Condemned From The Start Pt.4

Horror Created on 8-16-07 Views(77) Story Rating G

Part 5           Eve rolled her eyes at the pathetic sight; humanity was a poor wish, for it only lasted a blink in the eye of a Vampire. She was growing agitated of the pathetic girl on the ground, named Julia. She was ruining her plans, Julius would die tonight whether Julia interfered or not. He had to! Julius had no right at all in this world. He was a man worse than a monster.           Eve could smell the fresh blood around Julia’s lips while she quietly sobbed on the ground. She had no problem being a Vampire. If she had, her diet wouldn’t have included that boy she’d portrayed earlier.  Something in the air made Eve nervous, she cautiously let her blades come forward. The small click echoed in the night, making everyone halt. Dark cloaked figures withdrew from the shadows, standing in an eerie silence that went on forever. She could feel the twinge of guilt radiating from Julia, as the girl stood.            They circled us, coming in space enough for Eve to see horribly scarred faces underneath. One close by chuckled and withdrew his hood, “Julius, how are we tonight?” His deep rich voice protruding from a boy no older than seventeen. No scares masked his young face. He stepped forward and placed a pale unmasked hand on Julia’s shoulder. “Julia, you know better than to play with rats.” Julia flinched and secluded herself from the orange glow of the lights. “Remove you weapons, Day walker!”            Eve pulled the cool blades from her wrists and set them on the ground in front of him. “Seriously, this isn’t necessary.” Eve smirked, “What makes you think that I truly need these?” It was a question he chose not to answer but he laughed, it rang into the night like a large bell making bones chill slightly.            She could hear him suppress a growl while he stepped forth, “Seize her and the traitor, Julius.” Eve smiled at the cautiously advancing cloaks. She crouched and slowly pulled out her other blades and scimitar.            Eve wound it around her head and jammed it between the ribs of a cloak. He groaned in pain and crumbled beneath her. The others stopped and looked at the mere boy controlling them, for an answer. She gave them an answer, fight or die, painfully!            Eve whisked her blade past their head and buried it deep into the face of another cloak. How many were there? She chopped and diced the cloaks until only three remained. The boy, one holding Julius by the neck, and another that advanced from the shadows holding Julia. Her frightened face betrayed their intentions.            Eve whisked the blade once more and jabbed it in the cement with a loud deafening crack. “Play time over I suppose?” No one moved, Eve picked up a bit of dirt and rolled it around her hands. She stood and wiped her hands on the hem of her jeans.            Eve could feel the faint sounds of the cloak behind Julia. His breath was ragged and thinned. Eve tilted her head and watched him wither to the ground. He wheezed and fell still. Even without her blades she was unstoppable. Looks definitely could kill; she had first hand knowledge.           “I believe it to be in your best interest,” she smiled at the scared cloak behind Julius. “To drop your grip from him!” The boy glared at the cloak and he stood firm. “Suit yourself!” Eve smiled at him; her eyes grew a darker shade of maroon. She ripped her blade from the ground and stalked toward him. He shook with fear, as she raised her blade. With a fell swoop, his neck gushed with blood. It poured down the front side of his cloak and puddled on the ground. He fell with a splash and stopped breathing.           Her stare held the cloak cowering in fear, the boy moved up behind Eve and grabbed her. Eve sighed; this was just down right stupid. He wrapped his arm around her neck and removed most of her weapons. Eve laughed, “Seriously that won’t help you! Your already dead, Desmond.” The boy stopped and grazed his fangs along her neck.            “How do you know my name?”            “You told me. I can see your darkest fears, your hopes, loves, and just about everything else going on up hear.” Eve lightly tapped her head. She concentrated on him long enough to open locked doors in Desmond’s mind.            He cried out in pain, Eve stalked his brain like a spider does their web. She picked and prodded it for anything useful before she killed him. He dropped his grip and ran into the night. Eve smiled, he’d be back, she could already sense him thinking it. She turned towards Julius and Julia, “So where were we?”
