Deep in the desert, 3 young children race across the terrain. Their mission is still unknown, even to them. All they know is to keep running, to stay hidden, and to stay alive.
"Will, I'm huuuuuuuungry!" Erik complained. "Okay, let's stop for a while, sit down, and eat the PB&J sandwiches we brought. Oh wait, we didn't bring PB&J sandwiches! Sorry!" I replied, irritably. "Sorry, just saying..." "Yeah, but you've been saying it ever since the sun came up. As soon as we get to Pheonix, we'll stop for a bite to eat. But until then, you're just going to have to pipe down and stop complaining!" I exclaimed. "I'm kind of hungry, too." Lauren said. I stopped and said, "Well, I suppose we could eat some prickly pears or something..." "Oh sure, stop for HER to eat something..." Erik grumbled. "Oh look, berries!" Lauren exclaimed, walking over to a small blue berry bush. "Wait, they might be poisonous. Erik, test one." I commanded. "WHAT?!? Why do I have to be the quinea pig?!?" Erik asked. "Because, Ozad doesn't know if they're poisonous, either." I replied. "But... but..." "No buts, just do it." I replied. Erik grumbled something under his breath, and picked one of the berries. "here goes nothing..." He said, shutting his eyes and opening his mouth. Are you sure this is a good idea, Will? "Course I'm sure!" I replied.
Erik popped the berry into his mouth. He chewed it a bit, smiled at the flaver, and swallowed. Suddenly, he grabbed his neck and started making choking noises! "Erik!" I shouted. "Nah, just fooling. They're fine!" Erik exclaimed. Lauren smacked him on the back of the head. "OW! What was that for?" Erik complained. "Get used to it. She does that to EVERYBODY." I answered. "Lauren, how many times must I tell you? You can't just beat someone upside the head like that!" I scolded her, jokingly. "I'm sowwy Will..." Lauren said, looking down. I patted her on the head and said, "Let's eat!" "YAAAY! I'm starving!" Lauren exclaimed, jumping up and down. "Is she always like this?" Erik asked. "You don't know the half of it." I answered. We sat down and started munching on the berries. Guys, I really think we should get moving. I was too hungry to listen.
Will, Lauren, and Erik were being watched by the general of the GHA. "DAMN IT! How did those 2 escape?!?" He asked, banging his hands against the screen. "I'm sorry sir. We aren't quite sure. We lost contact with the prison camp they were in last night, sir. We believe those 2 might be responsible, sir." A soldier standing at attention in the corner of the room replied. "And it appears they have a new Geneton friend. What is her power?" The general asked. "As far as we know, she's normal, sir." The soldier answered. "What are your orders, sir?" The soldier asked. "They're heading for Pheonix Arizona. I want every border of the city locked down; No one is getting in, or out. When you spot them, open fire." The general replied. "Yes, sir!" The soldier said, and then ran out of the room to pass on the order. "You can't win, Will. This time, you're MINE." The general said with hate filling his voice.
After eating our fill of berries, we packed the rest of the berries into Lauren's purse. "I wish we had my back pack. That thing could hold everything!" Lauren exclaimed. "She once convinced every 1st grader that her backpack was a portal to another world, and she could pull anything she wanted out of it." I whispered to Erik. "Yeah, no matter what I put in it, there always seems to be more room! Oh well, it's probably burned to a crisp by now, along with the... rest of... home..." She said, and burst out crying. "Hey, calm down. It'll be alright! You'll see!" I tried to comfort her. "B-b-b-but what about all of our friends? Like Tayler and Tyler, Lewis, Josh, Aimen? They're all gone!" Lauren exclaimed. "Lauren, don't worry! I'm sure they made it out fine!" I replied, but I had a bad feeling that I was being a bit too optimistic. I wrapped my arms around her, desperate to get her to stop crying.
Suddenly, something shiny caught my eye. "Oooh! Shiny!" I exclaimed. "Shiny? SHINY?!? Where?!?" Lauren asked frantically. "Over there!" I exclaimed, pointing towards a small green stone that had been partially burried. "SHIIIINYYYYY!!!" Lauren shouted, and pounced at it. "That cheered her up." Erik said. "She's a relatively happy person who gets distracted rather easily." I said. Lauren lodged the stone out of the ground, and stared at it, smiling. Incredible! How lucky can we get? "What is it, Ozad?" I asked. It's one of the 7 omni-topazes! What are the odds of it being here? "What's an Omni-Topaz?" I asked. A stone of incredible power. I believe it is like a 'chaos emerald' from one of your entertainment thingies... Sonic the hedgehog? yeah, that was it. "Sweeeeet." I said. "What's Ozad got to say about it?" Erik asked. "It's called an 'omni-topas'. There are 7 of them in the world. They're sort of like chaos emeralds from Sonic." I explained. "Awesome." "I don't care what it is! It's shiny!" Lauren exclaimed. "You're incredibly annoying, you know that?" Erik asked, sounding a bit tweeked. "EEE." She replied. "Uh..."
We put the rock in Lauren's purse, and continued running towards our destination. I really don't think it was wise for us to stop for so long. What if the GHA found us? "Hey, don't worry! We have the Omni-Topaz. What could possibly go wrong?" I asked.
Meanwhile, high in the sky, a man flew above the trio with an evil grin. "So, those are Ozad's Ozadians? HA! This should be easy! Once I defeat them, there will be nothing to stop me from finally destroying this pathetic quadrent. Hopefully, Trayzon, Covax, and Vinthrol have done their part in destroying the quadrents they're in. Then, I can finally build my own universe; One that worships me, and only me. Then all will see that I, Dazo, am better than Ozad!" He exclaimed. He laughed evilly, and continued to spy on the 3 children. "hehehe... It's only a matter of time." "The only problem is that they have the Topaz... but that will be fixed soon enough."
"Hey, is that the city?" Erik asked. "Yeah, I think it is! Let's go!" I exclaimed, running towards the city. I moved a bit faster in the hopes that I would finally get to rest my legs and arms. "Yeah, I can't wait to finally get some rest!" Lauren exclaimed. "You think you're tired? I've been carrying you and Erik, plus I've been running for almost a day!" I exclaimed, irritably. "Okay, sorry." "No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have snipped at you like that. Just a bit irritable after all this running..." I said. "Hey, it's okay. Thanks for all your efforts. You're doing great!" Lauren exclaimed. "YAAAAAY!!!" I replied. She giggled.
Our hopes were dashed when we got closer; The border was blocked by a bunch of police officers. The GHA. "What?!? How'd they find us?!?" I asked. I told you that staying put would be a bad idea. "Fantastic." I said.
"Uh oh. Looks like those 2 have reached the end of the line! I suppose the cops will kill them, and I can finally destroy this quadrent without worrying about anyone trying to stop me! Although, I was hoping to have a bit of fun..." Dazo said.
"How about we use Omniscient summoning to get around them?" Erik asked. I suddenly felt like an idiot. "My question is, why didn't we use Omniscient summoning to get here in the first place?" I asked. Lauren smacked me on the back of the head and shouted, "STUPID!!!" "Well, if we had done that, we never would have found the shiny." I said. "Yeah, that's a good point." Lauren said, and apologized for hitting me. "It's okay, I've grown to expect that sort of thing from you." I replied. "After you banged my head into the wall that one time, everything else has been nothing..." I muttered under my breath. "OMNISCIENT SUMMONING!!!" I shouted. Nothing. Uh oh.
