We jumped out of Hyper Space after about 30 seconds. "Computer, where are we?" I asked, pointlessly. I knew the coordinates were set to Tosania. "Unknown." The computer replied. "What?" I asked, confused. "How could you not know? We set the hyper drive to take us to Tosania!" I exclaimed. "I realize that. However, while in Hyper Space, something interfered." The computer replied. "Who?" I asked. "Unknown." The computer said. "The ship that interfered does not belong to any government. It is stolen." It continued. "Well, take us to Tosania!" I demanded. "I am afraid that is impossible. Something is jamming the hyper drive." The computer answered. "Well, how long will it take to get there just by flying?" I asked. "At maximum speed of Warp 23, we can get there in 20 years." The ship replied. Warp 23=(23^63) times the speed of light. "Wow, we're far. If I didn't know about the barriors in the universe, I'd say we're in a different quadrent!" I exclaimed. That of course, is impossible. "Distance between ship and the alpha quadrent: 5 inches." The computer said. "Wow." I said. Still in the Beta Quadrent, but on the very edge.
All of a sudden, the moniter turned on. Vinthrol was contacting me. "Vinthrol, you did this, didn't you?" I asked, angrily. "Such anger in you. What ever happened to the nice little boy that you were?" Vinthrol asked. "He's dead, and you'll be joining him soon enough. Now, send me back to Tosania, before I crush your tiny head!" I threatened. "No need to go to Tosania. The distress call was fake. I just needed you to jump into hyper space so that I could take something of mine back!" Vinthrol replied. "What's on this ship that could possibly belong to you?" I asked. "The Nova Rings." Vinthrol replied. "What are you talking about? Those are mine, and you know it!" I exclaimed. "On the contrary. In the labrynth, you personally handed me the rings!" Vinthrol exclaimed. "What are you talking about?" I asked, rage surging through every vain of my body. "I asked for the rings, and you gave them to me. That makes them mine. I don't know how your little friend managed to take them away, but I know that I'll get them back." Vinthrol explained. "Over my dead body." I replied. "That could be arranged. There's an army of robots waiting for you outside your ship." Vinthrol said. "Your Vinthrol bots? Oh please, gimme a break. Those things are about as tough as a bowl of yogurt." I replied. "No, not Vinthrol bots. I have a new model, one much more powerful. You have 2 options: Hand over the rings and I kill you quickly and painlessly to avenge Trayzon and Covax, or my army kills you slowly and painfully to avenge them. Either way, I end up with the rings." Vinthrol said. "Or, option 3, I kick yours and your army's ass and keep the rings. I highly doubt the other 2." "And who are Trayzon and Covax, anyways?" I asked. "Brothers that YOUR alternates killed." He said. His image flickered out of existence.
I walked to the ship's door and opened it up. I gasped, and took a step back. "WHAT THE?!?" I shouted.
An army of robots looking like ME was waiting outside the door! "Do you like my army?" I heard Vinthrol's voice ask from somewhere in my head. "I'm flattered, not impressed.... Wait, how are you talking to me?!?" I asked. "You and I are closer than you may think. I would say that all will be revealed in the future, but seeing as you have no future, well, you get the point." His voice said.
I charged at one of the robots, pulled out an energy blade, and chopped its head off. The head grew back. "Ah shit." The robot punched me in the gut, sending me flying into the ship. "Grrr... NOVA BLAST!!!" I shouted. An orange and yellow ball of energy appeared in front of me, flew towards a cluster of robots, and exploded. The pieces put themselves back together. "NOVA DODGE!!!" I shouted. I appeared behind one of the robots, and attempted to grab its arm. It spun around me and knocked me into another William bot. It kicked me into the air.
As I flew, I pulled out my machine guns and opened fire. Same results as before. Bazukas, same effect. Lasers, same. Nothing was killing these things! "Man, this isn't any good!" I exclaimed. I landed in the middle of a circle of robots. They piled on top of me. Man, was I getting pissed off! I couldn't do anything but submit to them.
(3rd person.)
