"Donald!"

a little girl with bright red curly hair came running down the stairs and into Donald's leg.

"your home!"  he picked her up and placed her on her hip.

"yes Lucy i'm home."

"whos that?"  she pointed at me.

"thats my friend Hayley. shes going to spend the night. "

"like a sleepover?"

"yup."

"yay!"

she ran back upstairs.

"sorry about that. im her favorite person right now."

i giggled.

"right now?"

"well last week it was Barney, because they taught a new dance on the show, and on Monday i gave her an ice cream cone, so now im her favorite person."

i felt a tug at my leg. i looked down. it was a little boy, he looked about 3 years old. he raised his arms above his head, motioning that he wanted up.

"why who is this cutie?"

i picked him up.

"this little guy is Dylan." 

"how many kids do you have?"

"ummmm there should be about 3 more kids running around."

"wow, wheres your mom?"

"she should be home about 6."

"ok, do you need help with anything?"

"you can play with the kids, if you want."

"hey kids come here!"

all of a sudden i could hear running all upstairs. 4 more kids with bright red hair came running the stairs.

"ok guys this is Hayley. shes going to stay with us for a while. ok Hayley this is Max." he pointed to the tallest boy "this is Aribelle." he pointed to the girl next to Max. "her and Max are twins. this is Andrea." he pointed to the smaller girl next to Aribelle. " and you already know Lucy and Dylan. guys i want you to be nice to Hayley while i make dinner. Max, if Hayley needs help, please help her."

Max rolled his eyes. "yeah whatever."

Aribelle hit his arm "be nice."

Donald walked off the make dinner. i sat on the couch with Dylan still in my arms. i started to play peek-a-boo with him. about 5 minutes into the game Lucy camr over and sat down next to me.

"you know he likes it when you tickle him."

"thank you. i didn't know that." i leaned Dylan over my lap and tickled his belly. he giggled loudly.

"so Lucy, where do you go to school?"

"i go to Silver Gate Elementry. im in 1st grade."

"i went there when was your age." Lucy looked shocked.

"KIDS DINNERS READY!"
