Seriously, death wasn't my enemy that night. It was more of a friend than anything.
The guy stared at me as if trying to figure me out.
I sighed impatiently waiting for the pain.
He spoke,”If I kill you it seems it would only help you. I can kill you in a...different way.”
I watched him puzzled. His face wasn't visible through the rain, but he seemed to be pleased with his thoughts by his chuckle.
He stepped closer once more and stared into my eyes searching for anything. Then he tilted his head curiously. I looked up closing my eyes trying to listen to the rain hoping it wouldn't hurt as much if I didn't think about the pain. Of course I didn't know what his plan of torture was.
Then sharp pain came from my neck. My eyes shot open and I watched as he pulled away from me letting me fall to the ground. I gasped for air as I touched my neck and blood was now dripping from my fingers.
My head began to spin and my sight blurred. My heartbeat grew louder as darkness filled my vision. Words were mumbled probably towards me, but I didn't understand them as I felt my body go numb. I slept.
