I was 12 years old when my life changed forever
I was 12 years old in school and about to go to my choir consert in about an hour when i got called out of class by my mom i asked what was wrong and all she answerd me with was that we were going to the hospital to check for something when we got there i was brought into a room and was asked some questions like was i drinking water frequently and i answered yes they also asked somemore questions and most of them i answered yes then i had to give blood it didn't hurt that much. i missed my choir consert but i was there and able to cheer them on. the next day my mom got a call saying that i needed to go to a differant doctor asap. my mom took me out of school again and we went to my new doctor. he told me that i have Diabeties and that i had to go to the main hospital. my mom was crying but i didn't and all i could think about was "Why me of all of the people in the world why me?"
i was put in Pedi ICU and was there for a week. when i got back to school everyone started to treat me differantly as if i was weak and could do nothing. I hated it and felt alone but in the same year i went to camp for people with juvinial diabeties the kind i have. i met a ton of people there who were like me. i got friends who understand me and can relate to me. now i have just got home from camp and have diside to share my story with the world. Now i know im not alone and i know that there are people in this world who still feel alone and this is to all of you and everyone eles, i shared my story will you share yours?
