Chapter 9

~ Ashley's POV:

As the end of the day neared, I was tempted not to tell Kenny about how I've been feeling about him. I was sitting in class, bored as usual, as my English teacher, Miss. Bartush, was showering us with her lectures. They bored me to death. I couldn't stand her either.

Every so often I'd glance up at the clock on the wall, just to see if times even moving, because class was going so slow.

Only 1 minutes left. I said to myself.

And just like that the bell rang. I rushed  out of class and to my locker. I left everything inside it and I went outside to wait for Kenny.

Where could he be? I wondered.

The time I had seen him was at lunch and that would have been two hours ago. I sit down on a bench a look around every few seconds. Still no Kenny.

I was just about to call him, when my phone rang.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Ashley I won't be able to meet you today. Change of plans." Kenny said.

"So basically what you are saying is that I've been waiting here for nothing, right?" I replied.

"Hey I'm sorry Ashley. This is really important. I promise I'll make up for it later." he stated.

"Alright, bye," I said rudely.

"Bye," he ended. Then we both hung up.

I got up off the bench in front of the school and started walking home, alone. I was pissed. Let's see if he can keep his promise.

~ Kenny's POV:

Once we hung up, I knew for a fact that Ashley was mad at me. I couldn't help it. I had to meet Hector and Elyse in less than 15 minutes. I didn't want to turn Ashley down, but if it means keeping he ex as far away from her and I, then so be it.

Ashley's ex boyfriend, Eric, is the head of the drug dealing buisness. He's the one that got me in this mess in the first place. I hated him so damn much, but tried not to show it that much, or Hector might tell Eric.

As I came to a stop in my car at an abandon factory or something, I turned off the ignition and neared the building. It was a dump, that's all I could say. I opened a sliding door slowly as it creaked loudly. I inched closer inside until I heard noises all around. As I came to the voices I walked in.

"It's about time," he said, with a lollipop hanging out his mouth.

I looked at him blankly. He an evil smirk across his face and it made me a little nervous.

"The cocaine's in the car," I stated.

"That's fine," Hector replied.

The look on Elyse's face didn't look to happy. She looked more nervous than what I probably did.

I look at them both, as heard foot steps near us. Just like that, I was half knocked out and everything was black for a moment, but I could hear and feel things. It was really strange.

 The last thing I remember seeing was Hector and some tall guy running as I heard their voices trail off into the distance, shouting "We got 'em! Now let's roll."
