Chapter 30
I stare up at her with a puzzled look. For some reason, she resembles someone that I know, though I can't think of it.
"Do I know you?" I ask, sitting up on the bench I was lying on. She looks at me and smiles.
"I'll tell you who I am, but you have to keep it a secret, ok Rose?" she replied, with sincere in her voice.
I am not really sure if I should trust her or not, but she seems trustworthy to me, yet I'm not really sure about that yet.
"Promise," I say clearly, gazing at her a bit suspicious.
"Now, I know you aren't going to believe this, but everything I'm going to tell you is the dead, honest truth. I swear is my life depended on it." she promises. Now I'm sure that she's going to be telling the truth. Not many people say that and end up not saying what they really mean. "I am your mother, Karrie Evan. Yes! I know what you are going to say before you waste your breath. I didn't die the night you were born. I was unconscious for the longest time, and somehow ended up in an industry; a private industry. So really I faked my death. Everyone believes I am dead, and it has to stay that way, ok?"
Ok, was this lady trying to pull my leg or what? I know my real mom is dead. I'm not stupid. It wouldn't make any sense to believe that this woman is my mother. I'm not really a hundred percent sure if she died, but the way every sounded, I know the she was most likely lying to me.
"Is this some kind of sick joke?" I retorted angrily. "You can't pretend to be someone just to make me happier. Now really, who are you and what do you want?"
I am seriously getting furious right now.
"Rose, I am your mother, honest to God. I wouldn't lie to you." she starts, then reaches into her coat pocket and pulls out a necklace that look identical to the one Ryan and Brittany gave me when I was younger and then hands it to me. It still didn't click. I'm still not sure if it's her yet.
"Do you have any proof that you are Ryan's sister?" I question, giving her the necklace back.
She pulls out an accordion thing full of pictures and hands the whole thing to me. What I think is weird is that a lot of these pictures is what I've seen at home.
"Oh my god!" I cry. "Mom? " I can feel tears sting my eyes.
I fall into her arms and rest my head on her shoulder as she put her arms around. No doubt in my mind she wasn't lying. She actually reminded me of Ryan.
"So it's really you?" I ask again.
"Yes, it's really me, but you have to promise me not to tell a soul about me. Not even that I'm in a secret industry ok?" she states.
"What exactly is this industry?" I wonder, pulling away from her comfort.
"Rose?" a voice says behind me.
Oh, no. Please don't say it's who I think it is. I could tell that Karrie, or should I say my mom, was as startled as I was. I slowly turn my head over my shoulders. I gasp... Jason.

{Sorry for the wait and the fact it's short. I had this part in my mind for a while now and wanted to post it. Yes, it is Karrie. She is alive, not back from the dead, but she is alive, so you don't have to think it is someone else. Also, if you haven't already, check out my friend rosiegirl24 story called Keep Holding On. She would appreciate it lots. Anyway, RRCS, Thank you!.}
