I woke up, but Jane wasn't there any longer. "Jane?" I asked. I sat up and looked around the cave. "Jane?" I asked again. I crawled out of the cave and was temporarily blinded by the morning sun. I let my eyes adjust, and then went into Erik's cave. He wasn't there, either. I looked in Kayla's cave, and she was gone. Serenity, Taylor and Tyler were missing from their cave as well. "Where are they?" I asked. W: Ozad! Where are they? ; ... ; Ozad? ; ... ; Where are you? Talk to me! ; ... ; OZAD!!! "He can't be gone, too!" I exclaimed. What was happening? "Feeling Lonesssssome, Will?" I heard a voice ask. It sounded like a man speaking with the voice of a snake. I spun around, and saw a person that looked just like me... Accept he was entirely black. Even his eys. There was a single blotch of color ANYWHERE on this guy, not even his clothes. "Who are you?" I asked. "My name is Sssssshadow." He replied. "No... no! Get away from me!" I exclaimed. The others had told me about Shadow. "Ozad!" I shouted. "Ozzzzzad issssss not here. Nobody isssssss here, accccccept for you and I." Shadow said. "What did you do to them?!?" I asked frantically. "Do not worry. They are ssssssssafe... for the moment." "Shadow, if you hurt a single hair on any of them, I'll..." I began to say. "Hold that thought." He interrupted. He snapped his fingers, and then Jane appeared out of nowhere! "JANE!" I shouted. "Ssssssshe cannot hear you." Shadow said. He plucked a hair off of her head and snapped it in 2. Then, she vanished. "You were ssssssaying?" Shadow asked. I generated 2 balls of electricity in my hands and smashed them into his chest. Nothing. "Isssssss that the besssssssst you can do?" Shadow asked. I kicked him in the stomach. "Ow! My foot!" I shouted. It burned like Hell! Shadow laughed and said, "Thissssss isssssss jusssssssst too funny! Ozzzzzzzad would be dissssssapointed that you're sssssso weak." "Grrr... what do you want?" I asked. "I wisssssh to make a deal. I sssssshall return your friendsssss and Ozzzzzad perfectly unharmed. But! You musssssst promise to no longer interfere in Dazzzzzo's and my plans." Shadow replied. "Never!" I exclaimed. "Then you will DIE!" Shadow shouted. Suddenly, my entire body was motionless. "Grrrrr... what's.... happening... to ... me?" I asked. He generated a ball of black energy in his left hand. He walked up to me and slammed it into my stomach. I screamed, as I could feel the area around the ball slowly discintigrate. All of a sudden, I found myself lieing down in the cave, and Jane was shaking me and telling me to get up. "Okay, okay, I'm up." I said. "Baby, what happened?" She asked. "Nothing... just a dream." "JUST a dream?!? Ya'll was screamin and thrashin 'bout like a snake bundled up in a pickel jar! What happened?" She asked, her voice overflowing with concern. "Jane, baby doll, trust me. I'm all right. It was nothing." I assured her. "Will..." She said, her voice trailing off. "Okay, okay, fine. In my dream, all of you were being held captive by a dark, evil man named 'Shadow'. My powers were completely useless against him. He created a black ball of energy and slammed it into my stomach. It then started to slowly discintigrate me, starting from my stomach and working its way out. That's when you woke me up." I explained. She wrapped her arms around me, kissed my cheek and said, "I'm sorry. But yer awright, now. I'm here, an' the others are here an' nothin's gonna change that." She sounded so... motherly. "Thanks." I said, returning the hug. "I love ya." She told me. "I love you, too." I replied. "Awww... that's so sweet! C'mon you 2 love birds, let's get going!" Erik exclaimed from outside our cave. Jane and I pulled away from each other, blushed, and then crawled out of our hole. Every one looked ready to go. "It's about time you 2 woke up. What were you guys doing, anyways?" Kayla asked. "They were naked and having some fun." Erik said. I grabbed his hair and yanked his head back, and Jane smacked him across the face. "Okay, okay! I lied! They were just