INT. SUPREME COUNSEL HALL - DAY
They enter a cathedral. They are speechless. They seat themselves next to Kael and Raminz in front of a half circle of unoccupied seats. A gigantic crystal orb-like structure levitates in the center of the cathedral, high above their heads. They begin talking quietly to each other Kael and Raminz talk to each other.
SETH
Em, your eyes are changing color.
He looks intensely puzzled.
EMILY
What?
she looks into his.
(CONTIN)
Yours too. They're turning bright green!
SETH
Yours are turning orange.
They look at Loni and Jade.
SETH
Look at my eyes.
LONI
Oh my God. They're ...
SETH
yeah, yours are turning like diamonds with rainbows of colors.
Loni looks at Jade.
LONI
Jade! Look at everyone's eyes!
JADE
What the....
LONI
Yours are turning really really blue!
KAEL
Shhhh.............Elements...They're coming out.
They focus their attention to the front. One by one, 6 walk in and seat themselves in front of them. There are 7 seats. Each wearing robes of obvious significance and crowns of different shapes and colors in jewels. Each from a different race. Emily looks with surprise across her face. Alethea walks up from behind and sits next to Raminz and Kael. The cathedral soon fills. All looking down at them whispering among themselves. The cathedral quiets, a King-like being walks in, Kael gestures them to stand, the whole cathedral stand as he positions himself in the middle of the other 6.
LORD AHURA
Let us give patron to Lord Malkuth.
The entire assembly close their eyes. The cathedral does likewise. A mass light forms from everyone in the room and strikes the center of the orbiting crystal. It soaks in the lights. It becomes bright and magnificent. It shoots a power through an opening to the top of the ceiling. They all stand with bowed heads. The light dims. They are seated after Lord Ahura.
LORD AHURA, a majestic being with white wooly hair and beard, almost wizard-like.
Let the book be opened.
He opens a large book in front of him. It glows as he opens it.
(CONTIN)
It has come to pass the prophecy and curse of Lady Lilith. My patrons,............... the Elements have arrived. Elements, will you please stand.
KAEL
Stand up.
He gestures to them. They stand looking up at the Counsel. Claps and cheers fill the air. They look around at the mass crowd surrounding them. Lord Ahura quiets the crowd.
LORD AHURA
Let us tribute our grand counsel. (He introduces one by one) King Triton, King and protector of the Abyss and of all the seas, King Tapio, King of the Forests, King Paralda of the Sylphs, Lord Necksa of the Undines, King Djin of the Salamanders and High Tinker Gelbin Mekkatorque of the Gnomes. The Supreme Counsel united under the Kingdom of Zen to protect balance of all and life of all. (O.S.) GRAND APPLAUSE ...you may be seated.
Elements, you have come here for an unprecedented mission of galactic proportion. It was written thousands of years ago that your world, and ours will cease to exist unless there are four births of each element of the earth uniting together in effort to restore balance between my brother, Lord Angra and myself, by eliminating one, Lord Dhonn, whom leads a legion of evil preparing to destroy the cause of good principle, in turn.......taking over every realm of creation in the universe. You Kael, will travel with them to meet with King Tapio (Gesturing his presence) where you will be joined, a salamander of fire to free Prometheus, as he has been returned to the eternal rock whom Zeus cursed then helped free. With Prometheus bound, he has no power to control fire. And only he knows the one who will overturn the king of the Gods.....If they forces of Lord Angra are not defeated, the sun will strike darkening the world forever.
(Cadhla looks at Kael with despair)
(CONTIN)
This salamander is to be bestowed to Prometheus. For his mighty power is rendered useless until the pass of the shift. After this is completed you will travel to Atlantis to meet with King Triton, (He gestures his presence there) where you will travel to the Abyss, the entrance of the dark world and Lord Angra. Here you must join together with Lord Malkuth and strike out Lord Dhonn, finally putting his madness to rest forever.
KAEL
My Lord! How will that protect us from Lord Angra?
LORD AHURA
Lord Angra created Lord Dhonn by the evil nature of him, destroying him will destroy his power. You see, he gave to Lord Dhonn a part of himself, if Lord Dhonn is destroyed, he will have no power. It is at the time of the end of the Mayan long count, December 21st, 2012, when the sun joins the center of the Milky Way this must be done.....Precisely.
The elements look at each other surprised.
EMILY
December?
She whispers with hesitation and reluctance.
ALETEHA
Shhhhh.......
They stare ahead worried.
