"Hold up. Why isn't this working?!?" I asked frantically. I'm not sure. Omniscient summoning is usually a reliable ability. I sence a malevolent force at work. "What do we do, Will?" Erik asked. "We can't fight them. There's too many! What do we do?!?" Lauren asked.
Meanwhile...
Dazo was floating high above the 3. He was focusing all his energy on the necklace to counter its ability of Omniscient Summoning. "If they're going to kill you, I want at least a part in it!" He exclaimed. A few birds flew towards him. Without breaking his concentration on the necklace, he discintigrated them with a single stare. "Hehehe. I pitty this planet and its pathetic life forms!" Dazo exclaimed.
At the GHA HQ...
"Sir, Will, Erik, and the girl have made it to Phoenix Arizona. What are your orders?" A soldier asked the general. "Kill Erik and the girl. Bring Will to me, so I can personally see him perish." The general replied. "Why kill the girl? She isn't a Geneton." The soldier said, confused. "I gave you an order, private! Do not question my authority!" The general shouted, turning to give the soldier an angry look. "Yes, sir!" The soldier replied, and ran out of the room.
"Man, this isn't good!" I exclaimed. The soldiers raised their guns, and prepared to open fire. One of them shouted, "Kill the girl and the blond boy! Take the black haired one and take him to the general." They were gonna kill Lauren and Erik! But why not me? Why was I so important? "Get behind me." I commanded them both. I generated 2 balls of electricity in my hands, and threw them as hard as I could at the closest soldiers. The balls each hit their mark, knocking out both soldiers. "Charge!" The commander exclaimed. "RUN!" I shouted. I grabbed Lauren by the arm, and she grabbed Erik, and then I ran as fast as I could from the on coming army. I looked back and fired as many electric balls as my free hand could generate. I watched as one by one, the soldiers fell and were trampled by their comrades. Stop! You're running straight into a--- Suddenly, several hundred tanks appeared on the horizon in front of us. We were surrounded from the front and back. ---trap. "What do we do?!?" Erik asked, fear filling his voice. "OMNISCIENT SUMMONING!!!" I shouted. "Come on! Work with me!" I demanded the necklace. "We're doomed!" Lauren exclaimed. "OZAD!!! HELP!!!" I shouted. There's nothing I can do! I barely have the strength to talk to you after creating that necklace!
"Hmmm... no, this isn't satisfying enough. I want to kill them. I won't let those soldiers do jack squat!" Dazo exclaimed. "It just isn't the same when someone else kills your enemies for you." With that, Dazo flew down, and reigned terror on the army of the GHA.
"WHAT'S THIS?!?" The general shouted, seeing as his tanks and soldiers were being destroyed. "Something is taking out our army, sir!" A soldier exclaimed. "I can see that! What's happening?" The general asked. "We aren't sure. It seems as though the Almighty himself is doing this!" The soldier replied. "Don't be ridiculous. This organization was started to kill Genetons BECAUSE God wanted us to. That theory is completey contradictory to what we believe in!" The general scolded the soldier for such a ridiculous claim. "Find out what's happening, now!" The general commanded. "Yes, sir!" The soldier said, and ran out. The general walked back to the screen and said, "You can pull any trick you like, Will. It will only delay your ultimate demise."
"What's happening?" Lauren asked. Soldiers and tanks were being taken out everywhere. "Not sure..." I replied. "Whatever it is, let's take the opportunity to get out of here while the soldiers are occupied!" Erik exclaimed. Soldiers and tanks were firing into the air, desperate to hit whatever it was that was killing them. Will, Erik, and Lauren made their way around the troops, and entered into Pheonix. "Don't you think that was a bit convenient?" Erik asked. Something tells me that we aren't safe, yet. I believe there is someone out there, trying to get you. Don't stop for too long, ok Will? "Got it." I replied.
Dazo stood in the middle of the wreckage. Every single troop and tank had been destroyed in bursts of flame. Dazo grinned and said, "Pathetic humans. Now, to destroy those kids... Although, they are pretty weak. Very well. I'll let them get stronger, so that it will be a bit more fun when I finally destroy them!" Dazo exclaimed. "OMNISCIENT SUMMONING!!!" He shouted, and vanished.
"DAMN IT!!! Those kids got away AGAIN. That's it. Time for operation lock down." The general said. "Operation lockdown?!? But sir! So many people will die!" A soldier exclaimed. "That doesn't matter! Those 2 need to be contained long enough for us to kill them! Commense operation Lock Down, NOW!" The general commanded. "But sir!" "No buts! I gave you an order, and you will follow that order, understand?" The general asked, annoyance and rage filling his voice. "Yes, sir!" The soldier exclaimed, and ran out of the room.
"So, where do we go, now?" Erik asked. "Let's go see my grandpa. I'm sure he'd be willing to let us stay for the night." I said. "So, where does he live?" Lauren asked. "This way." I said, walking down the route my family and I would always take to go visit my grandfather. "You sure you know which way you're going?" Erik asked. "Course I'm sure!" I replied. I suggest you run, Will. We should leave as soon as possible. "What's the rush? Either way, we leave tomorrow in the morning. Besides, I've been running all day, AND carrying these 2. I ain't running, even if you paid me!" I replied. So, Erik and I walked to my grandpa's house, while Lauren skipped next to us. "Skippidy skippidy skippidy skip, oh I love to skip!" She chanted over and over again. "She always like this?" Erik asked. "No, only when she's hyper." I replied. "Which is how often?" Erik asked. "Pretty much always." I answered. I smiled at her childishness, and continued walking. "Come on, guys! SKIP!" Lauren demanded. "Ok!" I exclaimed, and skipped along next to her. Erik just rolled his eyes and kept walking. Lauren jumped in front of him and shouted in his face, "YOU MUST SKIP!!!" "Okay, okay! I'll skip!" Erik exclaimed in terror.
