Electro Static: part 34
|
What do you have that could pinpoint large amounts of energy?" Simon asked. "Of course we do! Come on, I'll introduce you to experiment #101." Corry replied. "I meant something that WASN'T alive." Simon said. "Oh, come on, dude! She's all we have!" Corry exclaimed. "Ugh, fine. As long as she'll be 100% obedient." Simon said. "Are ANY of our experiments?" Corry asked. "No." Simon answered. "Exactly." Corry said. "Perhaps you people could build a living thing that'll actually do your bidding." Simon suggested. "Who knows? Maybe she will. We've never actually used her before. Before 824 came along, we had machines for this sorta thing, and now that he's here, we haven't really needed to pinpoint massive amounts of energy." Corry said. "Oh fine. Show her to me." Simon said. "Yes! Come with me!" Corry exclaimed and the 2 of them ran down the corridor.
"Identify yourselves." The computer said. "Corry, GHA agent #128." "Simon, Geneton, Electrode." The blue light appeared, followed by the beeping noise. "Verified. Welcome, boys. Which experiment would you like to view?" The computer asked. "101." Corry answered. "51st door on your left." The computer stated and then the doors slid open. Corry and Simon kept walking until they found the door. "Identify yourselves." The computer said AGAIN. "You people should really do something about this." Simon whispered. "Ugh. Corry, GHA agent #128." "Simon, Geneton, Electrode." Blue light, beep. "Verified. Welcome, boys." The 2 walked inside and saw a girl about their age floating in a green liquid, completely unconscious.
"Well, Simon, what do you think?" Corry asked. Simon couldn't take his eyes off her face. "Simon?" Corry asked. "She's... wonderful." Simon said. An older man approached them and said, "Ah, Corry, Simon, what can I do for you 2?" "Mathew, we need to activate Experiment 101." Corry said. "Why?" Mathew asked. "I dunno, ask Simon." Corry replied. "Well, Simon? What is it?" Mathew asked. "This is going to sound crazy, but I MAY have a way of destroying 824... no, a way of changing the past so that none of this happens at all." Simon answered. Corry and Mathew both looked at him with astonishment. "If you have a way, tell us." Mathew said. "Well, there are these stones." Simon said as he pulled the Omni Topaz out of his pant pocket. "Called Omni Topazes." He continued. "The Omni Topazes?" Corry asked. "Yes, they're a myth. They don't truly exist." Mathew stated. "Then what's this?" Simon asked. "Well, it's an ordinary rock. If it WAS an omni Topaz, it would allow you to teleport if you say these 2 words... what were they?" Mathew asked himself. O: Omniscient Summoning! Omniscient Summoning! The voice of the man from before rang in Simon's head. "Omniscient Summoning." Simon said. Suddenly, he was on the other side of Corry. "It works!" They all exclaimed in shock. "Who was that guy? And how does he know so much about the past?" Simon asked himself. He cautiously approached the Topaz and picked it up. "And how can YOU be the answer? How can a rock prevent all this chaos from occuring? But, like he said, I have nothing to lose by seeking out these stones, whether he's right or not... But I have absolutely everything to gain if he's right." He told himself. He looked out his window and said, "But, with all these ruins... it could be impossible to find the stones." He reasoned. "All though, the GHA might be able to help with that." Then, he left his house and used his electro-magnetic abilities to hover and fly to the GHA base.
"Identify yourself." The computer at the front of the GHA hidden base told Simon. "Simon, Geneton, Electrode." He answered. A blue light appeared on his body, a beeping noise was made, and then the computer said, "Verified. Welcome, Simon." The doors slid open and Simon walked inside. "Yo, Simon! Wazzup?" A boy about Simon's age asked as he ran over to Simon. "Hey, Corry. Hey, I need a favor.
"So, what's your plan?" Mathew asked. "An anominous source has informed me that if we collect all 7 of these Topazes, we could use them to travel backwards in time!" Simon exclaimed. "And then we could prevent 824 from becoming all powerful!" Corry said. "And that's why I need 101. She could help me find the other 6 topazes." Simon explained. "Well then, what are we waiting for? Let's activate her!" Mathew said, rushing over to a computer. "Just out of curiosity, how does she work?" Simon asked. "Well, she can't pinpoint massive quantities of energy, but she can figure out the general direction. She'll point the way and then you can search for it." Corry answered. "Perfect. She can help me find the general location of the Topazes, then I can find them using this." Simon said as he pulled out the rod he'd been given by the strange, mysterious man. "It's glows various colors depending on how close to a Topaz it is. However, it only works if you're a certain distance away from the stone." Simon explained.