LORD AHURA
Now, you must take the Elements to the Great Waters for the completion of their transformation.
KAEL
Yes My Lord.
LORD AHURA
(Looking at the Elements)
Young one's, I know you are frightened now, but that will pass away when you take form. May all powers of goodness and strength be with you on this journey. Now, do you have any questions?
EMILY
Yes, .....What about our families my Lord? 6 months is a long time.
Lord Ahura waves toward the orbiting probe. Flashes of them searching on Mt. Shasta, parents arguing, crying, weeping.
LORD AHURA
This is now. But THIS is will what comes to pass if you fail.
Flashes world disasters, mayhem, demons and evil creatures plaguing the earth, fire.
LORD AHURA
NOW, become who you were before your births on earth.
(O.S.) APPLAUSE
Grand Counsel stands before them, the cathedral stands with shouts as a war begins!!! (O.S.) MUSIC
Elements look at each other with strong conviction.
EXT. HILLSIDE-DAY
Several large groups follow Kael, Cadhla and the Elements down to a large pool of purple waters. A waterfall stands one hundred feet. Large jade stones lay throughout the pool. Kael leads with Cadhla. They walk toward the Great Waters.
LONI
Em, 6 months!? What the hell are we getting into? This doesn't sound very promising.
EMILY
Yeah, I now. But what choice do we have?
LONI
And what the hell are we going to turn into? I don't like the sound of that. I mean look at our eyes! I wanna go home Em.
EMILY
How? How are you gonna go home Loni? Just turn around and walk out of here?
LONI
Yes! EM! YES!
She stops. She starts crying. They all gather around her. Kael walks up.
KAEL
What is wrong?
LONI
What is wrong? Are you kidding me? I can't do this! I can't go into some other world and hunt down an evil Lord, let alone kill anything! Are you crazy? I wanna go home Kael.!!!
KAEL
Go home? You won't have a home in 6 months! All you know will be destroyed! Your mom, your dad, everyone you know will die!
EMILY
Kael,...let me talk to her.
Kael walks off with tension. Cadhla comforts him. Loni weeps. Seth and Jade close in. The crowd gathers.
EMILY
Loni... please. If you think for one minute any of us want to be here....
JADE
Speak for yourself Em! I feel it inside of me, I'm meant to be here.
EMILY
Jade. please! I don't share HIS enthusiasm, I'm at least trying. That's all you need to do. Do you remember when we were little and you didn't want to knock on that first door selling cookies? And...I said, just make the first step and the rest comes easy?
LONI
Yea...?
EMILY
Well, it's time to take that first step again. It's something we HAVE to do, and hey........all of us are here together.
SETH
Yeah..Loni....I won't let anything happen to you.
JADE
Because we are together, no one can brake this circle.... you know that.
LONI
Ok......(She clears her throat, sniffles) You promise we stay together no matter what?
EMILY
Yes! C'mon.
The group hugs. They walk toward Kael.
LONI
I'm sorry Kael. ...
KAEL
No, I understand. I shouldn't have been so harsh.....Look,... I promise you, all of you...I will protect you until my last breath. From here to the pit of Hades, I will not surrender.
They are re-assured. They presume walking.
EXT. SHORELINE- DAY
The waters glimmer. The crowd gathers around from the top of the waterfall to the circumference of the pool spread over the grasses. They wait eagerly. The 7 Grand Counsel take position next to them.
LORD AHURA
It is time.
He gestures toward the pool.
ALETEHA
Emily, .... you must go first. I will be here when your complete. Take off your robe.
She looks at Seth, takes a deep breath, pushes forward. She walks to the center of the pool. Everyone watches. The waters rise. It forms around her. A light beams up from the top of the water above her head. Her eyes closed, she is suspended high above the pool. The crowd becomes accelerated. Loni, Seth and Jade stand back dismayed. Then.............
ALETHEA
Seth, Loni, Jade.....
She waves them in.
LONI
Oh man..........Here we go.....
They walk into the pool. Each of them suspend above the waters. Lord Ahura smiles. All four begin spinning around each other. The waters cover them. A bright light forms above each. It strikes high in the air, they become one giant ball of water, spinning. Then...All four shoot out together in a flash at the edge of the water. They land with power and mighty stance. They look at the crowd with intensity. Standing before them are no longer Emily, Seth, Loni and Jade. They are Survana, Dhatri, Aires and Namazzi.
SURVANA, very tall, muscular woman; powerful in appearance, hair deep red, eyes orange.
