"Attention passengers: We are now at maximum speed, so acceleration can now come to a complete stop." Erik announced. We'd been flying for a few hours. "Wait, he's gonna stop the ship?!?" Kayla asked in shock. I opened my mouth to explain what Erik had meant, but then Jane said, "Nah, don't worry, ya'll. It just means we ain't speedin' up no more." "Stole the words right out of my mouth." I said. "Awwww... I'm sorry." Jane teased, wrapping her arms around me. I couldn't help but notice that Serenity was giving Jane the evil eye.
Suddenly, a bowl of grapes materialized. "Grapes for the 2 love birds?" Erik asked. That made us both blush. "Uh... suuuuure." I said, hesitantly taking the bowl. Everyone accept for Serenity was giggling at us, making my cheeks even more red. "Just ignore all them." Jane said to me, and then she popped a grape into her mouth. I picked a grape and ate it. "Did you have to?" I asked Erik. "Yes." He replied. W: Hey, Ozad, do me a favor. ; What? ; Go into Erik's head and sing Bang bang Maxwell silver hammer OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
"GOSH DANGIT WILL!" Erik shouted. I laughed and ate another grape. "What goes around comes around." I replied. "What ya'll do to 'im?" Jane asked, and then ate another grape. "I told Ozad to go inside his head and constantly sing a song called 'Bang Bang Maxwell Silver Hammer'." I replied, eating another. "That's evil." She replied, laughed, and then ate more grapes. "But funny." She said.
3 hours later, the ship began to slow down. "Why are we slowing?" I asked. "The planet with the Topaz is just a few hundred miles away!" Erik replied. "Oh, and by any chance could you tell Ozad to STOP SINGING IN MY HEAD?!?" Erik asked. W: Okay, Ozad, come back. ; That was fun. ; For you and me both. Erik had been complaining for the last 3 hours. "Will, I'm scared!" Jane exclaimed. "Of what?" I asked. "Landing. What if we crash and burn?" Jane asked. "Don't worry. Erik did a simulation!" I assured her. "Uh... yeah, about that." Erik said. "Erik! You'd better not say what I think you're gonna say!" I threatened. "I never practiced landing." Erik said exactly what I thought he was gonna say. W: Okay, Ozad. Sing in his head again. "I probably deserve this..." Erik grumbled. "Erik, you'd better not get us killed!" Kayla exclaimed. Jane wrapped her arms around me and pressed her face against my shoulder. I wrapped my arms around her, rubbed the back of her head and said, "It'll be okay! Trust me!" "No, it ain't gonna be awright! We're gonna crash and burn and that'll be the end o' us!" She exclaimed, about to burst into tears. She was right. Most likely, we would crash and burn.
Or would we? "Erik, make our space suits materialize!" I commanded. "Got it!" Erik replied. Suddenly, we were all in space suits. "I will never understand how that works. Now, Erik, do NOT attempt to land on the planet! Just put the ship on auto pilot and make it orbit the planet!" I commanded. "W-w-w-what ya'll d-doin'?" Jane asked, shaking. "You'll see." I answered. She looked up at me and smiled to show that she trusted me. I smiled back. Then, I heard Erik say, "Auto pilot is on!" "OMNISCIENT SUMMONING!!!" I shouted.
Suddenly, we were all on the surface of the planet. "How'd ya'll do that?!?" Jane asked in complete and utter shock. "I'm just that cool." I replied. She wrapped her arms around me again, and I returned the hug. "Awwww... aren't they cute together?" Kayla asked Serenity. I'm not sure who she was teasing. Us or her? Probably both. We pulled away from each other and giggled. "Okay, if you 2 love birds are done, can we start searching for the Topaz?" Erik asked. O: The air on this planet is breathable. ; You're sure? There doesn't seem to be any plants. ; Trust me. "Guys, Ozad says that the air is breathable!" I said to the others. We all removed our space suits. "Ah, much better! Those thing are soooooo uncomfortable!" Serenity exclaimed. W: So, where's the Topaz? ; I don't think we should worry about that now. ; Why? ; LOOK BEHIND YOU!!!
I spun around, but saw nothing. W: What are you talking about, Ozad? ; Just wait. Suddenly, a ferret appeared! Not just any ferret, though. THE ferret. "AAAAH!" I shouted. "What is it?" Erik asked, turning his head, and then screaming. Soon everyone was facing the evil ferret: Experiment # 824. "What IS that thing?" Jane asked. "It's the creature that attacked us a couple days ago!" Kayla exclaimed. "Genetons..." It grumbled. "Well, 824, I have to give you credit. I didn't expect you to survive being launched a few miles into the atmosphere!" I exclaimed. "Don't underestimate me. Now, would you like to see some of the powers I acquired since our last encounter?" 824 asked. "Make my day." I answered. "As you wish!" 824 exclaimed.
