Electro Static: part 29
|
All was calm in the desert in Arizona. But, suddenly, something raced across the sand, creating a trail of smoke behind it. It was Will, now a full grown, 35 year old man. So far, time has been good to him; he still looks like he's 19. Since the gang had broken up 20 years ago, his powers have only grown. He can fly without smashing 2 balls of electricity into his thighs, his sparks have a range of about a mile, he can bring down bolts of lightning on enemies a few feet away, and his speed and strength have overall increased as well.
As he ran, he heard a familiar voice shout, "HEY, WILL!" He turned his head and saw the red, orange, and yellow ship he'd flown in 21 years ago. In the cock pit was Erik, still the same height as all those years ago. "Erik?" Will asked. Erik had some sort of birth defect that had caused him to stop growing at the age of 13 or 14. "What are YOU doing here?" Will asked, particularly rudely. "Nice to see you, too. Will, we need you." Erik replied. "And what's so important that you'd ever show your face again?" Will asked. "Trouble. BIG trouble." Erik answered. "No trouble is BIG trouble any more. Once you've killed a sea snake large enough to eat Florida, trouble becomes a bore. It's all too easy, now." Will said. "You want a challenge? Check THIS out!" Erik exclaimed, holding out a flat computer screen. Will jumped up and snagged it out of Erik's hand. "What is it?" he asked. "Touch the big red circle in the center!" Erik instructed. Will obeyed.
Instantly, a hologram of THE general flickered into existence above the screen. He was mainly robotic now, but unmistakably the same General Shadow had killed 21 years ago. "Will that guy ever give up?" Will asked. The hologram spoke:
Genetons of Earth, this is a warning to all of you. I and the rest of the GHA have developed the ultimate armada. It is composed of 10 million flying ships, each armed with weapons designed to disintegrate you abominations and ONLY you abominations. In 5 days, you'll be gone from the Earth. Whether you decide to die or leave for ever is completely up to you.
Then, the hologram flickered out of existence. "Huh. Sounds like an invitation to party!" Will exclaimed. "What are we gonna do, Will?" Erik asked, fear quickly taking over his voice. "Well, this is REALLY big trouble, so, as much as it pains me to say it, we're gonna have to... *gulp* work together." Will said. Erik pressed a button on the dash board, and a door on the passenger section of the ship opened. Will hopped in and shut the door behind him. "I've arranged to meet with a few other people. We're gonna need back up." Erik said. "That's fine. I doubt to people can take on an entire Armada, especially if one of them can be bunted over the back fence." Will replied. "Okay, that was a bit uncalled for." Erik said. "Why? Truth hurts?" Will asked, chuckling to himself. "The years haven't changed you. You're still just as verbally abusive as 20 years ago." Erik scolded. "The years REALLY haven't changed you, mentally or physically." Will retorted. Just then, Will heard an *ahem* from the other end of the passenger section of the ship. "Oh yeah, I probably should've mentioned that one of the people who'll be helping us is already on the ship." Erik said. Will turned to face the person; she had long, braided brown hair, fair skin, and was looking away from him. "Oh, hello! Sorry, I'm bad at noticing things sometimes. Who are you?" Will asked, holding his hand out for her to shake. "Why don't ya'll take a wild guess?" the girl asked with a southern accent, not facing him. Will stuck his head in the cockpit and shouted in Erik's ear, "ERIK YOU SONOFABITCH!" "Awwww... is oo upset cuz pwetty lady dump oo?" Erik asked in that annoying baby voice. "Hey, I was gonna break it off, anyways! She's a manipulative, self centered, fat headed bitch! Why would you even consider inviting her?!?" Will asked. “I’m fat headed? Ya'll er the one that said ya were the greatest Geneton on the planet!" Jane retorted. Will faced her and replied, "I was only stating a simple fact! I'm number 1 on their hit list for 1 reason: I am the best there is." "Ya, just keep tellin yerself that." Jane said, rolling her eyes. "I'm completely serious. I HAVE the GHA hit list, and I am top priority. Why? Because they know that I can do more damage than 100 Genetons combined!" Will exclaimed. "Whatever." Jane said. "Hey, you actually said a sentence properly! I'm so proud of you!" Will teased. "Oh please, ya'll should just shut up." Jane replied. "YA'LL!!! YA'LL!!! YA'LL!!!" Will shouted, imitating her accent. "Yer such a 3 year old!" Jane exclaimed. "YER!!! YER!!! YER!!!" Will continued. Jane had enough. She got out of her seat and threw a punch at him. He grabbed her fist in mid air and flung her across the ship. She hit the wall hard, leaving a dent in it. She began to cry. "Wait, did you just dent my ship?!? That's impossible! This thing is tougher than diamonds for crying out loud!" Erik exclaimed. "Didn't I tell you? I'm the best