DHATRI, very tall, muscular, warrior appearance, long black hair braided back tight, eyes bright green.
AIRES, Petite, slender, fairy-like, with iridescent wings, long white hair, eyes rainbow in color.
NAMAZZI, medium, muscular, thinner than Dhatri, silver hair, eyes fiercely blue.
Alethea walks over to them. Kael follows with Cadhla. The Elements stand before them. They turn and bow to the 7 grand Counsel.
ALETEHA
Welcome back Elements. We've been waiting. Here are your robes.
She hands them each separate robes, colored appropriate for their appearance.
SURVANA
I have a profound sense of well being. I am still Emily but myself too.
ALETEHA
Yes, you became her when you transported to the womb.
LORD AHURA
Kingdom! Before you...I Give you....Survana, Dhatri, Aries, Namazzi!!!
(O.S.) Applause. MUSIC
They stand magnificently. They start to walk with Kael, Cadhla and Alethea. The Grand Counsel walk off together. The crowd watch with excitement.
EXT. HILLSIDE- DUSK
DHATRI
Hey, Survana, been a long time, though I like Emily.
He flirts.
Survana smiles, flirts back.
NAMAZZI
Don't start you guys! We haven't even been back for what? 2 minutes?
They laugh. Aires flies over them.
AIRES
Man it feels great to be back in the air! I'm me again!
NAMAZZI
I wanna go home!
He teases Aires.
DHATRI
I can't believe this. I am still Seth, but ...not. It's like something long awaited woke up inside me.
ALETEHA
Yes, you are both in the same.
DHATRI
Strange how I can remember my life on earth ......and my life before.....
NAMAZZI
I think it's awesome! I've been here, but yet...not...yet....I'm back! Wild!
DHATRI
I see Jade has rubbed off on you.
SURVANA
Alethea, how bad is it?
ALETHEA
Lord Dhonn has multiplied his legion ten fold.
DHATRI
Then we shall multiply ours!
KAEL
No, Dhatri, it's only us.
DHATRI
What?
SURVANA
We cannot take them by ourselves. You know that.
ALETEHA
That is the whole purpose for your births into the surface Survana. You now hold the secret weapon against Lord Dhonn.
KAEL
Yes, but it still won't be easy, we can't just wonder into Hades.
ALETEHA
Yes, Kael, but you will see...things will reveal as you go.
EXT. TOP OF THE HILL - NIGHT
The energy dims introducing night. They stand at the edge of the city.
KAEL
Come, we will rest. Then, .... we leave tomorrow.
INT. KEALS BEDROOM - NIGHT
Cadhla and Kael lay in their bed.
CADHLA
Kael, ....my heart pains for you.
KAEL
Oh, my love,...It is what I was called to do.
He caresses her face.
CADHLA
Yes, I know...But, I cannot bare the thought of you being away. It has taken us over 800 years to have a child. The thought of you....
KAEL
Shhh....Rest now.....I WILL return to you, ....to us.......
He rests his hand on Cadhla's stomach. She silently cries while he holds her. He stares up in intense thought.
INT. BALCONY-NIGHT
Survana and Dhatri stand together, Dhatri holding her from behind, they overlook the city lights.
DHATRI
It feels as a lifetime since you were in my arms.
SURVANA
And here we are.
DHATRI
I told you I would find you.
Survana smiles, looks down then up.
SURVANA
You did. It took you long enough. Aires found me when we were only 6.
DHATRI
Well, here we are now. And to have you with me again...in this way.
He turns her around.
(CONTIN)
To be here, on this night, at the very edge of everything....my heart beats with the fire of your soul. We will win this.
SURVANA
Together. All of us.
DHATRI
Yes, all of us. But you, I shall love with all my days.
Survana studies his eyes. He leans in and softly kisses her. He takes her chin and focuses in her eyes.
DHATRI
Now listen to me. You can't do things without me Survana, I know your fire is fierce but, you can't go it alone on this one. You must work as a team with us.
SURVANA
Ok.
He takes her and wraps his arms around her. They look out to the city lights.
SURVANA
It's so beautiful yet, it sits on the brink of destruction.
DHATRI
Come, we need to rest,...we have a long journey ahead of us.
They walk inside.
EXT. HORSE STALLS-DAY
Stall workers are busy with tending horses, cleaning stalls. Elements walk over with Alethea, Kael and Cadhla. The elements are dressed in war attain. Kael walks up to a stall worker. The rest stand at the edge of a fence. They look out at the horses in the field.
