Chapter 19
I frown. Caleb didn't have to leave if I'm the only one that can see him. My dad walks down the stairs and smiles at me. He opens his mouth just a little bit as if he was about to say something, but I spoke up.
"Dad, are you hiding someone from me?" I randomly ask.
The look on his face was curious. "Why would you ask that?" he questions.
What am I suppose to say now? That a ghost from the past came into my room and started talking to me? Dad would buy it. He'd think I was drunk.
"Well I, I just wondered," I studder.
"Rose, if I was hiding something or someone from you I would have told you by now, I promise." he explains. I nod my head. His face looks a likttle uncertain, but I believe him. "Anyway, the reason why I came down here in the first place was to tell you that your mother and I will be out for a few hours; so you'll be home alone with Caleb, (he means her brother.) No friends or boys over, understand?" he smirks.
"Yes Daddy Dearest," I say, showing him my fake smile. He gives me a kiss on the forehead and says good-bye on his way back upstairs. Once I knew he was gone, I plop back onto my bed and sigh.
"I'm back." Caleb again.
I jump. "You know I get scared easily."
"Yeah, just like your mother." he laughs. I look at him confused. His smile sweeps off his face, but I didn't bother to ask why.
"Caleb, is there anyway that you could tell me how you are so close to my family?" I wonder.
"All I can say is that I am related to you, but that's as much as I can say. That's probably too much as it is." he replies.
"Why can't you tell me if you're my cousin, or uncle, or for all I know you could be my father, but I know that's not true. You look to young to be my dad anyways." I tell him. Silence. Not too long after I heard the door bell ring.
"I gotta answer that, but don't go." I insist.
"I'm always here, just hiding. Don't worry just go on." he states.
I runs up the stairs and falling up them in the process, landing on my hands and knees. I finish up the stairs an I see my brother, Caleb, had answered the door. I notice it was Jason. I gasp. They both look over at me with my surprised expression on my face. Jason smiles. I walk into the living room closer to the front door.
"I was talking to your boyfriend," Caleb says. "And he said he can come to me baseball games and teach me a few tricks."
"Oh that sounds cool. Can I talk to Jason alone for a second?" I question.
"Sure," he smiles, walking off minding his own buisness.
Jason lets out a chuckle. "You're brother's nice. I hope you didn't mind me offering."
"No, I don't mind at all, but my dad said that I couldn't have any friends over when my parents are out of the house, so you can't stay." I respond.
"Come on Rose. You're not five anymore. I just wanted to see if you were up for the movies," he hesitates.
I roll my eyes. "If I go with you, I'll get in trouble, so no." Jason just stands there in front of me outside with the door open.
(Authors Note: Sorry for the wait and shortness. Had a little time to post a chapter, so enjoy. RRC please; always appreciated.)

I think a ghost, Caleb is her father because I see that name is given to her brother's name. Hmm I just wonder. Lol
Can't wait for more :)