Suddenly, the girls eyes opened and the fluid she was suspended in was drained. She looked at Connor and Simon, then at her naked form. She quickly covered up with her arms. She tried to say something, but the glass was sound proof. "Okay, now to release her." Mathew said. The glass slid into the floor and 101 was free. "Can any one get me some clothes, please?" She asked. Another GHA agent entered the room with a shirt, bra, panties, and trousers. "Thank you. Now, if you could all just turn away for a second." 101 requested. Everyone obeyed and she put on her clothes. "Okay, you can look now." She said. Everyone turned to face her. "Now, I know who you 2 are..." She said, looking at Mathew and Corry. "You're GHA agents 128 and 305. But... Who are you?" She asked Simon. "I'm Simon." Simon answered. "Are you knew to the GHA?" 101 asked. "Well, I work WITH them, but I'm not an agent. I'm a Geneton." Simon answered. Suddenly, 101's eyes turned red. "Uh..." Simon said.
"Secondary function. TERMINATE." She said in a monotone. "What the hell?" Simon asked. "Oh no!" Corry exclaimed. Mathew pressed a button on his computer, and 101 fell to her knees. "Deactivate secondary function." He said as he pressed a few more buttons. The red glow of her eyes ceased. "What was that all about?" Simon asked. "Seriously. I didn't know she had a secondary function." Corry said. Mathew didn't respond. "Mathew, what happened?" Simon asked. "I was hoping you'd be in older when you 2 found out the truth." Mathew said. "What are you talking about?" Corry asked. "Do EITHER of you know what GHA stands for?" Mathew asked. They both shook their heads. "Geneton Hunting Agency." Mathew said reluctantly. "SAY WHAT?!?" Simon shouted. "We began over 3000 years ago. An Agency meant to destroy Genetons. Back then, we viewed Genetons as abominations. We created 101 before we stopped hunting Genetons, so she has the secondary function of killing them." Mathew explained. "If you're a Geneton Hunting Agency, than why do you work with me?" Simon asked. "A common enemy unites the oldest of foes. That's why." Mathew answered. "We now realize that not all Genetons are evil." He continued. Simon thought for a second and then asked, "How did 824 come to be?" Mathew sighed and began typing on the computer. On the screen, an image of a ferret appeared. "Experiment #824. It was originally a Ferret, and our greatest weapon. It had the power to take the powers of Genetons it came in physical contact with. We programmed it to... transform after it gained all the Geneton powers. We created it for one sole target. He was the most powerful Geneton in existence, and we had to be rid of him." Mathew explained. "Let me guess. His name was Will?" Simon asked. "How did you know?" Mathew asked. "An anominous source." Simon answered. "Well, yes. He was called Will. He was an electrode that could use his powers even better than you can, Simon. The GHA wanted to kill him, so they created experiment #824. However, once it became too powerful, it rebelled. Will tried his best to stop it, but he just couldn't." Mathew said. "I all ready know that. I just didn't know you people were responsible for this monster." Simon said. He put away the Topaz and generated 2 balls of electricity in his hands. "Calm down, Simon. We are no longer like that. All of the scientists that aided in creating 824 have been dead for many years. And don't forget, you'd be dead right now if it weren't for us." Mathew told him. The electricity faded.
"Now 101, list all functions." Mathew commanded the girl. "Primary function: Seek out energy. Secondary function: Terminate Genetons, canceled. Third function, obey all orders from a sole master." She answered. "Okay. She won't try to kill you any more. You may rise, 101." Mathew said as he pressed another button. She got up and asked, "So, who's my new master?" Mathew and Corry pointed to Simon. "Wait... My new master is a... Geneton? It's no longer my duty to kill you, but... that goes against everything that my creators stood for and believed in." 101 said. "The GHA is no longer a Geneton Hunting Agency. We HELP Simon, and you will be expected to do the same." Mathew commanded. "Oh all right." 101 said.
"What do you want, master?" She asked rudely. "See this stone?" Simon asked as he pulled the Omni Topaz back out. 101's eyes got wide, her bottom jaw fell, and her tongue hanged out. Basically, she looked like she was impersonating a dog that was looking at a duck-shaped hand puppet. "What's with her?" Simon asked. "Well, she likes things with a lot of energy." Mathew said. "And the Omni Topaz has more energy than a star." Simon muttered. He thought for a second and then said, "This could be fun!" He started moving the stone in all sorts of directions: up, down, left, right, diagonal. She would keep following the stone with her eyes. Maybe I can play fetch with her! Simon thought to himself, but decided not too. "You see this stone?" Simon asked. 101 nodded. "There are 6 other stones with the exact same amount of energy. We need to find them." Simon said. He half expected her to bark. Surprisingly, she did. "What is she, part dog or something?!?" Simon asked. "No, but just for laughs, we programmed her to act like a dog when she detected large quantities of energy."
"Sit." Simon said. She did. "Down." She obeyed. "Roll over." "Stay." "Come here, Girl!" "Sit." "Shake." Simon spent the next 5 minutes making her do dog tricks. "Could you get serious please?" Mathew asked after that. "Fine, fine." Simon said, putting the stone away. "That thing has A LOT of energy." 101 said, snapping out of her dogginess. "More energy than the sun. AND, there are 6 more of them. We need to find them!" Simon exclaimed. "WOO!!!" 101 shouted, leaping up into the air and clapping.
