"Shhhhhhh. Someone's coming.
Tori held her index finger over her lips, indicating to Josh and Samantha that they were to stop talking.
What do you mean someone's coming? We are the only ones who know about this place!

Josh Dawson had been known for saying silly and stupid things. He was very tall and goofy-looking, and that didn't help his reputation either. He always wore his short brown hair in a mess, and always wore T-shirts that were two sizes too big for him.
Josh. Don't be stupid. You know that we weren't the ones who discovered this place! It was here long before we found it!

Samantha Martino was right. She'd always been right. Tori had only found this place out because she had wanted to run away once when she was eleven years old. Since then, her and two of her best friends had used it for their monthly meetings. You know, just for fun. Every four weeks on the Friday. It was an old shack out in the bush about two blocks from Tori's house. And Samantha and Josh lived nearby too.

They all went silent, and listened. They weren't deaf. They heard the unmistakable sound of footsteps heading right towards them, and Tori switched off her torch. The crunching of dead leaves and sticks stopped just metres before the front door, and the three of them sat, terrified, in the corner of the old shack. They clutched their jumpers or jackets tightly around them for warmth. Then, there were the voices of two men.

"Are you sure no one will find us here?"
"I'm positive. The old shack still looks like no one's used it since we were here last, five years ago so what are the chances of someone coming up at this very moment?"
"True. So, where is it?"
"Here. But you know your end of the bargain, so hand over the cash, and I'll give you the plan."
Tori listened carefully. So did Josh and Samantha. The men that were just outside the shack sounded very mysterious, as they were talking fairly quietly with their deep, droning voices. They all listened very carefully but the men's voices were just mumbles over the ringing of their ears. Tori knelt up so she could see over the windowsill, and peered through the foggy pane looking at the shadows of the mysterious figures.
"Tori", whispered Samantha. "They'll see you."
But Tori wasn't listening to Samantha. She was listening to the men outside, who appeared to be wearing masks, or some sort of beanie over their heads.
"Good. So, here it is. You'll have two men at the fire escape out the back. Three out the front and ready for attack, and then there will be you, who will be at the counter with a gun."
"A gun? I've never held a gun in my life!"
"What? You're about to rob one of the biggest producers of money in the country. And you've never even held a gun before!"
"Well, all the robbery's I have done have been break-ins. There was never any need for a gun!"
"Well, you better find one quick, because if you really want the cash, there is no other way!"

Tori was stunned. She'd never felt so scared, yet excited and interested at the same time. Samantha and Josh just sat still in the corner, and watched as the moonlight flooded the dusty palings with light. Tori still listened.

"After you find yourself and your men a gun, here's what you'll do. The men at the back fire exit will go up the staircase and go straight to the security office, which holds all the security cameras. According to the original architectural designs, the room should be located here."
One of the men pulled out a large piece of paper, supposably a map, and pointed to the upper left-hand corner. This man was much taller than the other was, and he was a lot thinner too. The second man was short and chubby.

"The two men will hold the security guards hostage and switch all the cameras off. After they do this, they will page you and that's when you come in."
"And what will I do?"
"You walk up to the counter just as a casual person, but you will have a disguise. We'll figure it out later. When you hold the gun up to the counter person, the three men outside will come in and make sure none of the people in the bank get out and tell the cops. And then, you know the rest. You demand, from them, all the money behind the counter, all the money of the customers, and the location of the Master Safe. Think you can handle it?"

Tori's knees were hurting now, but for all she knew, the floorboards could break any second. Now not being the best time for a loud incident. She ducked under the windowsill and sat, gently, against the wall underneath it. Samantha whispered from the other corner.

"What are they talking about?"
"A bank robbery! They're thieves. I am pretty sure they are planning to rob the MerrickVille Bank, where your mum works. It's known to be one of the largest bank's in the country, isn't it?"
"For sure. Do they seriously think they could rob a bank of that size?"

"They sound like they know what they're doing. They've got guns involved."
"What should we do?"
Nothing exciting ever really happens to Tori. She was just your average teenager. But for once in her life, she felt like an adrenelin rush. She had a craving for danger.

"Well, I say we slip out the back door and head straight for the cops. Make sure we do it quietly, otherwise they'll see us, and who know what they'll do to us! Murdering three little Year 12 students will be a piece of cake for these guys!"
"Okay. Josh, you go first!"
Josh, stood up, ever so quietly, and started to sneak towards the back door. He was very tall. The floorboards creaked as his sneakers left footprints along them. His shadow was looming across the floor and up the wall, as the men continued to have a mumbling conversation outside. He reached for the old, wooden doorknob, and slowly turned it until the door was beginning to open. The door squeaked a little bit as Josh pushed the door outwards, but the men were too busy to notice.
