Chapter 26

“Mom, I don’t think I can do this!” I yell.

“Take it easy. You’ll be just fine.” She replies to me.

Ryan was on my right side and my mother was on the other. I was in so much pain I feel like I could just give up right now.

I remember that if I didn’t make it, I gave a nurse a note so no one would be so hurt. I had names figured out for the baby; Rose for a girl and Caleb for a boy.

I was so miserable and full of pain, I just can’t take it anymore. I want Caleb by my side. He’s the only one that can really help me through this. I gave up.

Karrie didn’t make it through the pregnancy, but her baby did. It was a girl. The only thing left of Karrie, was a note.

Ryan and Brittany were out in the waiting room, with Karrie’s mom, when the doctor came out and told everyone the news.

Dear Family,

I know if I don’t make it, I’ll be with Caleb again; the one I’ve always loved and cared to be with forever. I don’t have a will, and I don’t care who gets my things, but I really want everything to go to Ryan and Brittany. Both of you mean to the world to me and I’m glad I put you two in charge of the baby. If it’s a girl, I chose the name Rose Marie. If it’s a boy, I thought of the name Caleb Alexander. Please, don’t be sad for long. I know for sure I’m in a much better place than this drama hole. Live happily, I’ll be looking down to all of you.

Ryan fell to the ground and broke down in tears. He couldn’t stand knowing that his twin sister is gone just like his best friend, but he knew that they were both in a better place and there couldn’t be anywhere better.

Ryan and Brittany did take custody over Karrie’s baby, who they did name Rose, but they had to change their last names for safety reason. So the baby girl’s full name is Rose Marie Aldean now.

They moved up to New York City and stay up there till Rose turned 17. Ryan’s mother moves out to Nebraska so she wouldn’t be in any danger by Ryan’s father, (By the he was put in jail for what he did to Caleb, Along with Cindy and Dylan.)

So far, everything seems to be ok, but there are a few surprises once they move to Nebraska for family issues. Plus, Rose doesn’t know that Ryan and Brittany aren’t her biological parents. Will she find out from them soon before someone else ruins the secret?
