"Do we have to go right now?" Erik asked. "If we wanna be out of here before Serenity wakes up, then yes." I replied. "Fine, fine. Let's move." Erik said and jumped off the bed. O: You have time to say good bye to Lauren and your grandfather before we go. ; Okay, thanks. I ran out of the Electrode sleeping area and into the main lobby. I ran over to the door with no symbol on it at all, meaning it was meant for normal people. I opened the door and found that there were only 2 beds; Grandpa's and Lauren's. I woke up Lauren and said, "Hey, we're leaving now." "Do I have to stay here?" She asked. "It's not safe for you to travel with us. You could get hurt really badly!" I exclaimed. "Technically, I'm more likely to be found here, because there are WAAAAY more Genetons here." Lauren replied. "You know, that's actually a good point. Let me ask Ozad." I said. W: Ozad, could we bring her with us? Wouldn't this place be a lot easier to find because of all the Genetons that live here? ; No. The GHA is out to kill all Genetons, but right now their primary focus is you. Anyone who travels with you and Erik is putting their lives at steak, more so than staying here. Trust me. It's better this way. "I'm sorry, but you can't come." I told Lauren. "Why not?" She asked, making puppy dog eyes. "Right now, the GHA's main focus is Erik and I. You'd be safer here, because right now they're only searching for the 2 of us." I explained. "I don't care! You're my best friend, and I want to go with you!" Lauren complained. Erik walked in and said, "C'mon. We have to go!" "Erik, talk some sense into him! let me go with you guys!" Lauren said. "Did Ozad say it's okay?" Erik asked. "No." I answered. "Then no. Every time we don't listen to Ozad, something bad happens!" Erik exclaimed. "Phooey on Ozad! I'm coming, and that's final!" Lauren said. "No, you aren't." I told her. "Yes I am, and there's nothing you can do about it." Lauren replied, getting out of bed and stamping her foot on the ground. "Women." Erik grumbled. "I heard that." Lauren said, and then smacked him on the back of the head. "You really gotta stop doing that." Erik said, rubbing his head. "I'm sowwy." Lauren replied. O: Will, we're wasting too much time! Let's go! ; No... not without her. ; No! That'll only cause her harm! ; C'mon Ozad. It's pretty obvious that I'd be able to protect her from anything that comes our way. We're bringing her. "Ozad says it's okay for you to come with us." I lied. "YAAAY!!!" Lauren shouted, and started jumping up and down and clapping. "Really?" Erik asked. "Yup." I replied. O: You're so stubborn. ; Sorry. She's my best friend. ; You've barely known her for a day. ; What? You were never able to make friends this fast before? ; No, but that's besides the point. You aren't bringing her, and that's--- I decided to tune him out for awhile.
I woke up grandpa, said good bye, and then Lauren, Erik and I were on our way. "So, where we headed?" Lauren asked once we got out of the sewers. "Canada." I answered. "That's really far away." Erik said. "We could use Omniscient Summoning." I replied. "Do we have to? Can't we just enjoy the view once?" Lauren asked. "Sure, why not? I could use some excersize, anyways." I said. "So, what route should we take?" Erik asked. "We're gonna keep going until we hit flag staff, and then we'll stop and get some supplies there. After that, we'll go up into Utah and make a stop at Salt Lake City. When we leave there, we'll keep going until we get to Idaho Falls in Idaho. Once we leave there, it's a straight run to Lethbridge, Canada. I have a friend that lives there that could give us shelter for awhile." I explained. "Kayla?" Lauren asked. "Yup." I answered. "Is she a geneton?" Erik asked. "She's a Pyroid." I said. "What's a Pyroid doing in Canada?" Lauren asked. "Not sure." I replied. "Okay, that's enough chit chat. Let's go." Erik said.
I grabbed both of their hands, and bolted off north at 35 mph. We have a long road ahead of us.
Meanwhile, at the GHA HQ...
"What is the status of William and Erik?" The general asked. "Um, sir, it seems that they, uh..." A soldier began to say. "They what?" The general demanded. "Well, the thing is, they escaped." The soldier said. The General got up from his chair and asked, "HOW?!?" "I'm sorry sir. We aren't sure what happened. A few of our troops claim that one of them started glowing, and then started smashing a piece of the wall, but we aren't sure." The troop answered. "That's impossible! Those walls were 20 yards thick and over 2 miles high!" The General exclaimed. "I'm sorry sir, but there's no arguing that William and Erik are definitely out of Phoenix." The troop said. "Where are they now?" The General asked. "They're heading for Flagstaff right now." The soldier answered. "What are your orders, sir?" He asked. "Hmmm... send experiment 324 to cut them off." The general replied. "Experiment 324? But it hasn't been properly tested yet!" The soldier exclaimed. "I gave you an order, soldier. Send experiment 324, NOW!" The general shouted. "Yes, sir!" The soldier said, and then ran out of the room. "Let's see how you handle this one, Will." The General said to no one in particular.
High above Will, Erik, and Lauren...
"Hmmm... Impressive! He's more powerful than I originally thought!" Dazo exclaimed. He chuckled and said, "Once he gets all 7 Topazes, than I'll be able to have some fun!"
Back to the trio.
"Anyone hungry? I still have some of those berries from the other day." Lauren said. We'd been running for hours, and were now deep into the desert. "Sure, I'll have some." Erik said. I came to a halt so they could eat. "You hungry, Will?" Lauren asked. "No, I'm fine." I replied. Lauren pulled out a small pink purse and unzipped it. "Oops. The Topaz smushed them." Lauren said. She pretended to cry. "there there, it's okay. We all make mistakes." I said as I patted her on the head. "YAAAY!" She shouted. "Does anyone else have anything to eat? I'm starving." Erik complained. "Nope." Lauren replied. "Sorry." I said.
I was about to grab their hands again, but suddenly, the ground started shaking! "Who-o-o-o-oa!" Erik stammered. The shaking became to great, and we all lost our footing and fell to the ground. "W-w-w-w-w-what's g-g-g-going on-n-n-n-n?!?" Lauren asked. "E-E-EARTH QWAKE!" I shouted. "N-n-n-n-no... look!" Erik exclaimed, pointing north west. What we saw had us all in awe.
A big chunk of earth was slowly rising out of the ground! It kept growing, and growing, and growing, until it was the size of a small mountain! "T-t-t-that isn-n-n-n't p-possible!" Lauren exclaimed.
Suddenly, the shaking stopped, and the mountain stopped growing. Or at least, it stopped growing UP. After a moment, it started growing things such as legs, spikes, a tail, and a head! Once that was finished, it looked a lot like a stegasauras. It used its legs to lift its stomach off the ground, It looked down at us and let out a loud Gyaaaaoooooo!!!! "Holy shit." Erik, Lauren and I muttered in unison. Holy shit indeed. Ozad said.