there is!" Will exclaimed in Jane's face. "Ya'll er worse than mah father." Jane said. "OoOoOoOoOoh." Erik said. "Hey! You threw the first strike, so don't compare me to that ass hole!" Will yelled. Jane got to her feet and said, "I wish ya'll were still Shadow, so I wouldn't 'ave ta see yer ugly face." "That could be arranged!" Will retorted, gripping the necklace in his hand and preparing to rip it off. "So, what'll it be, bitch? Me, or death?" Will asked. "That's a pretty tough decision." Jane answered. "Look at you 2, fighting like an old married couple!" Erik exclaimed, getting annoyed with their constant bickering. W: Hey, Ozad, go into Erik's head and sing bang bang Maxwell silver hammer as LOUD AS YOU CAN. ; Very well... "Okay! Okay! I take it back!" Erik exclaimed after a minute. Will and Jane sat at opposite ends of the ship. After a few minutes, the 3 of them landed in the outskirts of Phoenix. It had been re-built after the Shadow incident. They found the man hole lid that lead to the Geneton Base, and entered. After walking through the sewer, they came across a door, and opened it. In it they saw a couple dozen Genetons walking around. They were greeted by 4 people, 2 boys and 2 girls. "This is our back up." Erik said to Will. The boys looked like twins, one of the girls looked emo, and the other girl had on a pink frilly dress. "Why do I get the feeling that these are Taylor, Tyler, Kayla and Serenity?" Will asked Erik. "Because we are!" Taylor and Tyler exclaimed in unison. "Oh great. The WHOLE gang is back together again." Will said sarcastically. "Yeah well, we aren't too happy about it, either." Kayla said. "Everyone has their Topaz, right?" Erik asked. The 7 of them all pulled out a stone. Will had the red one, Kayla had the green one, Jane had the blue one, Serenity had the black one, Taylor had the orange one, Tyler had the yellow, and Erik had the silver Topaz. "Okay, good. Now, where's a table?" Erik asked. Serenity lead them all to a table in the corner of the room. They all huddled around it. "Okay, I was able to get the basic blue prints for the armada and each ship in it." Erik said pulling out another flat computer screen. He placed it on the table, touched the red circle, and a hologram of 10 million ships flickered into existence. "There are 3 types of ships: The lead ship, 100 battle ships, and many, many fighter jets. Each battle ship is in charge of 99999 fighters. If one battle ship goes down, 99999 fighters go down with it. All the battle ships and fighter jets surround the lead ship." Erik explained. "So, what's the plan?" Kayla asked. "Simple. We'll have to destroy about 4 battle ships. That'll clear a path that leads straight to the Leader. We blow up the leader and the entire armada is forced to surrender." Erik answered. "How do we blow them up?" Taylor asked. "Again, simple. Each battle ship has an anti matter containment field as the main power source." Erik began. "And if we disrupt the containment field, the anti matter will destroy the entire ship." Will finished. "Exactly." Erik said. "How do we disrupt the field?" Serenity asked. Erik touched one of the battle ships. Instantly, all the other ships faded and the selected ship became larger. It then was sliced in half so we could see the interior. "This room has the anti matter containment field." Erik said, pointing to a room in the center. We zoomed in on the room and saw a tall, blue, semi transparent cylinder. It had a diameter of about 5 feet and was about 8 feet tall. Inside of it were several blobs of energy: anti matter. On either side of the cylinder was a column of buttons. "In order to disrupt the field, 2 people must push the correct sequence of buttons simultaneously. That sequence is simple enough: Top button, bottom button, 2nd highest, 2nd lowest, etc, all the way to the center. After that, you have 20 minutes to get off the ship before it blows up." Erik explained. "What about the lead ship? Will it fall the same way?" Will asked. "No. On the lead ship, there is a giant fighting robot. The robot is controlled by a GHA general. The robot has a small micro chip in it's chest. If that robot is destroyed, then the micro chip will instantly tell the Lead ship to self destruct." Erik answered. "Okay, here's the plan. Erik, you will fly all of us to some battle ships. Kayla and I will work together, Taylor and Tyler will work together, and Jane and Serenity will work together. The 3 teams will all find the anti matter containment field and disrupt it. After that, meet up with Erik and get on the ship. The first team to successfully destroy a battle ship will be placed on another to do the same thing. Once 4 battle ships have been destroyed, we will all fly with Erik to the Lead ship, fight the robot, and get out." Will explained his plan. "Sounds good to me." Kayla said. "Okay." Serenity agreed. Everyone nodded their heads. "All right then. We start tomorrow. Until then, everyone get plenty of rest. Tomorrow, we show the GHA what we Genetons can REALLY do!" Will exclaimed.
