    "Wow, this sure is a big place," I whispered to myself. I had finally gotten past the guards outside the King's castle. The only reason I did it was because my little brother and sister were starving. They were ill and weak, and hopefully still sleeping in our hut in the village of Sequerrian.

    The tapestries in the palace were huge and very intricate. As I travelled slowly and quietly through the halls, I could not help but stop and gaze, I was awestruck by them. One in particular caught my attention. It was a scene of a knight astride a massive dragon. The man's helmet was nowhere to be seen within the picture, revealing his strikingly handsome face. His plate mail was was smudged with dirt and soot, yet it still shined brilliantly. The dragon, on the other hand, was an ugly beast. It's long snout had spikes protruding all around, an it's eyes were a menacing green hue. The wings, an obsidion black, were folded gently to its sides at rest. It's body was a dazzling purple and it seemed to shimmer when view from just the right angle. I smiled at the tapestry and continued sneaking around.

    I turned so many corners within the next few hours, or at least it seemed that long, that I was quite sure that I was in some absurd rat maze. Right, left, left, right, right, right, left... it was so tiring! I wished I had brought along a lunch or something.

    Then, after a lot more twists and turns, I finally found a lit room. It smelled of cooking meats, fruit, steamed vegetables, and many other edible delights. The door was cracked open enough to send a soft glow onto the hard stone floors, showing off all it's cracks and bumps. I had to inspect it, for my brother and sister were waiting at home.

    As I approached I heard a conversation quietly in process within. I leaned as far as I dared toward the door, and listened in on the rather fascinating conversation. Well, it wasnt all that attention getting, but I had nothing else to do, and I hoped they would leave soon and leave me to gather the leftovers.

    "My dear son, she is a Princess! You must marry her! Your father and I don want you to stay single," the woman spoke quietly in a shrill and obviously irritated manner.

    "I refuse to marry a complete stranger, mother," a young man's voice answered firmly and calmly.

    "Henry, you must. It is expected of the Prince to marry before his coronation." The woman's voice was weak as she responded.

    "Is it a law for a Prince to marry before a coronation?"

    "Well, no... it is not, but-"

    "Mother! This is England! I will not marry a Fench Princess! I do not care about her race, she is probabely a fine girl, but I will marry a woman I love, or I will stay single."

    "We shall see what your father thinks of that, my son," the woman, the Queen!, responded. At that, the two within rose and walked toward the door I was eavesdropping from!

    This would not be good unless I could get away quickly, or come up with an excuse...