Suddenly, the pile of robots rocketed into the air, and were discintigrated. William was gone, and had been replaced by Shadow. The necklace that had contained Shadow was lieing on the ground. Shadow laughed meniacally, "Ha! I knew that necklace couldn't hold me forever! Those things never can." He said, his voice sounding like it was mixed with that of a snake. "Pathetic androids." He said, and discintigrated a few of them with a ray of black energy. Some robots tried to attack him, but he wouldn't let them; He lifted his hand, and the energy was sucked right out of them. "Ooh, that feels good! Yes, more Energy!" Shadow exclaimed, with lust in his voice. He started draining the robots of their energy, and was growing more and more powerful. Soon, every robot lay dead on the ground. "Pathetic. Is that all the old man can come up with? HA! I'll show him!" Shadow exclaimed.
Just then, the necklace jumped back to life. "Ah shit. Not again." Shadow muttered. He tried flying away, but the necklace was too fast for him. "Grrr... GET THIS DAMNED THING OFF OF ME!!!" Shadow shouted, desperately clawing at the necklace which was now wrapped around his neck.
In the next instant, Shadow had been replaced by William. Seeing as he was a few inches off the ground when this happened, he fell to the floor with a thud. "Wow, that guy sure comes in handy! I don't know who he is, but he's an enemy of Vinthrol and that's all that matters!" William exclaimed. Little did he know that Shadow was an enemy of EVERYBODY. He just hates Trayzon, Covax, Vinthrol, and Dazo even more.
(William's point of view.)
"To bad he only comes out sometimes." I sighed. "You fool. You actually think he's on your side?" Vinthrol's voice asked. "Well, he sure seems to oppose you." I replied. "So unwise. Why do you think Ozad keeps him concealed with that necklace?" Vinthrol asked. "Not sure. But, he's Ozad, and I'm sworn to do what he says." I said. "Such a fool." Vinthrol said. "How are you talking to me, anyways?" I asked, annoyed that he was in my head. "All will be revealed in the future." Vinthrol replied. "And who are Trayzon and Covax? And your master Dazo?" I asked. "Dazo. Those 3, I doubt you'll ever meet." Vinthrol said.
Just then, he appeared in front of me. "Bout time you decided to show your face, coward." I said. "Are you ready to die?" Vinthrol asked. "You keep asking that. It never happens." I said. "Don't forget. I'm FAR more powerful now." Vinthrol replied. "We'll just have to see about that!" I exclaimed.
I tapped into the power of the rings, transforming into my Ultra form. "Oh yeah! Now I'll show you!" I exclaimed. "How cliched. Who do you think you are, Sonic the Hedgehog?" "Ha! Super Sonic is NOTHING compared to me!" I exclaimed, charging at him. He just smiled. As I flew towards him, I threw a punch, hitting him square in the head.
He didn't even flinch. "What?" I asked in disbelief. "Did I not warn you? I am FAR more poweful." Vinthrol said. He uppercutted me, sending me high into the air. He appeared above me and knocked me to the ground. I got up, and fired a ball of Nova Energy at him. He backhanded it, and it crashed a few hundred yards away. "Grrr... NOVA DODGE!!!" I shouted.
Now would be a good thing to point out that Nova Dodge is NOT teleportation; I just move REALLY fast. This is bad. As I was flying towards Vinthrol, his eyes flashed red. Instantly, if one had been watching, I would have been standing still compared to him. He knocked me to the ground again. I grunted, and passed out.
(3rd Person.)
William's necklace has more powers than JUST concealing Shadow. It began glowing, and the Nova Rings started to swell. William rose to his feet, more power surging through him than before. "Well, this should be interesting." Vinthrol said. William chuckled, and in an instant was right behind Vinthrol. William knocked him to the ground. William flew down, and started pile driving Vinthrol into the ground. A wave of energy blasted from Vinthrol's body, sending William flying. William stopped himself in mid-air, and rocketed back. He punched Vinthrol in the forehead, this time sending Vinthrol in the opposite direction.
"Grrr... you win this time. Good bye." Vinthrol said, and then vanished. The necklace's light faded, and William landed gently on his feet. The rings slipped off of his fingers, and each used Nova Dodge to scatter themselves. "Well, so much for that." William muttered, and returned to the ship.
(William's point of view.)
"Computer, how much energy is left? Is there enough to get back to Earth?" I asked. "Negative. The Nova Rings are absent." The computer replied. "Sonofabitch!"
