Chapter 10

~ Kenny's POV:

I heard a loud thud in the distance. I could barely open my eyes. Everything was already a blur to me. I wasn't sure what had happened. I heard a soft voice whisper something to me. I couldn't tell who it was, but I knew it was a woman's.

"Kenny? Kenny are you awake? Kenny please wake up!" the voice said worriedly.

My eyes were weak and heavy. I opened them slowly to see a female figure before my eyes. It was Elyse. I slowly get up off the ground, but pain shot through my entire body.

"Ugh! What happened? And where are we exactly?" I mumbled to her.

"Kenny you should lie back down. I called for help. Their on the way. Hector and Eric ran off." she told me.

I didn't bother to respond. I knew that she wasn't lying, but I was afraid that something bad was about to happen. I wasn't sure what, but I had a gut feeling that something's going to if not already.

Just like that I heard an abulence and a few cop cars come up. I didn't think that a bunch of them would be coming, but they did. Two parimedics rush to my side and ask Elyse and I a few questions, so did the cops. Most of the things were a big blur to me.

"Honestly officer, I'm not sure what all happened, but I am sure that two people are off to go hurt someone, or I wouldn't have been hit alongside the head." I said to the officer, as one paramedic was checkng me and making sure I didn't have any major injuries of some sort.

"Do you know who they might be after?" he questioned to me.

"Ashley Spelling, a close friend of mine."

"Alright son; we'll let you go, but you shouldn't be out and about; just try and get some rest, alright?" he told me.

"Will do sir. Thanks," I replied.

As the police rolled away in their vehicle, I noticed that Jake and Tia were walking towards me.

"Hey what are you doing here?" I asked.

"We'd like to know the same thing. What happened here? Why are you here in the first place? Who's she?" Jake questioned me, pointing over at Elyse.

"That's just Elyse. A friend I guess you could say. I don't have time to explain, but I think Ashley's in trouble." I told them.

"Dude what are you talking about?" Jake asked.

"Ashley's at home right now. She doesn't know about anything yet. She doesn't even though that you are here." Tia explained.

"Oh my God! They're after her. I just know it." I mumbled.

"Who?" the both said at the same time.

"Ashley's ex, Eric, and Hector Rivera, Elyse's sister. It's really a long story, but we need to go find her before it's too late." I yelled, getting off the abulance.

"Kenny, you need your rest." Jake said.

"Me and Jake can go see if she's alright, but we'll let you know if anything's wrong." Tia insisted.

"Alright," I agreed, but I was sure they were already too late. I know for a fact that they were both after Ashley. I don't know why, but I've got a pretty good feeling about it.

~ Ashley's POV:

It was getting later and later. It was probably almost eight o' clock. I was alone, because my parents were out for their anniversery. I decided to just stay here and sleep.

I crawled into bed and as I did, I heard a loud crash outside. I look out  window, but didn't see anything. I figured it was probably our neighborhood cat, roaming around trashcans as always, so I turned around and closed my eyes.

Just in a matter of seconds, I felt cold hands over my mouth and I started to scream, but the person had a rag over my mouth, which by the way tasted nasty. I slowly got sleepier and sleepier, as my vision became unclear. I was knocked out cold.