hugging and telling each other they loved each other!" Erik exclaimed. I let go of his hair. "Geez, can't you guys take a joke?" Erik asked. "Not that kind of joke." I said. "Yeah, you're sick." Serenity said. "You're one to talk!" Erik retorted. Nice one. "What's 'e mean bah that?" Jane asked me. "Just so you know, Serenity's sort of a... slut." I whispered in her ear. "What? But she's only 13!" Jane exclaimed. "That's what I said." I replied. "Yer lyin'." Jane said. "I'll have to take you down to the Geneton base in Phoenix. You can ask Lucas and a bunch of his pals what they think." I replied. "okay, guys! Enough beating around the bush! Let's go!" Taylor and Tyler exclaimed in unison. We all got into our regular formations and ran (Or tunneled, or flew) north. W: Hey, Ozad, you there? ; ... : OZAD!!! : Sorry, I couldn't help but wander into that dream you had. ; That wasn't funny! ; For me it was. hehehe. ; You're mean! "Well, at least Ozad's back." I muttered. "What ya'll mean?" Jane asked. "In my dream, he was gone, too." I said. "Yeah, but don't ya'll worry 'bout that any more. You're awake, and everythin's awright." Jane replied. "What are you guys talking about?" Kayla asked. "A bad dream I had." I answered. After what seemed like hours, a mountain slowly came into view. "Guys! I see it! There's the mountain!" I exclaimed. "Yippeekayay!" Jane exclaimed. Kayla and I looked at her. "What?" She asked. "Nothing, nothing." I said, shaking my head and chuckling. When we arrived at the mountain, my mouth dropped. I could no longer see the top, and it was almost a 90 degree angle! "This isn't a mountain, this is a cliff!" I exclaimed. O: No, it's a mountain. the other side is a 30 degree slope. ; So some poor, unsuspecting soul could go up the easy path, only to accidentally walk straight off the edge? ; Exactly. ; Seriously? ; No. "So, how do we get to the top?" I asked. "Leave this to us." Taylor and Tyler said. They turned their fists into drills and started digging into the side of the mountain. They seemed to be digging at a slightly upward angle, and soon they dug too high for us to see them anymore. "Well, I ain't waiting all day for them to dig a stair case for us." The spark that was Erik said, and zipped up along the side of the mountain. "Lucky." I muttered. After about half an hour, Taylor and Tyler popped their head out of the hole in the mountain they'd made and said, "Come on, you guys!" "Wow, that was faaaast." Kayla said. She, Serenity, Jane and I followed Taylor and Tyler into the mountain and started going up the spiraling stair case they'd dug. "You guys dug this?" I asked. "Who else could've?" Taylor asked. "Well, it's just, I expected it to take a bit longer." I said. "Never underestimate a drilloid when it comes to stuff like this." Tyler replied. "Though, I wish it was a bit brighter in 'ere." Jane complained. Kayla lit her left hand on fire. "Is that better?" She asked. Jane nodded. "So, Serenity, how's it back at the Geneton Base?" I asked. I'd almost forgotten about that place! "Things are good. Sam and Betty are now officially dating. Your grandpa brought in a couple electrodes the week after you left, so that was fun." Serenity replied. I shuddered at her idea of 'fun'. "So, Sam and Betty are together now?" I asked. "Uh huh! Shocked me, too." Serenity replied. O: I told you those 2 were meant to be with each other. Where's my $5? ; First of all, we never bet on it. Second of all, what would a flickering image of a man that only exists in the head of a couple of teenager kids do with $5? Heck, what would ANYONE do with $5? ; I know, I was just fooling. "How's Lucas?" I asked. "He's been doing well, though he's been losing a few hours of sleep at night lately." She replied. "And you would know this how?" I asked. She just grinned. Dear God, make the naughty thoughts go away! "Sorry I asked." I said. After an hour, we finally made it to the top. Erik was sleeping and using a rock as a pillow. "Watch this." I told Jane in a hushed tone. I sneaked up on him, and