I Wonder *2*

Chapter 2

“Get out of the way!” said a kid out in the hall of the school.

I was really angry by all the whack jobs around this school. I felt like giving ever last one of these hicks a piece of my mind.

“Wham!” was the sound that was made as I ran into someone, sending all of our papers and books on to the floor.

“Great!” I said aloud, as I bent down to pick up my stuff.

“Sorry about that. Are you ok?” the guy apologizes.

“I’m fine thanks,” I looked up at him. His eyes were shade of blue-gray; his hair was long and dark brown, or maybe it was black. I can’t tell. It swooped a little bit in his eyes, which made him pretty darn cute.

“Hey, aren’t you the new girl in town?” he asks me.

“Word gets around, I guess. Why? What are you going to say; something rude to me like everyone else?” I question.

“No, I’m not like that at all. I don’t tell people off like that. Anyways, my name is Jason.” He states.

“Rose,” I said.

“Rose, huh? That’s a pretty name.” Jason said, helping me up off the ground and handing me my books.

“Thanks,” I smile.

The bell made a loud ruckus, which made my ears vibrate. I hate that bell so much.

“Well, I better go. Wait, what class you have next?” he asks me, before he started to head for class.

“Geometry with Mr. O’ Dobell,” I reply.

“Awesome, so do I. Do you want me to walk with you and show you where it’s at?” Jason smile.

“Lead the way,” I laugh, along with Jason.

We both sprint to Geometry class, so we wouldn’t be later than what we already were. I thought it was kinda funny though. Once we reach the doorway, Mr. O’ Dobell stood in front of the class room, staring over at us. He seems to be in his early 30’s. He was pretty good looking for his age, but I didn’t find him all that attractive.

“Well, I see you’re late Mr. Montgomery.” He said to Jason.

“Sorry Mr. O’ Dobell. I was showing Rose here around a bit.” Jason replies.

“That means you must be the new girl, umm…” he says to me.

I nodded. “Yes, sir.”

“Well, take a seat at an open desk. We don’t have many people here today.” He told me.

Since there was an empty seat next to Jason, I sat by him. I laugh to myself. I guess Jason gets in trouble a lot, because Mr. O’ Dobell didn’t seem to be surprised at all.

“Psst! Try not to get too terribly bored over his lectures. He’s really a cool teacher, but he tries not to show it much.” Jason leans over to my desk, as he whispers to me.

“Oh ok,” I reply with a smile.

He chuckled a little and it made me laugh to I just don’t know why. Mr. O’ Dobell looks over at us.

“Does there seem to be a problem?” he questions.

Jason clears his throat.

“No sir,” he said.

“No not at all.” I reply.

We both practically said it at the same time and when he wasn’t looking, we giggle some more. I don’t know why, I guess we are just laughing for the heck of it.

Maybe this school won’t be so bad after all. As long as I make a few more friends, then it’ll be alright. Jason seems like a cool guy to be hanging around with, even if he is the bad boy type.