"Will! It's great to see ya!" My grandpa exclaimed as he opened the door for us. He opened up his arms and I hugged him, hard. "Oh, that's quite a grip you got there!" grandpa said. I didn't want to let go of him. He was the last family I had! "And who are your friends?" my grandpa asked. I reluctantly pulled away and said, "This is Erik." putting my hand on his head. He was so short compared to me, I couldn't help it! "And this is my friend, Lauren!" I said, pointing to Lauren. "EEE!" Lauren said, waving hello and jumping up and down once. "Yeah, she's obsessed with the letter 'E'. Aren't you, Lauren?" I asked. "Yup! Yay!" She answered. "Well, come on in you 3! Wait a minute... where's your parents and sister?" grandpa asked. "Uh... may I use the bathroom?" I asked. Before he could answer, I ran past him and into the bathroom, and cried.
(3rd person.)
"Uh, Mr. Scott? I think it may be wise NOT to mention his family." Erik said. "And why not?" Will's grandpa asked. "What happened? He doesn't live where the fire was." Lauren said. "Wait, what fire?" Will's grandpa asked. "Half the city was completly burned down!" Lauren exclaimed. "Oh, I see. I'm sorry. But you say they weren't killed in the fire? Then where are they?" "Well, have you ever heard of the GHA?" Erik asked, expecting a 'no', or something of that sort. "Know em? I used to work for an organization that defended Will's kind against em!" Will's grandpa exclaimed. "Wait... you know that Will's a Geneton?" Erik asked, shocked. "So that's what they're calling em now? Genetons? Back in my day, they just called em freaks. And yes, I knew. I knew since the day that kid first visited me when he was 4! But what's the GHA got to do with Will's fami--- oh." Will's grandpa said, the truth dawning on him. "Yeah... so don't mention his family, ok?" Erik asked. "Wait, what happened?" Lauren asked, still confused. "Well, normally, if the GHA can't catch a Geneton, they go fer the Geneton's family, and well, you know." Will's grandpa explained. "Oh... That's really sad! Poor guy..." Lauren said, sympathizing with Will. "Well, let's get inside. You kids must be starving!" Will's grandpa exclaimed.
Will's grandfather gave them some pizza that he'd made ealier in the day. It was pepperoni and sausage, light sauce: Will's favorite. There were only 3 slices left, so Will's grandpa decided not to eat. Will came out soon after Lauren and Erik had finished their pizza, and he sat down between them, drying a tear from his eye. "Hey, you gonna be ok?" Lauren asked, concern and care filling her voice. "Yeah, I'll be fine." Will replied, and started picking at his pizza. "You're sure?" Lauren asked. "Yeah." Will said, smiling weakly at her. "Okay." Lauren replied, and dropped the subject. "You gonna eat that?" Erik asked. Will hadn't taken a single bite. He pushed the plate to Erik, and Erik started eating it. Lauren got up and smacked him on the back of the head. "Okay, I probably deserved that." Erik said. "Gee, ya think?" Lauren asked, angrily.
"So, you kids need a place to sleep tonight?" Will's grandpa asked. "Yeah." Erik said. "Well, we got 3 bedrooms, although one of them is mine and I prefer my privacy. So one of you will sleep alone, and the other 2 will sleep in the same room, k?" Will's grandpa asked. "Okay." The 3 friends said in unison. "I'm sleeping alone." Erik said. "Well then, I suppose that means you and I are sleeping together, huh Will?" Lauren asked. "Yeah. Let's get to bed, I'm really tired." Will replied, yawning as he said this.
When Lauren and Will walked into the bedroom, they expected to see a bunk bed. What they saw was a queen sized bed. "Ok, this is awkward." Will said. Lauren smacked him on the back of the head and said, "Don't be nasty!" "You see, this is why you will never prove to any one that you aren't a violent person." Will replied. "Sorry." "Eh, it's okay." Will said, and jumped onto the bed. Lauren crawled into the other side, and soon they were both asleep.
The next morning...
Will! Wake up! It's time to go! "Huh? What? What's going on?" I asked. It's 7 am! We have to go, now! "Okay, okay, I'm up." I said, crawling out of bed. "Lauren, wake up." I said. She didn't respond. I walked over to her and tickled her. "Okay, okay! I'm up!" Lauren exclaimed, laughing as she said this. "Thought that would wake you up." I replied. "Yeah well, now it's your turn!" Lauren exclaimed, looking at me evily. "Uh oh." I said. She pounced on me and started tickling all my ticklish spots. In other words, every where. I flailed around, trying to get up, but I couldn't "Okay! Okay! I give up!" I exclaimed. "Nope!" Lauren replied, continuing to tickle the crap out of me. "hahaha! stop it! hehe! Come on, Lauren, stop! hehehe! Let me go!" I exclaimed, laughing as hard as I could. "Uh, guys? You may want to come out here!" Erik exclaimed. He sounded worried.
Lauren and I walked outside, and our jaws dropped to the floor. "Oh. My. God." Was all I was able to say.