NAMAZZI
Horses? Out of all the inventions Lumeria has to offer, horses?
AIRES
Lucky for me huh?
Kael walks over to them with the stall worker.
KAEL
We have to wait for them to get mounted. Then we will be off.
NAMAZZI
Kael,..... horses?
KAEL
We will ride.
Looks at him sternly.
NAMAZZI
(he walks off mumbling to himself)
That's just great....a powerful elemental and I'm riding a sweaty, stinky horse!
ALETEHA
When you get to Wetterhoun Forest, there will be a Festival of The Seasons. They are welcoming summer, so it will be filled with festivities and hundreds in celebration. This dimension knows nothing of the prophecy, so you must not talk about it. Only in the halls of King Tapio and the one he has chosen.
KAEL
Why has he not warned his people?
ALETEHA
Because of the sensitive nature of them. It is in the interest of them to be unaware.
KAEL
I see.
STALLWORKER
Kael, they're ready.
KAEL
Great. C'mon Elements. We ride!
NAMAZZI
Oh fun!. We ride! A horse! Out of all the...
AIRES
Oh, Namazzi, what's the big deal? It's better than walking!
NAMAZZI
Easy for you to say. You have wings! Brat.
Aires laughs and flies along side them.
They follow the stall worker through a stall and out the back overlooking a field next to a stream. Off in a short distance is a heard of white flying horses.
EXT. FIELD OPENING-DAY
KAEL
Ah....There they are. Good, this will do.
STALLWORKER
Very well then, I will have them brought over.
He leaves. Namazzi is busy arguing with Aires, not paying attention.
The other's look on with joy and surprise.
DHATRI
Oh...Namazziiiii.....?
NAMAZZI
Just a minute Dhatri!
AIRES laughs at him while they argue.
DHATRI
Namazzi!!!!
NAMAZZI
WHAT DHETRI!?
He turns to look at Dhatri. Dhatri points out to the field. Namazzi looks. He is enthralled.
NAMAZZI
Yes!!!!! Now that's what I'm talkin about!!!!
Stall workers bring the winged-horses over in front of them. They walk out to mount. Kael turns to embrace Cadhla saying goodbye. He walks up to the biggest winged horse. The rest sit on theirs.
KAEL
Pegasus my friend. You are always a sight to see.
He brushes his neck. Then mounts up. Crowds gather to watch their ascent.
ALETHEA
May the four corners of the earth join you now and all the power of Lord Malkuth serve for the principle of good over Lord Dhonn. Come back to us safely, for The Kingdom of Zen.
KAEL
Ha!
He urges Pegasus to run.
EXT. FLYING SEQUENCE-DAY
They all follow gaining speed, with Kael leading. Aires flying close behind. Faster, across the field they go. The crowd cheers. Faster, to the edge of the waters. In a bound, one by one they take off into the air just over the water. They fly up and back around. Across the entire city of Telon, cheers from every part as they pass by. Across again toward the portal, gaining speed. Faster, they swoop down across Alethea and the field. Up now aimed at the portal. They enter the portal, shooting up and vanishing.
INT. PORTAL SEQUENCE-DAY
The horse's wings tucked, they fly through walls of glimmers. Screams and shouts of excitement from all.
EXT. LANDING SEQUENCE- DAY
Finally, they shoot out of the blue sky over looking the earth, to a forested spread below. The horses take flight again on their descent. They land gracefully, running to a slow, gallop, trot, stop.
EXT. WETTERHOUN FOREST -DAY
They ride though a path in a deep forest. Lush greenery surrounds them.
SURVANA
This place reminds me of home.
KAEL
It should, it is earth, but on the 2nd dimension, before humans came to be.
They come to a three way split in the path.
KAEL
Come,....(he looks around) this way.
He takes the left path.
(CONTIN)
The village is up ahead.
VARIOUS SCENES OF RIDING THROUGH THE FOREST, UNICORNS GRAZE IN ONE SCENE.
EXT. VILLAGE ENTRANCE-DUSK
Very tall Sequoia trees throughout. Two trees stand on each side of the path at the entrance with a wooden sign reads: WELCOME TO WETTERHOUN VILLAGE. A banner under it reads: SUMMERFEST! HAIL KING TAPIO Music in the air, festival underway. Wild Boar roasts over scattered open fires, gnomes, salamanders, brownies, pixies, sylphs, dryads, elves, Bigfoot, and dwarves celebrate together. Dancing, games, various festivities. Long tables of food, wine barrels etc. Some gather to greet them.
