Planet Mech [26] Stranded

"Do you know where the rings are?" I asked the computer. "Earth." The computer replied. "Great, just great. I'm stuck on some planet at the very edge of the quadrent, and the only things that can get me home are AT home! This is fantastic, absolutely fantastic!" I exclaimed, kicking over a few metal boxes. "I fail to see what is good about this situation." The computer said. "Shut up." I told it.
All of a sudden, a thought struck me. "You know, it IS rather nice out there. Lots of scenery. Plants and mountains, and an ocean! And, why do I care about Earth, anyways? Why should I care about protecting those pathetic androids? What did they ever do for me that I owe them protection?" I asked myself. "Yeah... finally, I'll be away from all the pests on that puny planet! Finally, perfect isolation!" I exclaimed. I stepped out of the ship to get a good look at my new home. There were still some robot parts lieing around, but I could clear those away. "Paradise." I said. I looked up at the sky. The semi-invisible barrior between me and the Alpha Quadrent did well to distorte the colors of all the stars, so the night sky was filled with billions of different colors. "I could get used to this!" I exclaimed. I ran into the forest and began building a hut for myself to live in.
1 year later...
I had decided to call the planet Eden. Everywhere I went, I found endless joy in the things that I saw. One night, I was lieing in the grass, when all of a sudden, a huge shere appeared on the other side of the barrior! It was too large to be a moon, planet, or star. "Wow!" I exclaimed. A second later, 2 people appeared in front of the sphere. They looked as though they both had had access to the Nova Rings; Their hair was golden, their eyes were red, and energy radiated from their bodies, indicating some sort of Super Form. "We did it!" One of them exclaimed. His hair was plain gold, where as the other one had stripes of red. "All right!" The other exclaimed. Just then, the one with red stripes in his hair doubled over in pain. "X, are you alright?!?" The other one asked, concerned. "No... the Amethysts gave me too much energy... I don't know how much longer I can withstand the strain..." The one in pain said. Then, he slowly dissolved out of existence. The one with plain gold hair sighed, and then shouted, "SEPTINIAN WARP!!!" In an instant, he was gone.
"What was that all about?" I asked. "Ah well, not my concern. It's on the other side of the barrior, so why should I bother worrying about it?" I asked. I then shut my eyes, and fell asleep.
I found myself back in the temple with Ozad looking at me with shame. "What?" I asked. "You abandoned the Earth." Ozad replied. "Point?" I asked. "You have to go back." Ozad said. "2 problems with that: One, I lost the Nova Rings. 2: I don't WANT to go back." I told him. "It doesn't matter. You have a duty to protect that planet." Ozad replied. "I don't care! What has the people of that planet EVER done for me. They're all just a bunch of emotionless androids. I'm not going to waste my time on them!" I exclaimed. "Vinthrol will kill them. He has them on a path of self destruction." Ozad said. "So what? They aren't doing much with their lives, anyways!" I replied. "What about your friends?" Ozad asked. "What friends? Oh, you must be referring to those 3 imbecilles. Listen: I don't care, ok? They aren't my friends, and I don't care. Cody, Kyle, and Miles can take care of themselves." I replied. "Cody is dead." Ozad said. "So?" I asked. Ozad looked hurt. "Now see here: I don't care about the rest of the universe. As far as I know, every one it it is a traitorous bastard. I've been turned on by plenty of people; I now don't care about what happens to anyone." I explained. "When you were younger, you wouldn't be saying this." Ozad said. "Yeah well, a guy changes after seeing the only person he's ever loved die!" I shouted. "Did I not promise to bring her back?" Ozad asked. "Yeah, but I don't see that happening! I don't even think you CAN bring her back!" I replied, getting angrier and angrier. "Do not aggravate me." Ozad said. "Oh, I'm really scared! You seem to forget one thing: YOU AREN'T REAL!!! All you are is a flickering image of a man. I can stick my hand through you and nothing would happen! You think I'm afraid of something that is completely intangealbe? HA!" I replied. "You wish to see what I am capable of?" Ozad asked. "Make my day!" I said.
Ozad lifted his hand, and I fell to the floor. Suddenly, I rocketed up to the cieling! Then the wall, then the foor again, and so on. After a few minutes of this, he placed me on the floor. He started panting, and he had to sit down. "I did not wish to do that. I already have very little power as it is. However, you gave me no choice." Ozad said after catching his breath. I just groaned in agony. "You are an Ozadian. I do not understand how you could have become so selfish. The other 11 would have at least tried to find a way off this planet. They are not as self centered as you." Ozad said. "Yeah, well, next time I see the other 11, I'll be sure to get a few pointers on how to live my life." I replied. "You just saw 2 of them." Ozad replied. "Just out of curriosity, what were they doing, anyways?" I asked. "Saving their home world from that giant sphere." Ozad said. "My point exactly. They go out of their ways to be heroes, and one of them dies because of it. I'm through playing the role of a hero. Get one of the other Ozadians to do this." I replied. "You are the only one in this quadrent." Ozad said. "Well, then I guess the Earth is screwed over." I said.
"Why do YOU care about them, anyways?" I asked after a minute. "I am a king; I have a responsibility to them." Ozad answered. "King of what? I don't know who in the right mind would follow a flickering image." I said. "To answer your first question, I'm king of the ascended beings. For the second, need I remind you of what I am capable of?" Ozad answered. "No." I replied. "And yet you still resist?" Ozad asked. "Yes." I said. "Fine, I suppose there is only one way to convince you." Ozad said.
Suddenly, another person flickered into existence. I knew who it was. "Lauren?!?" I asked with disbeliefe. The girl nodded. "Please, William, you have to try. I beg of you! If not for them, then do it for me. I love you." Lauren said. "I love you, too." I replied. Memories came flooding into my brain, and I nearly cried at what had been lost. "Then please, try to save them!" Lauren exclaimed. Then, Ozad snapped his fingers, and Lauren vanished. "Bring her back!" I demanded, holding back tears. "I cannot. I barely was able to do it just now." Ozad said. I cried. "Did THAT convince you to go back?" Ozad asked. I dried my tears, and then said, "You bet." "Good. My advice: Try the necklace." Ozad said.
Suddenly, I found myself lieing on the ground. "Lauren... Don't worry, I WILL do this." I said into the wind, and ran off to find the ship.