Suddenly, vines popped out of the ground and wrapped around us all! They began squeezing the life out of us. Kayla lit herself on fire, thus burning her vine and freeing herself. She charged at 824 with fists of flames (literally). "freeze." The creature demanded.
Suddenly, Kayla was encased in a block of ice! I guess the creature meant it when it said 'freeze'. I heard the sound of drills, and soon I fell down to the ground. Taylor and Tyler had cut themselves and me down. "Thanks, guys." I said. "Hey, we owe ya!" Taylor exclaimed. Erik turned into a spark and got free. "Will! Help!" Jane shouted. "Taylor! Tyler! Cut her down!" I exclaimed. They did. I looked over at Kayla, and saw that she was already thawing. "HEEEELP!!!" Serenity shouted. I generated 2 balls of electricity and threw them at 824. Each one forced him back a few inches and caused a bit of damage. It charged at Jane, most likely intending to take her power. That would NOT have been good. I jumped in front of Jane and caught the ferret in mid-jump.
Suddenly, 824 lit himself on fire, burning my hands! I quickly dropped him and screamed. I beat the flames out, and then Jane healed my burns. "Thanks." I said. "Ya'll don't mention it." She replied. I bunted the ferret high into the air, and Erik went after it in spark form. He started shocking the crap out of it. Eventually, it turned into a spark as well, and the 2 started crashing into each other. With each collision, thousands of little sparks went flying.
After a minute, one of the sparks went flying towards the ground. Just before crashing, it turned into the ferret. Erik came out of spark form and shouted, "PWND!!!" 824 leaped to its feet, looked at Jane and said, "Medicon... I NEED your power!" "What ever you do, don't let it get your face!" I warned. "I'd like to see 'im try!" Jane replied. "GUYS!!! I STILL NEED HELP!!!" Serenity shouted. Taylor ran over to her and cut her down.
824 started charging at Jane again. Suddenly, Tyler popped out of the ground right from beneath it, sending the ferret flying! "Nice work, Tyler!" I exclaimed. "No problem!" Tyler replied. Just as 824 was starting to come down, 2 fire balls hit it, forcing it to go higher into the air! Apparently, Kayla was done thawing. "OMNISCIENT SUMMONING!!!" I shouted. I appeared right above the creature and smashed it into the ground. I landed just a foot away from it.
All of a sudden, it jumped into the air and knocked me to the ground. It then did something REALLY painful: It pinned my arms down by driving its claws straight threw them and into the ground. Pain shot threw my arm, and blood started trickling out. I let out a scream of agony. "Does it hurt?" 824 asked. I nodded. "Not as much as THIS will." it said, and opened its mouth wide. I shut my eyes and waited for it to rip my face off.
Just then, I heard the creature yelp in pain, and I felt its claws fly out of my arms. Unfortunately, they didn't fly straight out. They came out diagonally, leaving HUGE gashes in my arms. "AAAAAH!!!" I shouted. "Ya'll don't be messin' with MAH boy friend!" I heard Jane shout. Then, the pain stopped. Thank goodness. I opened my eyes, and saw that Jane was kneeling over me. "You awright?" She asked. "Yeah... I'll be fine." I replied. "That looked darn right painful!" Jane exclaimed. "It was. Thanks." I said. "Ya'll don't need ta mention it." She replied, smiling.
"EAT DRILL FERRET!!!" I heard Taylor shout. Suddenly, there was a yelp from 824, but it was silenced quickly. I looked over at where the sound had come from, and saw that Taylor has just stabbed the ferret in the chest with his drill!
I looked back at Jane, sat up, and said, "Thanks again. Those claws hurt like Hell!" I exclaimed. "I'll bet! I'm so glad yer awright!" Jane exclaimed.
The next thing I knew, Jane pressed her lips against mine. At first it was kinda awkward for 2 reasons: 1.) I'd never kissed a girl before and 2.) It caught me completely off guard. But then, once my brain processed what was going on, I shut my eyes, wrapped my arms around her, and our lips moved beautifully together.
"All right, all right! Break it up you 2!" Erik exclaimed. I wanted to kill him for ruining my first kiss. Jane and I pulled away from each other and blushed. "ERIK!!! I just got my camera out!" Kayla shouted. Jane and I glared at the 2 of them. "Can you 2 do a redo of that kiss?" Kayla asked. "Not if you're gonna video tape us!" I exclaimed. Jane and I got up and joined the others. Serenity looked PISSED. "Come on, guys! We've got a Topaz to find!" I exclaimed.
