The plane bounced in the air, like it was landing. The flashing seatbelt flashed above Bobby and his little sister Sarah. Bobby looked out the window. The sky was dark and every now and then, it would be lit up by a strike of lightning. Sarah's seatbelt clanked into the metal contraption. Then Bobby's did the same.

The pilot's voice came on. "Ladie's and gentlemen, we are experiencing a patch of turbulence. It should be over soon, but for the time being, please latch your seatbelts and don't get up to go to the bathroom. I will tell you all when it is safe to unhatch and move around." It went off. Bobby saw the worry in his little sister's face.

"It's going to be alright Sarah, trust me," he said to comfort her. She stared up at him, her brown eyes twinkling. He pushed her hair that overhung on her face behind her ears. He gave her a smile, and she returned one. There was worry in it, like it was a forced smile.

"Are you guys alright?" Their mom, Maggie asked from a row behind them. She was leaned forward in her chair.

"Yea we're fine," Bobby anwered.

"Yea, we're fine," Sarah repeated.

"Okay. Just wake me if you need anything." She flopped back into the coach plane seat. She leaned her head on her already sleeping husband. Her eyes closed, and shortly after she dozed off. The plane bounced again, this time harder.

"Bobby," Sarah grabbed her brother's hand. As it bounce again, sending Bobby into the air, until his seatbelt jerked him back down onto the seat. The plane's lights flickered. A row of screams were heard. A baby was crying a few rows back. His mother and father were awake. Sarah was crying. It jerked up again, sending the crying baby out of the mother's arms. She screamed as her hands whipped through the air to reach for her baby, but the baby hit the floor. It cried out in pain.

"Sammy!" Bobby heard the mother yell. She reached down and grabbed him before he was sent rolling.

"Bobby! Bobby!" Sarah was hyperventilating.

"Calm down!" Bobby screamed in a calm way, just so he could be heard over the crying. The lightning from outside lit the whole plane. Then a roaring noise came from the back of the plane. It sounded like an engine. Then a bolt of lightning must've swiped the plane wing, because the plane started flying diagonly. The roaring quit finally, but the plane started to decrease in height. Bobby could it going down.

Their mother slammed her hand on Sarah's shoulders. "Calm down honey!" She yelled. "Quit crying!" But it was hard to convince her daughter to quit crying when she had tears of her own falling out of her eyes. Bobby's stomach was turning with nervousness.

"Both of you need to calm down! It's just turbulence!" When he said this, the plane starting to slant. Baggage flew everywhere. As another bolt of lightning swept the side, the plane went into a straight nose dive. Bobby screamed.

"Bobby! Mommy! Daddy!" Sarah screamed histarically. Bobby didn't calm her down, he was too busy trying to calm himself down. He looked out of his window. The clouds whizzed past him. He put both of his hands on the seat in front of him, so he didn't go flying forward. It was like a rollercoaster that went straight down. His stomach felt like it was at the top of the drop, and that's the way he felt now. The screams brought him back to reality. As he looked beside, he noticed his sister was about to slip out of her belt.

"Sarah hang on!" But it was too late. Her butt flew off the seat first, and as she went hurtling into the air, one of her shoes caught the buckle, but as another turbulence bump came onto them, her foot slid out. She flew into the mid air. She went whizzing past their parents. His mom's arms flew up and his dad tried jumping up to grab her, but she flew farther back. She screamed, but the screams of his sister mixed in with everyone elses. "Sarah!" Bobby was thust forward, and his head smacked up against the back of the seat in front of him, then flung back. He was dizzy for a moment, but then he was brought back by the biggest jerk he every experienced. A few other people were sent hurtling through the air. The old mans scream faded as he landed in the aisle. As soon as he hit, he was sent back into the air, but he was already dead. Bobby could tell by the way his arms and legs moved. He wasn't screaming either.

"Grandpa!" A teenage girl screamed from the middle row. Her grandpa must've been the one that hurtled through the air, and broke all his bones in his body by hitting the floor. Bobby turned away from all the screaming, crying, and dead people and turned towards his window. He could see ground! They were probably only four to five hundred feet up in the air, and decreasing rapidly. Four hundred, three fifty, three, two fifty, two, one, fifty... BANG! Bobby's seatbelt snapped, and he was sent up in the air. His head smacked up against the back of the luggage cabinets. He saw his mom and dad below him, and as he fell, he felt his mother's hands grab his t-shirt. He heard the landing wheels break and crunch under the plane. His father's strength mixed with his mom's pulled him down and on top of them. The way he was laying he could see ahead of them. A lake! Or ocean? He couldn't tell, but in a few seconds they were going to splash right into it.

"Mom! There's a-" SPLASH! Water swooshed past the windows. The planed creeped a few more feet, and finally haulted. It must've been a lake because it wasn't deep at all. He looked out his mom's window. Tons of people were circling around it. He could see blinking lights, and could hear screams and moans from people in the plane. He pushed himself up.

"Honey? Are you okay?" Maggie asked her son.

"Yea I'm fine. Is Sarah? Sarah!" He remembered. She went flying towards the back. His mom and dad were up and right behind him. They were searchin through the whole plane. They stepped over dead bodies. They saw crying families. Bobby thought they should be crying right now, but they were too busy searching for his little sister. "Sarah?! Where are you?!" The whole family screamed.

"Mom! Dad! Bobby! I'm over here!" They heard her screams. The looked all the way back, and her hurtle sent her all the way into the back of the plane. She was pressed up against a pantry. Bobby lept to her, his mom and dad following right behind. Bobby got to her first, and threw his arms around her and lifted her up.

"Are you okay?" Bobby scanned her. She only seemed to have a bloody nose. Maggie and David, the dad, came up also. They pushed around Bobby and took her.

"Yea I'm fine. My nose just hurts," she said, liftin her hand to her face. "It's bleeding."

"Yea babe, but you're okay!" David said with a releif. Every member of the family was fine. "Thank God we're all okay! I mean we could have been like them." They all turned around to look at the frantic families leaning over their dead siblings.

Liz912 This story is really sad but I think it is good nonetheless. You're talented when it comes to composition.
