or even slap him on the face. I was so mesmerized by his charming figure and the passionate kiss.
