Chapter 28

"Kyle, what is that you want to say about Jason?" I ask, calmly, but beginning to lose my cool. "I need to get going."

Kyle let out a sigh. "Jason's seeing someone else. He cares about you, but he wants you to accept that he's dating someone else."

"What? Jason? Jason wouldn't just go date someone out of the blue without telling me. And how am I suppose to believe you? You've been rude to me every since I started dating Jason. You are just another jackass!" I state, trying to keep my voice down so none of the teachers won't hear me swearing.

"Rose, I'm sorry about all that. I just never thought you'd make a good girlfriend for Jason and that's the honest truth. But if you don't believe me, then so be it." Kyle retorts, walking away from where we were standing, which was in front of my locker.

What a jerk? How could he be so ignorant and pretend that Jason is dating someone else, just for me to get jealous. He didn't even give me proof, or this other person's name. How could I possibly believe him? I don't want to sound like Kendra has a bad boyfriend, but he's just rude to me. Really I don't care what he thinks. He's nothing but an ass.

I head over to my World Cultures class, who was Miss Eveline. Like I said before, she teaches the most boring class. What the big things was about going to that class is that Jason sits beside me in that class. Oh God, I'll feel so... so miserable without him talking to me as he just sits there.

It takes me forever to get to class. It's on the other side of the school. Luckily, we have five minutes to get to our next class. Just as I step foot in to Miss. Eveline's class, the late bell rang. Thank God I wasn't late. Miss. Eveline glared at me with her beady old eyes. This time, she actually half scared me. Any other time I wouldn't be, but somehow, she scared at hebby jebbies out of me.

As she starts to lecture us this weeks culture, I begin to realize that no one was sitting beside me. I mean there were people sitting next to me, but no Jason. I turn around and look around the classroom. Jason wasn't in the room. He was just in my English 11 class. Where could he be?

"Rose? Is there a problem?" Miss. Eveline asks.

"No, ma'am." I reply.

"Then can you please turn around and face the front of the room." she insists, as I did so. "Thank you." she hisses.

I begin to grow worried about Jason. I just saw him. Where else could he be?
