Chapter 7

~ Ashley's POV:

As Jake and I walk out of the house, I went over to Tia, who was sitting on a chair doing nothing.

"So," she said.

I sat down beside her. "I think Kenny's doing drugs." I whispered as Jake stood beside me.

"No way! Kenny? He wouldn't do that, would he?" Tia stated.

"That's what we need to find out. I'm not letting my best friend start doing drugs for no reason. I don't know if someone if forcing him to do it, but by God I'm not going to let him get near anything that has to do with it." I exclaimed.

"I thought you two weren't friends anymore. Plus I thought I was your best friend?" she grinned.

I stopped and froze. Did I really just say that? Kenny and I haven't been friends in over so many years. It's like now we're growing closer to each other. I rolled my eyes.

"Tia, I've been friends with you, Jake, and Kenny since we were tots. You all are considered my best friends. Now, go back and have fun." I said, trying to get off the subject.

~ Kenny's POV:

"So, are ya sure they won't say a word?" Hector said, grabbing the front of my shirt and pinning my up against the wall.

"Yeah, yeah I'm sure they won't. Now can you please put me down." I demanded.

"As long as ya promise, never to let them know what we're doing and make sure that won't tell anyone that we have millions of dollars ever day, yo got it?" he threatened.

"Yes, you got a deal." I replied, as he let go of me and walked out the bedroom door along with Elyse.

I knew that this was a bad idea from the start, but if I'm threatened to do something, I'll do as long as no one gets hurt. I felt shame in the pit of my stomach. Not telling my friends is probably one on the worst things I could do to them. I can't lie to them forever.

I sat on the edge of my bed and covered my face with my hands, thinking. If I told anyone about this, most likely there wouldn't be a pretty sight coming. If I could tell my friends the truth and make sure that they wouldn't say anything, there wouldn't be a problem, but that could be a life or death situation.