GNOME
Ahhh!!!! Visitors!!! Welcome!!! Plenty of food!!! Come now, get off your horses.
KAEL
Thank you! Thank you!
They all look with amusement. They got off the horses at the far corner of the village. King Tapio walks up to greet them.
KING TAPIO, elderly Elvin-like man.
Welcome Elements,..... Kael.
They bow.
(CONTIN)
You must be hungry. Please, go eat. enjoy. You have a long road ahead of you.
KAEL
Thank you Sire. But we cannot stay long.
KING TAPIO
Yes yes. I know. Remember, none of them know why you are here.
KAEL
Yes. I know. Have you designated a salamander?
KING TAPIO
Yes, he awaits. I told him he would be a legend throughout the land after this journey. He is very excited.
He looks around.
(CONTIN)
Ah yes...there. There he is.....Tith.
He points to a young man, with very soft green skin talking and laughing with drunk gnomes and brownies.
TITH, almost salamander in facial appearance, long slender body.
Tith looks over at them. He excuses himself and walks over.
KING TAPIO
I must return to some important matters, Tith will see that you are taken care of.
KAEL
Of course my Lord.
King Tapio walks away and disappears into a royal hut.
TITH
Hello! I've been waiting for your arrival. Welcome.
They all greet him.
NAMAZZI
Hey Tith! Where's the grub?
TITH
Grub?
AIRES
Namazzi has a language of his own Tith. I'm Aires.
TITH
Hello, and you are?
SURVANA
I'm Survana, this is...
DHATRI
Dhatri.
TITH
You must be Kael?
Kael nods.
(CONTIN)
Alright, follow me, I'll show ya where to eat. Are you carnivorous or vegetarian?
NAMAZZI
Finally! Some real food! Bring on the meat!!
KAEL
Vegetarian for me.
He looks at Namazzi with disgust.
EXT. FESTIVAL-NIGHT
They walk away toward the festival, talking among themselves.
EXT. IN THE WOODS-NIGHT
(O.S.) Bristling in the woods. CAMERA ON THE FESTIVAL FROM THE BORDER. An evil ghoulish creature watches them eat at a round wooden table. The creature gets closer. Dhatri senses something. He looks out to the border of the trees. Survana notices him looking around. Kael notices.
EXT. TABLE-NIGHT
KAEL
What is it?
Dhatri, with eyebrows narrowed, looks in closer. The creature falls back quietly.
DHATRI
There's a presence in the forest.
He looks at Survana with an unsettled look.
KAEL
We should get going. If there's anything following us, we don't need to bring it here.
TITH
I agree.
EXT. VILLAGE STALLS-NIGHT
KAEL
We must ride these horses now.
NAMAZZI
Oh.........Why? Why must we ride these sweaty horses when we have THESE magnificent creatures!?
KAEL
Because....they ARE magnificent. You wouldn't want them to die in battle now would you?
NAMAZZI
I knew it!
EXT. DEEP FOREST-NIGHT
They ride through the darkened path, alert. Tith is a form of a salamander in Aires` pocket, he looks out, watching. Dahtri and Kael stop. They all stop. They listen.
KAEL
There!!!! Get back!!!
The ghoulish creature charges them. Kael pulls his ancient Chinese double edged sword.KAEL FIGHTS AS A PROFECIENT CHINESE WARRIOR. He swings. It leaps over him hissing. He charges again. Dhatri jumps in front of Kael, with both hands, he pushes him back with a mighty force. He falls back.He charges again. Namazzi spins through, he punches him hard, knocks him down. Kael runs up swinging his blade, he is hit. He gets up and charges again, swinging his blade. Survana leaps in with a ball of fire, she shoots, striking him down. He lays there. Kael rushes up, blunts him to his death.
KAEL
There will be more, quick we must keep going.
EXT. BEHIND TREES-NIGHT
Another Ghoul falls back and watches them. (O.S.) Heavy breathing.
SURVANA
You should put him out Namazzi before he sets the forest on fire.
Namazzi puts the fire out with his power of water.
NAMAZZI
You been served!
AIRES
Always showin off!
The reality of the dangers set in as they push forward.
EXT. EDGE OF THE FOREST -DAWN
TITH
There! Up that mountain Prometheus awaits.
Scenes of them running the horses across the land.
INT. LORD DHONN'S HALL-DAWN
Dark stone walls. Torched lights. Fire throughout the land. Resembling H
