Chapter 27

Two Months Later:

It's been two months since the accident and the last time Jason even acknowledged me. He's been such an ass ever since. He's become on of those jock-ass rednecks like the rest of the guys in the school. I just never would have thought he'd ignore me like, like I was invisible.

I've recovered a lot since my accident. Occasionally, I'd get sharp pain in my ribs, but it really wasn't anything.

Right now, I'm sitting in my English 11 class, which I had with Jason. I'm jotting down notes that my teacher, Miss. Barnes had up on the front board; I'm sitting in the second to last row with Kendra and that's when he came in. Jason's talking to Kyle and couple of his other friends that I don't care to talk about.

Jason glances right at me, with a discomfort look on his face. I slightly smile, but Jason just shook his head and sat down in the front row, which was very unusual for Jason. I sigh with a groan and hit my head on the desk. It was a good thing that everyone was chatting to there friends and class didn't start, because everybody would have been staring at me like some idiot.

"Rose, can I ask what happened between you and Jason? I mean you two were the talk of the school. You were even named the cutest couple a few months ago." Kendra questions, shaking my arm.

"Well, you can ask, but that doesn't mean I'm going to give you a straight answer." I muffle into desk and somehow she understood me cause all that it sounded like was mumble jumble words put together.

"Girl, you don't have to tell it's fine. I just wish you two would still be together. You two were just amazing. You two were like a gift from God or something. I don't know... but you were like one. It's just so sweet." she explains.

I lift my head up off the desk, which I probably had a big red mark on my forehead from it resting there. "Kendra, enough of the gushy stuff I don't want to hear it, ok?"

She shut up and class started.

As the bell rang, knowing it was the end of class, I get up out of my seat, not stopping to talk to anyone on the way out. I just walk to my locker and grab my stuff for my next class.

"Rose, can I talk to you?" a voice announces beside me. I assume it's Jason.

"Would you just leave me-" I look up at the person. It wasn't Jason. "Kyle?"

"Can we talk?" he asks.

I'm confused. "Why do you want to talk to me?" I sneer.

"It's about Jason."

"If there is anything that has to do with Jason right now, I don't want to talk about it, understand?"

I start pacing away, but he put his arm in front of me blocking me in all directions so I would leave. He looks at me, concerned.
