Laughed Until We Cried (Chapter 10) |
Take Me There (6)
Matt placed Chelsea back on her feet.
"I'm sorry about that. I guess I better watch where I'm going, huh?" she laughs.
"It was a good thing I was there to catch you or you'd look like a pancake." he replied, as the both laughed together.
"So, I guess I'll see you up at the pier later on." Matt said.
"Yep, I'll see you later." Chelsea smiles.
They both turned around in the opposite direction and headed back to change and whatever else they needed to. Chelsea got back to her house and felt exahusted, but she really didn't do anything at all the entire day. She ran upstairs to her room and took a quick shower. She changed into blue & green plaid shorts from American Eagle and a green shirt that Aeropostle written across the side of it. She looked in her closet and found a pair of Old Navy flip-flops she could wear. She applied a little mascara and eye shadow, but not excessively. She dried her hair and grabbed her curling iron and straightened her hair. She looks at herself in the mirror.
"Well, I guess it's time to go." she said to herself.
She grabs her cell phone off her bed and sees Matt's AC/DC sweatshirt laying on the ground. I forgot about this. I would assume he'd want it back. She picks it up, puts her cell phone in her pocket and walks out of her room, closing it behind her. She was about half way down the stairs and was stopped by her mother.
"Where are you going at this time?" she says.
"To the beach with some friends," she replied, which was true.
"Well, be back by midnight, unless call me." her mother exclaimed.
"I know," Chelsea walks passed her mom and out of the house like the speed of light.

Chelsea pulls up in the parking lot outside of the pier. She parks her maroon Grand Am beside a 1970 blue Ford pick-up truck. She gets out of her car and locks it. She paces up the street and looks over in the direction of the pier. There stood Matt. She starts sprinting over to him, as if someone was chasing her. She walks up the board walk and down the pier.
"Hey Matt!" she said, excitingly.
"Hey! So where is everybody at anyway?" he asks.
"Oh they won't be out in the open. Come on I'll show ya." she says.
Matt takes her hand and Chelsea guides them down onto the beach. They walked down the beach for about five minutes until the met up at where everyone was. They heard music on; "We Rode in Trucks" by Luke Bryan. Matt never heard it before, but Chelsea did and loves the song. While she was singing the song in her head, she was looking around for some of her friends, but didn't see very many.
"Well, we're here," she smiled.
"This nice and different." he replied.
"Hey!" someone said, behind Matt. They both look in that direction. "What's this?"
"Jamie? What the hell are you doing her?" she murmered (Jamie's her ex boyfriend).
"Do you really think I'd miss this big party down here?" he said. "I see you have someone here with I haven't met before."
"This is Matt, he's not from around here. He's just on vacation." she replies, as Jamie puts his hand out and to shake hands with Matt.
"Nice to meet you." Jamie says, as Matt just stares at him, wondering who the heck he was.
"Same here," Matt said, still staring at him, unsure what to think.
"Well, it was nice seeing you again Chelsea. Hope to see you two later on." he sneers and walks away in the other direction.
They both stared, then Matt looks over at Chelsea.
"Exactly, who was he anyway?" he asked.
"No one important," she replied, walking away from him.
"Wait where are you going? And what do you mean he's no one important? You obviously know him." he says.
"He's my ex boyfriend if you must know."
Matt just looked at her. Was she serious? he thought.
