Chapter 3
About a half mile down the road, I heard my cell ringing.
“Who would be calling me now?” I asked.
“Did you ever tell Tanner that you were going to be leaving him for a while?” Travis questioned.
“Damn,” I whispered and sure enough, it was him. Tanner was my boyfriend at the time. “Hello?”
“Kay, I hear you are already on a trip with your band. How come you didn’t tell me?” Tanner wondered.
“Tanner, I forgot all about it. Sorry,” I replied.
“Nah it’s no big deal. I know you were really busy packing anyways.” He said.
A long, yet annoying silence spread on the line. I knew that he really cared and I was afraid he was going to ask me if he could come along. Honestly, I hate it when he comes with the band and I. He always gets in the way and he normally criticizes Jesse and Travis about something dumb.
“Do you mind if I come along? I mean as long as Jesse and Travis are ok with it.” Tanner added.
I rolled my eyes. See I told you he would ask me.
“Hold on, let me ask.” I said. I look over at Jesse as Travis looks up at me, uncertain of what I might say. I put my finger over the speaker of the phone. “Tanner wants to come along.”
“You’re kidding me!” Jesse responded.
“There’s no way he’s coming with us. Remember when we were over at your house in your garage and he was stuffing his face with those Cheese Doodle. He was annoying the hell out of Jesse and I; smacking his lips together, then he tells us what to do yet. Tanner is nothing but a nuisance.” Travis explained.
“Come on you guys! You know how Tanner is. He’ll end up finding his own way to come with us one way or another.” I told them.
They paused. Jesse didn’t say anything, but pull over onto the side of the road, until he knew where we were going.
“Oh no! He’s not coming. Don’t even think about it.” Travis shouted, loud enough so Tanner could hear.
“Kay,” I heard Tanner say over the phone. “So,” I knew he wanted the answer, but no one wanted him to come along. I didn’t want to hurt Tanner’s feelings though. I sigh abruptly while taking my finger of the speaker part of the phone.
“Where do you want us to pick you up?” I ask, quietly. Jesse and Travis groaned, not wanting him to come with what’s so ever. I didn’t want to hurt Tanner by saying no. He was probably going to find a way to come with anyway. He normally does.
“Pick me up at the Holiday Inn parking lot. I’ll have my bags packed at ready to go.” He answered.
“Ok, we’ll be there in about fifteen minutes or so.” I told him.
“I love you,” he said.
“I love you too,” I rolled my eyes, sarcastically and I hung up the phone.
“What the heck?” Travis spoke.
“I’m sorry, but I wasn’t going to say no and then he ends up showing himself up somewhere, begging us to let him come with. You know how he is.” I declared.
“I can’t believe you’re even dating him. He’s a loser.” Jesse responded.
“Don’t insult him. He maybe strange at times, but he’s a great guy. So I’d shut up and drive if I were you. I don’t want to start fighting on this trip so let’s go.”
Jesse and Travis just looked at me.
“Well, someone’s a little moody this morning.” Travis laughed and Jesse let out a small chuckle. I glared at Travis and pushed him back in his seat.
“Shut up Travis!” I yelled.
“OK, we’re going now!” Jesse insisted. “Now buckle up children. We need to go pick up little Tanner Ludwig from Daycare.”
“Jesse knock it off! Just let it go, ok?” I sighed looking out my window.
I just knew that it was going to be a very long trip to Vegas, with three immature guys. Yippee! Sounds like fun.

This story is really good. :]