zapped him with my right index finger. He leaped to his feet and screamed. "WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!?" He shouted. All of us burst out laughing. "That wasn't funny!" Erik exclaimed. "Ya it was!" Jane exclaimed. "That was good!" Taylor and Tyler exclaimed. "Ugh... let's just find the Topaz." Erik groaned. I looked at the compass. I expected it to be spinning like crazy, seeing as this was the magnetic north of the planet. Instead, it was pointing to my left. "That's odd." I said. "What?" Jane asked. "We're at the magnetic north of the planet." I said. "So?" She asked. "what should the compass be doing?" I asked. "Spinnin like crazy, I reckon." Jane answered. "Look at it." I said, holding the compass up to her face. "It's pointin' one way!" She exclaimed. "Yeah, meaning there must be something powerful over there that's causing it to point that way, and I'd be willing to bet that it's the Topaz!" I exclaimed. She wrapped her arms around me and said, "Yer such a smarty!" and kissed me on the cheek. "Guys, I think the Topaz is somewhere over there!" I exclaimed, pointing in the direction the needle was. "Why over there?" They all asked. "Simple: We're at the magnetic north of the planet, meaning that the needle of this compass should be spinning like crazy. However, it isn't. It's pointing this way, meaning something REALLY powerful is over there." I explained. "That makes sense." Erik said. All of us walked in the direction the compass was pointing in. Suddenly, it started spinning like crazy! "The Topas must be right beneath us!" I exclaimed. Taylor and Tyler started digging into the ground. "Hey! I found something!" Tyler exclaimed. "Is it blue?" I asked. "Yeah!" He exclaimed. "Bring it up!" I commanded. Tyler and Taylor crawled out of the hole they made and Tyler revealed a blue stone: The Omni Topaz. "Yes! That's it!" I exclaimed. I took the stone and tried to stuff it in my left pocket; The Red Topaz was in there, so it wouldn't fit. I tried to put it in my left pocket, but the green Topaz was in there. "Uh... there's no where for me to put it!" I exclaimed. "I can hold on to it fer ya!" Jane exclaimed. I handed her the stone. "Any one want to hold the green one? There are 7 of these stones total and 7 of us. Once we get them all, we can each carry one!" I exclaimed. "Sounds good to me." Taylor and Tyler said. "Can I hold the green one?" Kayla asked. "Sure!" I replied, fishing it out of my pocket and handing it over. "thanks!" She exclaimed. "Can I hold the red one?" Serenity asked. "No... It's mine... my red topaz... mine... I had it first... it's mine... my preciouse..." I grumbled. "that's creepy." Serenity said, taking a step back. "Yeah, I know. But seriously. I hold the red topaz. I ALWAYS hold the Red Omni Topaz." I said. "And why's that?" Erik asked. "Because Red kicks ass." I said, smiling. "It suits you!" Jane said, hugging me and pressing her hands against my chest. "Thanks!" I exclaimed. "So, when can we get back to the ship?" Taylor asked. "Right now. OMNISCIENT SUMMONING!!!" I shouted. We all appeared on the ship. Erik crawled into the cockpit, and soon his voice was heard on the intercom. "Attention all passengers: We are about to accelerate at approxamately 2000 meters per second squared, so please do not move around the cabin until acceleration has come to a complete and total stop. Thank you for choosing Peterson Air Lines, and have a nice day!" We all buckled up and the ship lurched foreward. Jane wrapped her arms around me and pressed her face against my shoulder. I rubbed the back of her head and said, "Hey, it'll be all right! You'll be fine, I'm right here!" I felt her body relax, and I rested my head on hers. We had a long flight home. To be continued...

Okay peoples, this is what happened. Unreal1298 and I know each other in real life, and sometimes he reads my stories right next to me. However, we were accidentally logged in as me instead of as him, so that comment by williamscott7 is supposed to be by unreal1298. Sorry! |
