While walking to the park I noticed no more leaves were on the tree branches, all painted a colored picture among the trunks and ground. Also that it’s actually freezing out. I looked up to Christian while hugging his arm for warmth. My jacket doesn’t do too much, and I’m supposed to have a party to be outside in this weather. He noticed me looking and smiled down at me as I hid my face in his sleeve. I’m cold…
“Cold my dear?” He said with a funny accent.
“Yeah, now that you mentioned it…”
“Here.” He said, removing his jacket and handing it to me.
“No, I’ll be fine, besides you’ll get cold too.” He sighed and squeezed my hand lightly kissing my forehead. We walked the rest of the way to the park and found our friends and some new people. There was Toluse and his boyfriend, Levi. Then Derek and Roxie, Grete hasn’t really talked with us since she and Derek broke up. Then there were a two new girls and another guy I’ve never seen before. One of the girls had long-ish red dark hair put up in a bun. She was wearing some tight black leather pants with some silver chains hanging from the front to the back, also a Nightmare before Christmas hoodie. She appeared to have a heavy amount of black makeup around yellow green-ish eyes and painted deep red nails. Her ears were pierced probably around six times. The girl next to her had straw berry blonde short haired, in layers, with red-orange tips, kind of like fire. She had a v cut t-shirt cut down to the cleavage that had a quote on it, “Idaho? No you da hoe.” On it, along with a mini skirt with little Xs and dead hello kitties on it. She had blue eyeliner and white eye shadow, a great smile with little black tulip earrings in her ears. The guy next to her was flirting friendly, he was gorgeous! That blonde hair spiked in the back with purple tips, the little nose stud and light purple eyeliner around those blue eyes, and nail polish. He had a long sleeved purple and white stripped shirt under a black t-shirt. He was also wearing some torn up baggy jeans with little writing on it, from a sharpie marker. He was beautiful, but I love my Christian more.
As we walked into the park I noticed, more then the strangers, but the decoration, the swings had a banner at the top entitled, “Sweet Sixteen.” The lowest tree branch had some decorative pillows and a variety of colored gifts on it, and the table had cake and party favors with the pop on it, also the friends and new comers. The slide had balloons and other fun things, like game boards and darts, wait darts?
“Uh, why is there darts … and balloons at the same place?” I asked as everyone giggled and turned to me, I suddenly hear an enormous, “Happy Birthday Jamie!” and a few “kiss her!” from them. Suddenly I felt a hand curl around the small of my back and hand to my chin, turning my face into my boyfriend’s! He kissed me, and everyone cheered and clapped. When Christian released me from his grip I couldn’t help, but blush and walk over to the table, I could feel a set of eyes glaring daggers into my back. Roxie, she hasn’t forgiven me for ‘stealing’ him away. I didn’t steal him though! He let YOU go so HA!
After my little embarrassment, Christian lead me to our seat where everyone was staring at me, he sat down next to me, with him on the edge and Toluse to my right. More like Levi and Toluse though. Toluse had Levi straddling his hips and his head resting on his shoulder, so I leaned my head on Christian’s and squeezed his hand lightly. I’m not used to having this much attention, not even in our park meetings. I looked down to escape the glare from Roxie, why’d she have to come…
“So what’s our birthday girl’s name, and what age?” The boy with the purple tips asked me the hint of curiosity sparkle in his eye.
“I-I-I’m ... J-Jamie...” I stuttered, everyone was watching me, I felt kind of closed in as I hugged Christian’s arm. I guess he knew what was wrong as he began to whisper in my ear.
“Well I think you should get to know them right? So you won’t cut off the circulation in my arm anymore.” He chuckled. “So we know Toluse and ... um, Levi already... and uh… Toluse…Toluse!”
“Yeah?”
“Is there any OTHER possible time to do that?” Christian asked in an annoyed tone, what was he doing? I still had my face hidden; I lift it to see a blushing Levi and Toluse going after his neck. When Christian said that Toluse grunted in frustration.
“Fine…” Toluse said looking back to everyone like he’s done nothing inappropriate while Levi hides in the front of his hoodie. Then suddenly, laughter and giggles filled the mood. I kind of giggled too, I mean it was cute.
“Getting back to the point, we know Derek and … Roxie, stop glaring at Jamie.” I had my face hid again and I could feel Christian sigh. He whispered something over to her and when I look up I saw a look of triumph on her face. What’d he tell her? “So there’s three new faces’ here. Would you like to introduce your selves?” I looked up to watch as the boy with purple tips stood and spoke reaching his hand out to mine. I took it and we shook, I couldn’t help but falling in those beautiful eyes.
