Just Try to Guess [five]

"Okay any guesses," I said as Danika and Genevieve sat in a bit of confusion.

"Okay its either Mikayla, Nicole or Charlie" Genevieve said. I knew her reason was that I couldn't possibly have a boyfriend. Even though Faith's boyfriend Robbie was the only type of guy I didn't hate. But why would I tell them that, why make it too obvious. So I just glared making it known that her reason angered me.

"You talk about Mikayla oo much, you're trying to trick us," Danika said. Could I really help it if Mikayla was more exciting than the rest of us. "It's totally Charlie." I rolled my eyes at the thought of being Charlie.

"I know Quinn is not that desperate," Genevieve said as if she knew everything, " she must be Nicole, I mean You're real smart." she turned to me for approval of the comment. I nodded because I am smart.

Anyways i continued on with the story.

It was Thursday evening Nicole was on AIM, Faith was doing homework in her room, Charlie was walking in the mall and we really don't know why, and nobody really knew what in the world Mikayla was doing they never did.

At 7:23 exactly Nicole got an IM, Faith got a phone call and Charlie ran into someone who needed to talk to her.  The IM from Robbie, the call from Jack, and  Charlie ran into Matthew.

The message poped up on Nicoles screen.

Robisawesome999(7:23 PM): Hey

Nickybaby24/7(7:25 PM): Oh hey Robbie, Faith isn't at my house today.

She wrote this without really thinking. She oonly got texts from Robbie when he needed to know where Faith was.

Robisawesome999(7:26 PM): I actually wanted to ask you something?

Nickybaby24/7(7:26 PM): Yeah what?

Robisawesome999(7:27 PM): Well, I want to give Faith a really great valentine present, but i don't know what to do?

Nickybaby24/7(7:29 PM): Well, she loves simple cute cards, but by cute i don't mean the 'funny' one that are rude and annoying. I mean like seriously cute, actually make her one she'll appreciate it.

Robisawesome999(7:31 PM): But I want to do more than just that, what about a balloon or decorating the locker like Herman did for Veronica.

Nickybaby24/7(7:34PM):Eww, she would hate that its to cliche, and Mikayla has convinced everyone in our group corny is bad. And balloons pop, but you can't go wrong with candy.

Robisawesome999(7:34 PM): So chocolate?

Nickybaby24/7(7:36PM): No, she hates chocolate, licorice. She loves that. Trust me.

Robisawesome999(7:36 PM): k thanx

And that was the extent of the conversation. But as this conversation began so did Faith and Jacks phone call.

"Hello," Faith said while chewing gum and laying down on her bed. Imediatly after she said this she put it on speaker phone so she could continue looking at the ceiling.

"Hi, its Jack." He was listening waiting for response and in the silence he felt need to explain who he was, "you know the football player that Nicole is tutoring."

"Oh yeah wats up?" she asked, she wasn't quite sure why she recieved this phone call.

"I'm calling, because I want to know about Nicole. I don't know why but I keep thinking of her," he said as if he was a sensative guy.

Faith started to laugh and asked, "are you thinking about her or what happened saturday." He acted confused and let out a huh, but Faith saw right through it. "Oh don't play dumb i heard the towel story."

"Well, that was memorable," he started and heard Faith let out an mhmm, "but theres something about her shiness and the way she doesn't seenm to like me that gets to me."

"And what exactly do you want me to do," Faith asked.

"Tell, me what to do how to win her over," he said.

"You know, I'm not really that close to Nicole out of everyone she's closest to Mikayla. You should ask her." Faith said in all honesty Nicole and Mikayla were in contact almost all the time.

"Well, I tried Mikayla. But she said she doesn't associate herself with scum like me," jack said a little confused.

"That sounds like her," Faith said with a little giggle. "And you have a lot of work to do cuz Mikayla is a strong influence on Nicole. You just have to prove Mikayla wrong about you."

"So, I do have a lot of work to do?"he said with a sigh.

"My advice do it when she can't find Mikayla. At a large social gathering, like a party" Faith said. She thought to herself a moment about what she had done. "Oh and we don't speak of this conversation," she said and hung up quickly.

Lastly Charlie ran into Matthew at the mall, "God are you always here," she said in disgust knowing since Mikayla didn't like him she shouldn't either.

"I'm here hoping to run into someone i can talk to," he said. He always had a smooth way of talking and in Charlies opinion was very persuasive. Charlie didn't like him anymore than anyone else, but that didn't stop her from thinking he was cute.

"And you want to tak to me," she said confused and she pointed to herself in astonishment.

He shook his head and said, "No I want to talk to your friend, but i figure your close enough."

"You do realize Mikayla doesn't like you right," she asked only pointing out the obvious.

"Umm, a blind man in outerspace could see Mikayla doesn't like me, infact that same guy could see that Mikayla doesn't really like anyone," he said.

"Then why do you push, your not making it any better for yourself," she said rolling her eyes at his previous comment.

"Cuz, she is hot and shes got a fire about her," he said smirking. The answer coming out of his mouth was not a surprise to Charlie who just shook her head as if to say no. "No I mean she is so hot, she could have like any guy if she wanted to."

"Don't i know it, she's gorgeous and she doesn't even care," Charlie said a bit mad. She had always been a tad jealous of Mikayla.

"Yeah, I'm sure you do," he said not even caring that Charlie was a bit upset, "Why is she so bitter?"

"I've never understood that about her, i think its cuz she thinks it repels guys cuz shes so difficult." she says. She looks at his face after the answer and for some reason he was smiling.

"She is so wrong, it just makes her so much hotter," he said.

"Well, I don't know what goes on in Mikaylas mind, but if i were you i would give up. Her shell has never been cracked before," she said.

He looked away smirked got up and said, "If anyone can i can." She rolled her eyes, but he didn't turn back to notice it.

The next day at school both Faith and Nicole kept their conversations private, but Charlie thought it would be best to share what she knew. "Did you know Matthew thinks your hot, and he is totally into you," Charlie said.

"Charlie a blind bear could see that he is into me and who can blame him," Mikayla said smiling about how amazing she was.  She then realized the conversation was becoming silent and decided to add, "but there is no way i would ever get with him."

"I don't know, you two have a lot in common," Charlie said.

"Like what," Mikayla asked angrily.

"Your both blunt, mean and stubborn as hell. And you guys even use similar phrases," she said. Mikayla just shrugged it off and went on to her homeroom.
